Future of Kurdistan: plans, ideas, suggestions welcome

PostAuthor: Anthea » Tue Oct 31, 2017 4:29 am

Remember: Failing to plan is planning to fail

Many years ago a friend designed an identity card for ALL Kurds everywhere

Please click to enlarge:

I think that now would be a perfect time to re-activate the project

Nobody know the true number of Kurds in the world

Card will make people feel they belong

Many Kurds do not even know they have Kurdish ancestors

WE recommend Kurds living in diaspora make friends with local people

Sadly, most Kurds in diaspora tend to remain in tight close-knit communities and often have NO contact with local people/communities

Let other people see Kurds for the warm, welcoming, friendly people they are :ymhug:

Share your celebrations with other cultures and as you learn the languages and customs of you new homes, they in their turn will learn all about you, your culture and why you have had to leave your lands

Kurds from all parts of Kurdistan should UNITE

Sadly, here in the UK, Kurds from different parts of Kurdistan seldom mix

I have discovered from my many friends, that this is not just a strange phenomenon affecting the UK, it is something that occurs in many other countries

I know that language plays a part and have never forgotten a day many years ago:

I sat with 2 Kurdish friends, both well known leaders, and we could NOT talk to each other

Many Kurds know very little about the history of Kurdistan other than their own part

Due to years of suppression many Kurds know very little of their own history, especially those from Northern Kurdistan

Kurds have to share and learn from each other

We urgently need individuals, and groups of people
to study the Iraqi constitution and Bremer's Law

Possibly not as exciting as watching football or soaps on TV - but a great deal more interesting and important for the well-being of the Kurdish Nation

As Trump would no doubt say were he a Kurd:

Let's Make Kurdistan Great Again

Let us start compiling a list of actions that need to be taken

Things Kurds can do to obtain support

Starting with letting people know who and where Kurds are

Please click on image to enlarge:
840

This was written some years ago in support of Northern Kurdistan

BUT

You will see that the words Northern Kurdistan have been replaced with Turkish Kurdistan

This poem was written in English as part of a report, also written in English, hopefully to be read by English speaking peoples

At that time almost nobody had heard of Kurdistan it was, and still is especially now, extremely important that non-Kurds be aware of who Kurds are, where they are and what is happening to them

The above being the reason I strongly disapprove of the terms Rojava and more especially Democratic Federation of Northern Syria

Rojava means nothing to the vast majority of people - if nobody knows who people are or where they are it will not win them much support

Rojava is the Kurdish word for WEST, the area should be called Rojavayê Kurdistanê‎ or WESTERN KURDISTAN

Many THOUSANDS died fighting for the right to call their country WESTERN KURDISTAN and certainly NOT the Democratic Federation of Northern Syria X(

We need to re-awaken

KURDISH PRIDE

Only then can we work towards

KURDISH UNITY

And establish every Kurds dream of an

INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN

Here in the UK, as in most other countries, there are outdoor celebrations in parks

It would be lovely if groups of Kurds were to organize dance groups to preform at these venues

Also, some parts of the UK have multi-cultural events where Kurdish music, dance and food may be shared

The Kurdish community centres should share joint events and celebrations

Kebab Shops, Fish & Chip Shops, Barber Shops and Cafes should all have photos of the beautiful countryside on their walls

Play Kurdish music - give Kurdish CDs to English visitors/customers

Give the price of one packet of cigarettes to local group providing Kurdish lessons for the children

LEARN KURDISH HISTORY

Has the situation in Kurdistan improved in the past 2 months?

NO

In the past 2 months:

Iraqi troops have invaded Kurdistan

Many Talabani are traitors and arranged for Iraqi army to invade

Iraq has laid claim to lands that are rightfully Kurdish

The same lands that were stolen by Saddam Hussein

The international community does not help Kurds

Kurds show unity and pride on National Flag Day

Traitors started protests to weaken Kurdistan

3 generation of Barzanis dedicated their lives to an

INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN

The referendum showed us that the vast majority of Kurds still want Independence

We just have to hope that the Kurds wake up to the fact that they are being sold out by greedy politicians who are in the pay of other countries

I say the above as a matter of FACT

Masoud Barzani told my friend that several of his colleagues/advisors were in the pay of other countries

Kurds have to stop allowing themselves to be turned against each other and UNITE

I still have hope :ymparty:
