Under the shadow of World War One, 'The slaughter of the innocents' began in Turkey
under the Ottoman Empire, assisted by the Kurds (Kurdish Irregulars).
Assyrian men women and children living in their ancestral homeland in "South-East Turkey" (Kurdistan or Assyria), were massacred, a total of seven hundred and fifty thousand (750,000) innocent civilians were butchered in 1914-1915, which became known as "The Year of the Sword" and 'Pharman', also internationally known as the Armenian Genocide.

Isn't Bedr Khan a Kurdish name?

The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

No... I don't think so - that would be highly unlikely... (Although I wouldn't rule out that option)

The one you speak of - his sister or daughter - Leyla was a famous dancer in Egypt... Now she lives in France... If she isn't dead already... Actually I think she might be dead

ok have a look :

1289 A.D.
Kurds attack over 70 Assyrian towns. Over 500 men are killed and 1000 children are carried away into captivity.

Can we have those 1000 childrens back??? would be very kind.

1297 A.D.
Ala Al-Din, son of Jaja, a mongol, marches against the city of Amedia in Assyria and conducts massacres, burns churches, and carries away over 12,000 Assyrians into captivity.

where can i find these lost 12 000 in mongolia? or in turkey or by the kurds or where?

1578 A.D.
A kurdish force of 10,000 attacked the Assyrian city of Urmi [in Iran], and killed, looted and carried off over 1000 Assyrian prisoners. Soon after this, the Turkish Pasha of Rawandoz sacked the villages of Alqosh and Tel Kepe, and pillaged the monastery of Rabban Hormizd, killing many monks and one bishop.

can i have these 1000 assyrian man back with their familiy and hmm you have to calculate how much they would be now so 1000 each person 5 Kids then that number 5000*14(generations)= 70 000 i hope i calculated it right.

and so on on that example you can see why Assyrians are just some 3-4 millions.

dont get mad guys just an exmaple do show you why we cant inhabit that area which is called Assyria.

and if we have a look at the 750 000 killed lets say of this there are
750 000 * 5(children each familie)= 3 750 000

and those 3 750 000 * 4(Generatitons)= 15 000 000 + 4 000 000(those of today)= 19 000 000 Assyrians in the area of Assyria wow there we wouldnt have any problem to get indepentend but well it wasnt so and its very sad.

You are right. Khan isn't a Kurdish name. It orignates from Mongolia and Turkestan.. Bedirxan is something else I think.
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

Bedirxan only means Bedir Khan or "Emperor Bedir". Khan was a prestigious title, as Beg from Atabeg or Mîr, or Sultan etc. Each people who ruled in the Middle-East had let a mark of its policy.

And Badr is an Arab name. It means "Moon" .

So Bedir Xan means "Emperor Moon", very nice name.

Yes, Xan means "Lord" - but "Bedirxan" is a Kurdish name - it is a NAME - not title - My fathers cousine is named Bedirxan - it isn't because he is a LORD (his uncle is) - Kurds don't use "Xan" as a title like Axa or Mîr - we use it only as a polite way of saying a persons name... "Dîrî xan" - "Mr. Dîrî"...

Also I have a relative named Ezîzxan - "Precious Mr."! LOL

yeah of course it is a name. And especially now, with this famous dynasty. But a lot of names could have a foreign etymology. For example my name comes from Greek. I am not Greek !
