Among the most recent and on all the parts of Kurdistan, I know these titles :

A Modern History of the Kurds of David McDowall and A People Without a Country of the same author.

Easy to find them on amazon, for example.

Moreover,

Jonathan Randal had written a good book, After a such knowledge, what forgiveness ? but if think it is mainly about Kurds in Irak, and Michael Gunter on Kurds in Turkey : The Kurds and the Future in Turkey.

If you want a book that focuses a little more on social history than the political history of the Kurds, Christine Birds "A thousand sighs, a thousand revolts" is fairly decent.

I bought a book in a exhbition that KRG hold in Iran ,
it is a small book (148 Pages-witth large font and 1/2 A4 pages-)

"A Brief History of Kurdistan"
Kurdistan Regional Government Minstery of Culture
by Fuad Taher Sadiq

it is in English and the writer Fuad Taher Saqiq says "it is the first book about Kurdish History by a Kurd in English"
but unfrotunately it hasnt been Typed nice, I mean , the Text Font is Italic Arial "Bold". that annoys me.
and also it has several Spell mistakes , you can hardly not find a Spell mistake in a page.
I tried to send an e-mail to the author (mailto:foad_tahir_sadiq@hotmail.com), about the mistakes that found in the book and the things that he can do to make his book better...
. but his e-mailbox is closed ! (yeah stupid Hotmail closes your e-mail if you dont check it for a month , I really hate it when ppl give their Hotmail e-mail adress to me....)

but over all it is a very usefull book ! that has Brief information about Kurdish history from anicent times to now !
but I cant find it in internet (can anyobody ?)

I wish the Roshanbiri Minstery in KRG sell these books on internet...or
the author himself add it to Amazon.com

it is a shame that we Kurds who are an unfoced nation, dont even have a good brief history of our own history in English that is accessable in Internet.

by the way pilling and Delal, do you think I can find the books that you mentioned in Amazon?
