I doubt it's anti PKK though. One of the mods here is from the Kurdish Institute. Maybe she knows more. But it's true that they aren't related to PKK and Ocalan.

In fact one of the kidnapped guys was kidnapped by the PKK in the past .... ten years ago or something. This is a dumb action of the PKK. But you cannot critisize them apparantly. Everything they do is good, according to the pro-PKK blogs and pkk-supporters.
I don't think that's the reason they learn Turkish. That's because of national education and the fact you can get a better life if you are a Turkish nationalist in Turkey.
Wasn't Qers/Wan Armenian before? All those cities have different names and different spellings. It's no problem to use a Turkish/Kuridsh/Assyrian/Armenian version.
