I am aware that the majority of Iranians are freedom-loving people and they do not need anyone to teach them about freedom or democracy.

They can be supported in order for their regime change to succeed, but a military solution is not the answer for their problems. It will just add more fuel to the fire like the current problems in Iraq.
Well it's going good in Kurdistan, don't you care about this Bryar?

On the longterm military regime change is better, because even if a majority is against the Iranian regime, the regime have all the power/army/etc.. they can never win.

Ermm I don 't agree on "going very good"..hundreds of innocent people die on a daily basis, and the new "terror" term has given more power to the Kurdish government to label its opponents as "terrorists"..For example the protesters in Kalar were called "terrorists" by some people..

A lot of people have died to be honest...Arabs as well as Kurds..The Iraqi army is mainly Kurdish and Shitte so when you hear "20 Iraqi soldiers died", I am sure half of them are Kurds.

I don't really support a US-led military campaign against Iran but rather supporting the Iranian factions to change the regime from within... That will save a lot of lives...

I don't agree, but I don't have time.. only one question.. you want an independent Kurdistan or...

United States does not bring an independent Kurdistan :) They have made that very clear.
I am not asking that.

And about the "friendly" regime change. You think this doesn't cost lives? A small demonstration already costs around 70 lives.. and a lot of wounded and arrested people..

Can you imagine what happens with a regime changes from within...
probably lot of deaths too..

yeah and difference between Iraq and USA is that a majority of iranians will fight against US. They hate their regime, but a lot of them are also proud to be Persians, and love their country...

I mean some people in Turkey don't like Turkish republic as it is today, but if US invade turkey they will defend it...same thing

Changes have to come from the country, not from the White House.

Tom - get your facts straight---> Persians are only one of 9 (big) distinct ethinicities in Iran... And the term for people who live in Iran isn't "Persian" - it is "Iranian"... You used it in the first line - but I don't understand why you would say "a lot of them are also proud to be Persians" -

I wonder if Kurds in Iran are so fond of the Great Iran. But I don't know if they would welcome American or not. Probably, except PJAK.
