Emmunah, what does Shalom mean?

Last Friday there was an Isreali movie on TV here called (Shalom Shalom)... It was about couple of Police officers invistigating a robbery and murder case. Then they arrested an innocent funyy guy. When they were investigating him... they asked his name.. he replied my call me Shalom Shalom. So till the end it was all about Shalom.

Shalom is Hebrew and means "Peace" -it is used for saying "hello" and is an inviting tone to use when interacting with people... It means the same as Assalamu Aleikum... Peace be with you...
