Indeed there are Persians in Iran. Originally people of Fars province of Iran are supposed to be pure Persian tough currently main body of Xurasan (Khorasan), Yăzd, Krman, Seman, Tehran, Qûm, Isfăhan, Mărkăzi, Fars, Hormozgan, Bushehr, Gilan, Mazăndăran and Qăzvin population are considered as Persian. Of whome that Mazăndăran, Gilan and Hormozgan have different-unique languages such as Talyshi, Gilăki (including Mazăni) Hormozi (close to Gorani-Sorani Kurdish and somehow Băluci). Also non-Persian dialects or languages like Sivandi (Kurdish dialect spoken around Shiraz), Bushehri (close to Hormozi language), Semnani (an old language), Raji (central Iranian dialects related to Persian), Eastern Tati (spoken widly in rural areas of Tehran, Qăzvin, Zănjan and Qûm atleast till sixties, now seems to be extinct) were (or still are) spoken in mentioned provinced. Presently Persian is spoken or widly has influnced local tongues in those areas. But with regard to racial characteristics Răzăwi Xurasan, Southern Xurasan, Semnan, Isfăhan, Krman, Yăzd, Qûm, Mărkăzi, Qăzvin, Tehran, Fars and Bushehr could be considered as Persian populated provinces. No need to explain Persians history as it’s a flat fact that Kurds (by atleast 2700 years regal history) and Persians (by 2550 years regal history) are most ancient communities (which are still existing) of Mid East after Jewishs.
Pan-Turkism and Manic-Dogmatic statistics about Turkish minorities
Turkish speakinh minority of Iran (including Azeris, Qashqayis, Turkamans) compose around near 20% of Iran’s population. Surprising that by 1960’s they contained 17% of Iran’s population that shows a certain assimilation which still is kept on. Mainly occurred in Tati (if im not mistaken Tati language is now an extinct language which in 1960’s was still spoken in several rural areas of Azerbayjan region of Iran), Talyshi and some Kurdish and Persian areas (like assimilation of Persians ino Qashqayis in Fars province and Khurasani Kurds into Turks; occasionally transpired in vice versa, Turkish into Persian and Kurdish). For instance in Talysh city (largest Talyshi city in Iranian Talysh) currently Turkish is widely spoken! Pan-Turk Turkish speaking Iranians (mainly of Azeris) like the rest of Pan-Turks foolishly (or naively) try to propose manic-dogmatic statistics about Turkish minorities. They also more manic-stupidly try to prove such silly matters like “ Turkish minority in Iran compose 40% or more of its population!!!”, “All Persian poets were Turkish!!!”, “ Ancient Iranian civilizations were Turkish!!!!”. Such stupide proposes which could only belong to manic-naïve minds belongs to their ineradicable tendency towards heterodox believes and believing unreals as real facts. Kurds theirselves are fairly introduced by similar silly matters like “Kurdish language is a Turkish dialect!!!!”, “Turkey’s entire population are Turks and Muslims!!!!”, etc.
Just a brief observation on Pan-Turkism and its logic will prove its essentially Pan-Dogmatism and its logic is fairly a strange mixture of hallucination and paranoia. For example their basic idea is about an illusional land called “Turan” which they believe it as the origin of Turkic tribes (further communities). By 1990 they changed the term Pan-Turkism into Pan-Turanism in order to contain newly independent states of Central Asia and Azerbaijan. It’s remarkable to be brought in your attention that the term “Turan” is created by Ferdowsi, Persian epic poet, to call a imaginary rival land in north of ancient Iran (probably equal by Scythians land on real). In ancient Iranian texts only “Tura” and “Tora” terms are mentioned which are supposed to refer Scythians. You see what a ignorant and illiterate somes are Pan-Turkish intellectuals that their basic believes is based on a medieval Persian epic which its poet has sizeable verses about hating Turkish invaders and their ignorant, cruelty and heartlessness as many other Iranian poets have such verses too. Iranian expression “Ceşm Tăng in Pe. And Caw Tăng in Krd.” pertains to Turks. Subscribing Turks jealousy, resentment and knowing nothing of being bighearted. There are some poems from Mowlăwi, Ferdowsi about Turks and their evilness as cruel invaders :
خون خوری ترکانه کاین از دوستی است
خون مخور ، ترکی مکن ، تازان مشو
کشتیم پس خویشتن نادان کنی
این همه دانا مکش ، نادان مشو
Văgoŕin : xwen dăxwăy Turkană kă ămă lă dosti tu ă/ [băĺam] xwen măxwă, Turki măkă, hereşbăr măbă/ xwăt kuşt awăta nadani măkă/ ăm hndă dana măkuĵă, nadan măbă
Trans. : you dink blood like Turks/ don’t drink blood, don’t act alike Turks, don’t be invaders/ don’t be fool/ don’t kill many sages, don’t be silly
به نِفرين تُرکان زَبان بَرگُشاد
که بی فِتنِه تُرکی زِ مادَر نَزاد
Văgoŕin : bă dĵweyni Turkan vă krd/ kă be ftnă Turk lă dayki năza
Trans. : started to hate Turks/ as there is no Turks that has not a kind of evilness in his manner and mind
نان ترکان مخور و بر سرخوان / با ادب نان خور و ترکانه مخور
Văgoŕin : nani Turkan măxwă û sărî sfră/ bă ădăb nan bxwă û Turkană (bă Turkayăti) măxwă
Trans. : Don’t Turks meal and while eating meal/ be polite, don’t be alike Turk and don eat as much impolite and rude as they eat.
And many other poems and verses.
Recent DNA examinations proved that Yakuts (primitive community living in tip of north east Russia) are Purest Turks. You might wish to take a view of these Purest Turks :

Indeed nowadays Azeris are a mixture of Tati, Kurdish, Talyshi and Turkish. Nevertheless may most of them carry Turkish culture, beside speaking Azerbayjani as a Turkic variety. But no doubt that they are ethnically a mixture of mentioned races and none Turkish. As I know only 10% of Turks of Turkey carry Turkish genes and the rest are carrieng Greek, Kurdish, Armenian, Caucasian (Abkhaz, Georgian) and Semitic (Arab, Assyrian) genes.
