America is the "current" ally of Kurds in Southern Kurdistan but the ally of Turks in Northern Kurdistan, that's the explanation... but in the same time, they don't support a Turkish intervention against the PKK basis in Qandil. This asking of closure is just a bone thrown to pacify a bit the Turkish pitbull...

I don't think they have closed. I saw their cameramen in the Conference for Western Kurds yesterday.

Don't worry people...

It is passed that point... Now, it is impossible for them to shut Roj TV... There is no support for it - the EU, US - NOBODY want's to break down on FREEDOM... Turkey has gone TOO FAR... It's HYPOCRACY is clear for all to see...

Remember Erdogan going to Amed, telling people that he would put an end to the oppression and that Kurds would have their CULTURAL rights? Well - he lost ALL credibility, when he told them to shut down Roj TV, and THAT is why he won't succed...

DIE TURKISH GOVERNMENT, DIE!

I don't think that Denmark will close it. 2 countries have made this asking : Turkey and US, and they are the less loved states in Western Europa.

Dont worry... The US only did what was "politically correct" to do... It doesn't want to destroy the PKK and it doesn't want to shut down ROJ TV! Because destroying the PKK - will anger it's only allies in IRAQ, and also it's future friends, the Western, Eastern and Northern Kurds - who will be needed in future games against Iran and Syria!

False ,
1-Talibani and Barzani wouldnt give a shit , the history has proved it.
2-if talibani and barzani give a shit, america wouldnt give a shit that they give a shit. [what a funny sentence]

are we just going to watch and hope it not be closed ? let defend ourself and tell them NEVER THINK ABOUT THIS AGAIN !

Dyaoko... Who cares what Barzanî or Telebanî does or doesn't?

I am talking about the support PKK has among KURDS as a KURDISH political struggle for our rights...

There are TENS of THOUSANDS of PKK supporters outside of Bakûr...

Yes you are right... Mexmûr has a lot of ex-Bakûrî's... And there are like three parties which are of-shots of the PKK in Bashûr...

But the reason the US doesn't eradicate the PKK is obviously because it will need the PKK and Kurdish popular support against the Syrian and Iranian regimes... Which BOTH despise Kurdish aspirations...

Even though PKK has no support among the parties in Bashûr - it does have popular support among Kurds in general... Even if a person is PUK support he/she will express support for PKK in Bakûr...

Some Rubin's article is linked in this article

Turkey has always been not only an important U.S. ally, but also a regional model of tolerance. The combination of rule of law and diversity of belief have been the bedrock of the Turkish state. Anyone enjoys full rights as a Turkish citizen so long as they uphold the law. Discrimination has been rare. The Jewish and Alevi communities have thrived. The second president of the Turkish republic was Kurdish. Istanbul is home to peoples who trace their roots across Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It is ironic, then, that even as Turkey rests on the threshold of European Union membership, the AKP government is undercutting the tolerance and commitment to the rule of law that has so long made Turkey a regional model

I must confess that sucks...

Ismet Inönü, Kurdish??? this guy was an awful racist...

I adore it, especially in 1925, 1937-1938, 1980, 1992, etc...
