The failure of Communists and Leftists in Islamic World

The failure of communist and leftist political parties (leftist Front) in Islamic and Arab world is similar to the failure of Islam in Spain during middle ages although Muslims ruled Spain for hundreds of years. This is because Leftist Front is another sort of religion just like Islam, Christianity and the rest. All religions are ideological and no ideology can override another ideology or coexist with it in environments similar to today’s Islamic World or the time when Muslims ruled Spain.

This is because each ideology evolves to reform or annihilate the previous one. So a previous ideology can not accept and tolerate the new one. But a new ideology could accept an older one conditionally. Islam accepted older religions for the head tax. But older religions didn’t accept Islam in any conditions on their own way. This explains the failure of Islam in Spain. The same logic applies on the failure of leftist front religion in Islamic and Arab World. Because both religions, Islamic and Leftist Front, are very far from each other and have nothing in common, and the majority people adhere to the older ideology, Islam.

We can also use the position of early Muslims to prove this point. Early Muslims tried to spread Islam in Ethiopia but they failed because another ideology, Christianity, had already, taken root in Ethiopia. But they succeeded in Arabia because there was a right environment. Arabs were simple atheists and it was not difficult to convert simple atheists with the right incentives.


All religions, ideologies, doomed to fail to achieve their ideological objectives. Finally they end up either like what happened to communists in Eastern Europe or become cultural like Islam and Christianity passed from generation to generation. Religions fail because they are idealistic and want to exist in a real and natural world. Religions and natural world are two incompatible components, one nullifies the other. In this case natural world can nullify religions but not the other way round. This explains the success of capitalism.

Capitalism is naturally compatible. It produces the means, ‘property’, to the end, ‘survival’. Capitalism produces and protects properties ‘goods and services’ because without properties life can not exist. The need to produce and protect properties explains the reason behind the evolution of multi national companies and Globalisation. The reason for both is to prevent war to prevent damage to life and property. This is some thing all religions have failed to achieve and that is way they have failed.
