Today a Kurdish boy got killed in violent clashes between the Turkish army and Kurdish demonstrators. Seven other people were wounded, including two journalists.

The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

The Turkish army usually do this when they have mutilated the bodies of Kurdish guerrillas. Or if they have used chemical weapons to kill guerrillas. It's the best way to get rid of evidence that wouldn't be in favour of the "EU adapted" Turkey.
