Blinken mislead Congress on Israel

Blinken deceived the administration because US law restricts the delivery of armaments to countries that refuse American humanitarian help

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is under increasing pressure to quit after a ProPublica report published earlier this week revealed that he misled Congress about "Israel's" blockage of humanitarian supplies to Gaza. He is accused of misleading the American people to keep US weaponry flowing to the Israeli occupation despite committing genocide in Gaza.

As per the report, Blinken contradicted conclusions from his own department's experts and USAID in a May report to Congress, alleging that Israel was not "prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of US humanitarian assistance" to Gaza.

In a 17-page memo sent to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in April, USAID told top US diplomats that US law requires the administration to cut off weapons shipments to governments that prevent the delivery of US-backed humanitarian aid. The Refugees Bureau also delivered a similar evaluation.

According to ProPublica, both Blinken and the administration of President Joe Biden refused to accept the conclusions reached by the two US agencies
"We do not currently assess that the Israeli government is prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of US humanitarian assistance," Blinken said on May 10 to Congress, after receiving the reports.

Blinken deceived the administration because US law restricts the delivery of armaments to countries that refuse American humanitarian help.

Israel continues to rely substantially on foreign military contributions, mainly from the United States, to sustain its military aggression in Gaza and Lebanon.

According to US law, deceiving Congress is grounds for impeachment. According to Sam Perlo-Freeman, a professor and former researcher with the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Blinken "should resign or be impeached."

Stacy Gilbert, a State Department officer, resigned after the final report to Congress, claiming "abundant evidence showing Israel is responsible for blocking aid" and called the denial "absurd and shameful." Gilbert is one of scores of US officials who have resigned in response to Washington's cover-up of 'Israel's' slaughter.

Human rights groups and academics have joined the call for Blinken's resignation or impeachment. The incident has also renewed debate regarding the Biden administration's overall position on 'Israel's' aggression in Gaza.

Blinken, Biden's actions are shameful

The Islamic Resistance Movement - Hamas released a statement, commenting on ProPublica's report on Wednesday.

Hamas condemned Bliken and Biden's deliberate concealment of evidence of Israel's non-compliance with US aid missions during his addresses to Congress
The movement said that Blinken did so, in complicity with Biden, "Out of fear that it would impact weapons supplies to the occupation's military."

It said that the revelations serve as evidence of Washington's involvement in the genocide of the Palestinian people.

"This criminal conduct by Blinken demands that honorable members of the US Congress and American judicial bodies investigate his actions, which have led to the deaths of thousands of our people," Hamas underlined.

"We call on international judicial institutions, foremost among them the International Criminal Court, to take these reports seriously and take the necessary legal action against Blinken," the movement urged.

Hamas stressed that Blinken had participated in the deliberate starvation and the genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip through his actions.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad: We are confident that the Lebanese national resistance will continue its struggle for justice in the face of the occupation

The crimes of the Israeli occupation continue in Palestine with a still increasing death toll, deliberate starvation, and the spread of highly contagious dangerous diseases.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced on Sunday that the number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Strip since October 7 has now reached 41,595, with 96,251 injured as the war marks its 359th day
Additionally, the Ministry stated that the Israeli occupation continued to commit massacres against families in the Strip, killing 9 people and injuring 41.

It noted that thousands of victims of the aggression remain trapped under the rubble and on roads inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews, as the occupation continues to prevent rescue teams from reaching them
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres encouraged last Thursday world leaders to strengthen funding for the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), which offers crucial services to almost 6 million people, according to Anadolu.

On the margins of the UN General Assembly sessions in New York, Jordan and Sweden co-organized a high-level conference in support of UNRWA, during which Guterres described the situation in the Gaza Strip as "beyond imagination".

Guterres stated that the people in Gaza are in a "living hell that somehow gets even worse by the day."

He highlighted that "there is no alternative to UNRWA" and asked all UN member states to work across all fronts to intensify support for the Agency.

Guterres stated that UNRWA "is not a sustainable long-term solution to the plight of Palestine refugees" and reiterated his call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, captives release, and a "two-state" political solution between Palestine and "Israel" with occupied al-Quds serving as the two sides' capital.

Until then, he argued, "UNRWA remains indispensable," reiterating the "full support" of states.

The UN head stated that 2 million Palestinians are squeezed into a tiny space, living among "lakes of sewage, piles of rubbish, and mountains of rubble" and cautioned that "the only certainty is that tomorrow will be worse."
UNRWA is seen as a beacon of hope amid the bleak situation, according to Guterres.

The Agency is experiencing enormous operational and political problems, he maintained, with "222 UNRWA colleagues killed, many with entire families, several in the line of duty" and the "highest death toll in UN history."

Guterres cited Israeli "campaigns that discredit the Agency's life-saving work" and the Knesset's decision to declare UNRWA a "terrorist organization", citing that "in the face of the catastrophic conditions, UNRWA perseveres."

“Virtually all donors have reversed their funding suspensions,” he said. “This underscores the consensus that UNRWA’s role across the West Bank and the region is vital.”

Israel assassinated Sayyed Nasrallah
    with US-made bomb
US Senator Mark Kelly affirms that the arms used in Friday's massive Israeli aggression on Beirut's Southern Suburb were supplied by and made in the United States

Israel dropped a US-made bomb during its massive strike on Beirut's Southern Suburb on Friday and the assassination of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, a US senator revealed.

Mark Kelly, chair of the Senate Armed Services Airland Subcommittee, indicated in an interview with NBC that one of the weapons used in Friday's aggression was a 2,000-pound Mark 84 bomb made and supplied by the United States.

“We see more use of guided munitions, JDAMs, and we continue to provide those weapons,” he said, emphasizing that the Mark 84 was used to assassinate Sayyed Nasrallah.

It is noteworthy that the Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) system converts standard unguided bombs into precision-guided munitions by adding a tail section with adjustable fins and a GPS guidance system.

US to protect interests amid rising Middle East tensions: Blinken

Earlier, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that the US will take "every measure" to protect its interests in the Middle East if they are threatened.

His statement followed the Israeli aggression against on the Southern Suburb that led to the martyrdom of Sayyed Nasrallah.

Speaking at a news conference during the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, Blinken claimed that the US favors diplomacy over conflict.

The Secretary of State claimed "Israel has a legitimate objective that people can return to their homes," emphasizing that "going back to October 6 in terms of the border between Israel and Lebanon is not sufficient."

While the US claims to be making efforts to reach a ceasefire in both Gaza and Lebanon, figures suggest that these allegations are merely a smokescreen.

Most recently, the Israeli Security Ministry announced that it had secured an $8.7 billion aid package from the US, including upgrading air defense systems.

Gaza in ruins, Lebanon besieged:
    Little defense for Israeli actions
The Guardian columnist Nesrine Malik believes the only serious threat is to the stability of the Middle East, which Israel is rapidly jeopardizing

According to Nesrine Malik, a popular justification for Israel's aggressive actions through Palestine and the region is the false claim that it is surrounded by hostile nations seeking its destruction.

Like many, this explanation for its maniacal ways is not only untrue, but a distortion of reality.

Malik writes in The Guardian that the events of the last several months, as well as the recent assault on Lebanon, illustrate that Israel poses a threat to its neighbors, and not vice versa
Malik recalls the killing of 558 Lebanese people in one day, 50 of them children. First responders, humanitarian workers, first responders, and government personnel were also not spared.

After the attack that killed Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Friday destroyed six Beirut residential buildings, she contends that "a Gaza in microcosm is quickly unfolding," with thousands fleeing for safety, traumatized children, heavy fatalities, and an escalation in which there is no limit to the civilian lives that may be lost to achieve Israel's aims.

According to Malik, Israel excuses their murders with a defense that, as usual, relies on worries of an "existential threat". However, in terms of genuine and serious dangers to regional stability, "Israel is the pugnacious out-of-control force," has just launched a campaign in Lebanon and assassinated Sayyed Nasrallah against the clear desires of the United States.

Gaza a critical test for Arab countries

Rather than seeking Israel's annihilation, several regional governments have recently deemed the problem settled or at least shelved, mostly on Israel's terms. Egypt signed a peace pact with the occupation more than 40 years ago, Jordan made peace in 1994, with Israel still occupying the West Bank.

In the Abraham Accords, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan all agreed to normalize ties with "Israel" and recognize its sovereignty, or to start the process. Insiders have told Malik that Saudi Arabia does not consider the war on Gaza a major game-changer and that if and when it ends, it will continue toward normalization.

Malik views the Gaza conflict as a critical test for Arab countries dealing with their own internal challenges.

Saudi Arabia wants to focus on domestic development rather than global politics, and Qatar maintains close ties with the US Jordan struggles economically, hosting many Syrian refugees and relying heavily on US aid. Meanwhile, Syria remains silent amid Israeli attacks on its soil, and Lebanon grapples with its political crises.

Malik questions why the occupation continues to portray itself as besieged in a territory that has either long been domesticated or has too many of its own problems to care?

The author notes that Israel's siege on Gaza, what is widely condemned as apartheid in the West Bank, its continued occupation of territories, and its illegal settlement expansion are the source of Israel's security challenges, the heart of the region's rising tensions
As long as these conditions prevail, uprisings, both justifiable and illegitimate, will continue from the intifada until Operation al-Aqsa Flood.

Fatal confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces(IOF) and Israeli settlers will also occur, provoking a cycle of retaliation from nations such as Iran and resistance groups like the Lebanese Resistance and the Yemeni Armed Forces.

Pentagon raises troop readiness fearing potential Iranian attack

Amid Israel's increasingly aggressive actions in the region and its airstrikes on civilians which threaten an all-out war, the US has also increased the readiness of its soldiers.

The US Department of Defense stated on Sunday that it has increased the readiness of extra US soldiers to respond swiftly to a potential assault by Iran and its allies against US personnel and interests in the Middle East.

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin "increased the readiness of additional U.S. forces to deploy, elevating our preparedness to respond to various contingencies," a Pentagon statement read.

It emphasized that the Pentagon "maintains robust and integrated air-defense capabilities across the Middle East, ensuring the protection of U.S. forces operating in the region."

The statement boasted that the US has the capacity to deploy forces "on short notice" and maintains a "significant amount" of capability in the region amid the evolving security situation.

According to the Pentagon, "Secretary Austin made clear that should Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take every necessary measure to defend our people."

This comes as the Israeli occupation requested that the United States act to deter Iran from waging any retaliatory attacks over its assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Israeli and US officials told Axios' Barak Ravid on Saturday.

The Israeli war has now been raging on for nearly a year, with the ongoing Gaza genocide and the brutal aggression on Lebanon claiming the lives of tens of tens of thousands of people, combined with full US complicity.

Meanwhile, Iran has been taking a less confrontational approach, according to Axios. However, the assassination of such a major ally while flagrantly violating Lebanon's sovereignty is expected to lead to a major Iranian response.

Erdogan urges UNGA to end Israeli war

The Turkish President calls on the United Nations General Assembly to implement the 1950 Uniting for Peace Resolution amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called on the UN General Assembly to promptly advocate for the use of force in the Gaza Strip amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Palestinian enclave, referencing the 1950 Uniting for Peace Resolution.

The resolution, adopted in November 1950, allows the General Assembly to issue recommendations for collective measures, including the potential use of armed force, when the Security Council is unable to act due to a lack of consensus among its five permanent members.

"A handful of radical Zionists, blinded by blood and hatred, are setting the region and the whole world on fire. We will never consent to this cruelty and barbarism," Erdogan indicated, following a Cabinet meeting in Ankara on Monday, about the continued Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and Lebanon
(there speaks a man who knows all about barbarism)

In his address to the General Assembly last week, the Turkish President pointed to Israel’s genocidal actions against the people of Gaza.

He also reiterated that global peace and security should not be determined by the five privileged nations that hold permanent seats on the UN Security Council.

Erdogan noted during the UN General Assembly that Israel escalated its attacks on Lebanon, killing more than 1,000 people, including children, in the past two weeks.

Since September 23, Israeli occupation forces have launched a massive aggression on Lebanon, conducting extensive airstrikes across the country, especially its South and East, as well as the Southern Suburb of the capital Beirut, where Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was assassinated.

Erdogan affirmed his country's steadfast support for Lebanon, stating, "I clearly stated in my meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister (Najib) Mikati that Turkiye stands firmly by their side."

"As a result of Israel's attacks, which do not distinguish between civilians and military personnel, the needs of our Lebanese brothers are growing dramatically," the Turkish leader underscored, adding that many have been displaced due to the aggression.

According to Erdogan, Turkish civil society groups "are on the ground despite the difficult conditions, doing everything they can (to deliver) humanitarian aid. We have also stepped up our diplomatic efforts to stop Israel's attacks."

The Turkish President underlined that "the international community can no longer remain silent in the face of this criminality by Israel, which is setting the entire region on fire."

"Islamic countries should have the biggest reaction to oppression in the Gaza, West Bank, and Lebanon. As Muslims, we need to lead the world in curbing oppression," he urged.

He expressed regret over the lack of economic, commercial, or diplomatic actions from the global community to compel "Israel" to accept a ceasefire deal.

"Today, Israel sows seeds of enmity that will last for generations with its massacre policies, and those who support it are complicit in this crime," Erdogan asserted, adding that "with its escalating state terrorism, Israel is not only undermining faith in international law but also damaging the reputation of the countries that support it."

Regarding Turkish humanitarian aid to Lebanon, he confirmed that Turkiye has so far delivered 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Lebanon and will continue these efforts as long as security conditions allow.

Sirens sounded all over Israel

Sirens have gone off all over occupied Palestine as the Iranian response to Israeli arrogance has kicked off

Numerous missiles have reportedly made an impact as the attack continues to unfold, with reports indicating that over 400 missiles and projectiles had been launched from Iran toward the occupied Palestinian territories.

The IRGC released a statement following the launch of the response, saying "We have targeted the heart of the occupied territories in response to the assassination of martyrs Haniyeh, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Nilforooshian."

The statement further said, warning "Israel", "If the Zionist regime retaliates to the Iranian operation, it will face violent consequences."

Israeli reports, on the other hand, indicate that somewhere in the ballpark of 300 rockets had been launched from Iran.

Operation Truthful Promise 2

The IRGC's operation has been declared "Operation Truthful Promise 2", after its antecedent "Operation Truthful Promise", during which an unprecedented drone and missile attack was launched at Israel from Iran, in response to the Israeli assassination of its officials and aggression on its embassy in Damascus.

In a second statement, the IRGC confirmed that three military bases in Tel Aviv were targeted: Nevatim, Hatzerim, and the Tel Nof Airbase.

In detail, the Nevatim base houses the F-35 fighter jets, and the Hatzerim base houses the F-15 fighter jets used to assassinate Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The IRGC affirmed that the latter was targeted in response to the assassination of Hezbollah's martyred leader.

The Shafaqna news agency, in this context, had reported that at least 20 F-35 fighter jets were destroyed during the Iranian operation.

Additionally, at least 80% of Iran's ballistic missiles and projectiles launched from its first wave toward occupied Palestinian territories made impact and struck their targets, Iranian news agency Fars reported, citing a source familiar with the matter.

The attack also successfully hit gas platforms near the occupied city of Askalan, according to Tasnim news.

Iraqi Resistance warns US, Israel against attack

The Iraqi Resistance's coordination committee released a statement after Iran's response, warning US forces that if they were to intervene in a strike on Iran, or if "Israel" were to use Iraqi airspace to execute any strikes against Iran, then all US bases and interests in Iraq and the region would become legitimate targets.

According to a New York Times report, the time that the first missile took to strike "Israel" (less than 15 minutes) seems to suggest that ballistic missiles were fired.

Similarly, The Washington Post reported the explosions ultiple waves of sirens and multiple explosions, including a huge boom, could be heard from Tel Aviv. The explosions, at least 20 of them, sound like heavy warheads exploding — very different from the more familiar sound of air defenses intercepting Palestinian rockets.

In this context, Iran's IRIB news agency reported that the IRGC used the Fattah hypersonic missile in its attack. The Fattah reportedly pierced the Israeli anti-missile shield, which consists of Arrow-2 and Arrow-3 anti-ballistic missiles.

According to the New York Times, which cited the White House, US President Biden and VP Kamala Harris were following up on the Iranian response against "Israel" from the White House operations room. Biden orders the army to "defend Israel against Iranian strikes and to down the missiles targeting Israel."
The Israeli occupation forces and the Red Alert service indicated that sirens were activated all over "Israel", with settlers being ordered to head to bomb shelters and chaos seen as prevailing in the streets all over occupied Palestine.

Commenting on the the Iranian response, US presidential candidate Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social account, in his usual all-caps:
"THIS WAR WAS TOTALLY PREVENTABLE. IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER HAPPENED. IF I WERE PRESIDENT, IT WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED!"
Earlier reports said the targets of the Iranian attacks would include military airbases as well as intelligence headquarters in northern Tel Aviv.

Unlike the baby murdering Israel and US, Iran is not targeting women and children, or hospitals, schools and refugee camps

I remember HIND and more recently the poor man who went to the hospital to register the birth of his twins and while he was there he was contacted to tell him that his lovely wife and beautiful days old babies had all been slaughters by ISRAEL

Hezbollah ensnared Israeli soldiers

The Israeli occupation forces are losing terribly at the occupied Palestinian-Lebanese border area, with Hezbollah dealing heavy blow after blow to the forces who cannot manage to invade

The fighters of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon - Hezbollah carried out a meticulously planned ambush on an elite Israeli force in the Odeisseh region of South Lebanon, causing significant casualties among the Israeli soldiers, field sources in the Resistance told Al Mayadeen on Wednesday morning.

According to the sources, Islamic Resistance fighters had been monitoring Israeli recon troops in the early hours of Tuesday as they moved through a non-open area across Odeisseh. Despite detecting the enemy force, the Resistance fighters refrained from engaging them, allowing the Israeli reconnaissance mission to proceed and return unharmed, allowing them to carry out a more decisive strike later.

Based on the movements and behavior of the Israeli forces, the Resistance fighters prepared an advanced ambush in the al-Mahafer/Odeisseh region, the sources said. They picked a strategic location within a house in the area as their location of choice.

At dawn Wednesday, more than 30 Israeli soldiers and officers began a silent advance into the ambush zone. The Israeli force, unaware of the trap, moved closer to the Resistance’s position, the sources said. Once they were in the ambush zone, which was near the Lebanese-Israeli border, the Resistance fighters sprang into action, initiating the ambush with the phrase, "At your service, Nasrallah."

The ambush started with heavy gunfire and RPGs, with Resistance fighters engaging the Israeli soldiers at point-blank range. The intensity of the attack led to a number of casualties among the Israeli elite troops, whose cries and screams echoed throughout the area, according to the sources.
Tightening the noose

While the ambush was unfolding, a nearby support group from the Resistance targeted enemy supply lines to prevent reinforcements from reaching the ensnared Israeli force. This secondary operation struck the settlements of Misgav Am, Kfar Giladi, and Metulla with artillery shells and rockets, further hindering any Israeli efforts to back up their forces.

As the situation deteriorated, the Israeli Air Force intervened, deploying helicopters to provide cover fire in the region and assist in the extraction of the casualties. In a desperate attempt to cover their retreat, the Israeli troops began using smoke grenades to obscure their movements and facilitate the recovery of their wounded soldiers, Al Mayadeen's sources said.

According to the field sources, the Resistance's fighters promise their greatest martyr, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and the people of Lebanon, that they would persevere in their mission. They reaffirmed their dedication to defending Lebanese territory in line with the plans laid out by their martyred leaders, including the leader of martyrs on the path to al-Quds, Sayyed Nasrallah.

Furthermore, the Resistance declared that the ambush on Wednesday was only a fraction of what awaited the Israeli occupation if it dared to advance into South Lebanon. They warned the Israeli military that more intense confrontations were inevitable and that every inch of South Lebanon would be fiercely defended.

"The days, nights, and battlefield will come to show this enemy who we are," the Resistance declared, vowing that they would continue to strike fear into the heart of the enemy as long as it threatens Lebanese sovereignty.

Israel admits to losses

Israeli occupation forces admitted on Wednesday the deaths of eight occupation soldiers during confrontations with the Islamic Resistance fighters on the southern Lebanese border, including two captains.

According to Israeli Channel 12, the soldiers who were killed fell in two separate locations after being confronted by Resistance fighters from close proximity.

Additionally, five other soldiers from the Egoz Commando Unit, including one officer, were wounded.

As the Islamic Resistance continues intensifying its operations against invading occupation forces, Israeli Army Radio revealed that a unit of the Commandos force encountered fighters inside a building in a Southern Lebanese village.

As an operation to evacuate the occupation soldiers was underway, Hezbollah fighters continued launching mortar shells. A medical evacuation unit was requested to treat wounded soldiers on the field.

An Al Mayadeen correspondent in the South revealed that Israeli military reinforcements positioned in areas across Aita al-Shaab came under Hezbollah rocket fire.

Moreover, according to a statement released by the Lebanese Resistance, Hezbollah fighters were able to destroy three Israeli Merkava tanks using guided missiles as they advanced on the southern Lebanese town of Maroun al-Ras.

Commenting on the results of the confrontations that had been ongoing since this morning, a field source from the Lebanese Resistance told Al Mayadeen, "The heroic epic which our fighters are conducting against Israeli elite forces at several axes in South Lebanon resulted in the killing and wounding of more than 80 soldiers and officers, with almost five tanks destroyed."

Massive blasts in Beirut

Apparent Israeli bombing has caused large explosions just outside Beirut's international airport during a further night of air strikes targeting Hezbollah in the city

It is not clear what was the target, but the airport borders the Dahieh area - Hezbollah's stronghold in the capital.

Elsewhere, the Lebanese army said two of its soldiers had been killed in the country's south as Israeli forces pressed on with their invasion against Hezbollah and ordered another 20 towns and villages to evacuate.

The Israeli military has not commented, but did say its troops had killed Hezbollah fighters near the border. Hezbollah said it had targeted Israeli troops on both sides of the frontier.

The two fatal attacks on the Lebanese army soldiers were just hours apart on Thursday, the third full day of the invasion.

In the first incident, the army said, one soldier was killed and another was wounded “as a result of an aggression by the Israeli enemy during an evacuation and rescue operation with the Lebanese Red Cross in Taybeh village".

The Red Cross said four of its volunteers were also lightly wounded, and that their movements had been co-ordinated with UN peacekeepers.

The army said that in the second incident another soldier was killed “after the Israeli enemy targeted an army post in the Bint Jbeil area”.

“The personnel at the post responded to the sources of fire,” the Lebanese army added, marking a rare involvement in a conflict in which it has not engaged.

The news came as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told residents of another two dozen towns and villages in the south, including the regional capital of Nabatieh, to leave immediately for their own safety.

Unlike the communities ordered to evacuate on Tuesday, they are all located north of the Litani river, which lies about 30km (18 miles) from the border.

Before the invasion, Israel had demanded that Hezbollah’s withdraw to the Litani, in accordance with a UN Security Council resolution that ended their last war in 2006.

Speaking to the BBC from Beirut, the World Food Programme's country director in Lebanon, Matthew Hollingworth, described the situation there as “horrific”
“There is black smoke billowing over the southern suburbs and we see it each morning when we come to work and we see it all day long. And there's a striking number of people who are displaced around the city.”

“There are these cars everywhere that are from people that have fled the fighting in the south of the country and the southern suburbs. There's traffic everywhere, people sleeping outside.”

Juan Gabriel Wells, Lebanon country director with the International Rescue Committee, said nearly half of displaced people surveyed by his organisation in shelters run by the government were children under the age of 15.

'It's still a scene of chaos' - stated BBC reporter outside Beirut building hit by Israeli strike

Israel's latest air strikes on Beirut come 24 hours after a residential building in the centre of the capital was hit. A civil defence agency linked to Hezbollah also said seven of its first responders were among nine people killed in the strike.

Lebanon’s health minister later said more than 40 paramedics and firefighters had been killed by Israeli fire in the past three days.

The Israeli Air Force carried out air strikes during Thursday against targets it said belonged to Hezbollah including the group's intelligence headquarters, weapons production sites, weapons storage facilities.

Two weeks of Israeli strikes and other attacks targeting Hezbollah have killed more than 1,300 people across Lebanon and displaced more than one million, according to local authorities.

Israel went on the offensive after almost a year of cross-border hostilities sparked by the war in Gaza, saying it wanted to ensure the safe return of residents of border areas displaced by Hezbollah rocket, missile and drone attacks.

Hezbollah is a Shia Islamist military, political and social organisation that wields considerable power in Lebanon. It is designated as a terrorist organisation by Israel, the US, the UK and other countries.

The IDF also announced on Thursday that its aircraft had struck 200 Hezbollah “terrorist targets” in southern Lebanon and elsewhere overnight, including weapons storage facilities and observation posts. About 15 Hezbollah fighters were killed when the municipality building in Bint Jbeil was hit, it said.

Later, it said a structure housing three Hezbollah commanders had been destroyed during a joint operation carried out by the air force and infantry.

Hezbollah said on Thursday evening that its fighters had “repelled failed attempts” by Israeli commandos to advance into some border villages during the day.

The group also said it had targeted “enemy gatherings” and homes on the other side of the frontier, while also continuing to fire rockets deep into northern Israel.

The IDF said more than 230 projectiles had been launched into Israeli territory over the course of the day. Most were intercepted or fell in open areas, and there were no casualty reports.

The communities sitting along Israel’s northern border fence are now a closed military zone.

Dean Sweetland, a former British soldier who moved to Israel eight years ago, is one of the few people still living in a near-empty kibbutz within sight of the Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil.

He told the BBC that his house shook several times a day with rocket and anti-tank missiles fired from Lebanon, some of them intercepted by Israel’s air-defences overhead.

“We can’t continue this for another year, having Hezbollah sitting on our border just waiting to do an October 7th on us,” he said, referring to Hamas’s deadly attack on southern Israel last year that triggered the Gaza war.

“But my son is in the army, and do we want our kids to be in there, slaughtered, where Hezbollah has been waiting for us to go in for nearly 20 years?”

“It’s not going to be pretty,” he continued, “but if that’s what it takes, then that’s what it takes.”

Just a reminder of what US tax payers are paying Israel to do

Six-year-old Hind Rajab trapped under fire

The voice on the other end of the line was small and faint; a six-year-old's voice, crackling on a mobile phone from Gaza

"The tank is next to me. It's moving."

Sitting in the emergency call-centre of the Palestinian Red Crescent, Rana tried to keep her own voice calm.

"Is it very close?"

"Very, very," the small voice replied. "Will you come and get me? I'm so scared."

There was nothing Rana could do except keep the conversation going.

Six-year-old Hind Rajab was trapped under fire in Gaza City and begging for help, hiding inside her uncle's car, surrounded by the bodies of her relatives.

Rana's voice was her only fragile link with a familiar world.

Hind had set off from her home in Gaza City earlier that day with her uncle, aunt and five cousins.

It was Monday 29 January. That morning, the Israeli army had told people to evacuate areas in the west of the city and move south along the coast road.

Hind's mother, Wissam, remembers there was intense shelling in their area. "We were terrified, and we wanted to escape," she said. "We were fleeing from place to place, to avoid the air strikes."

The family decided to head for the Ahli Hospital to the east of the city, hoping it would be a safer place to shelter.

Wissam and her older child began making their own way there on foot; Hind was given a place in her uncle's car, a black Kia Piccanto.

"It was very cold and rainy," Wissam explained. "I told Hind to go in the car because I didn't want her to suffer in the rain."

As soon as the car left, she said, they heard loud shooting coming from the same direction.

As Hind's uncle drove towards the city's famous al-Azhar University, the car is thought to have unexpectedly come face to face with Israeli tanks. They pulled into the nearby Fares petrol station for safety, and appear to have come under fire.

Inside the vehicle, the family called relatives for help. One of them contacted the emergency headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent, 50 miles (80km) away in the occupied West Bank.

It was now around 14:30 (12:30 GMT): operators at the Red Crescent call-centre in Ramallah called the mobile phone number for Hind's uncle, but his 15-year-old daughter, Layan, answered instead.

In the recorded phone call, Layan tells the Red Crescent staff that her parents and siblings have all been killed, and that there is a tank next to the car. "They are firing at us," she says, before the conversation ends with the sound of gunfire and screaming.

When the Red Crescent team ring back, it is Hind who answers, her voice almost inaudible, drowned in fear.

It soon becomes clear that she is the only survivor in the car, and that she is still in the line of fire.

"Hide under the seats," the team tell her. "Don't let anyone see you."

Operator Rana Faqih stayed on the line with Hind for hours, as the Red Crescent appealed to the Israeli army to allow their ambulance to access the location.

"She was shaking, sad, appealing for help," Rana remembered. "She told us [her relatives] were dead. But then later she described them as 'sleeping'. So we told her 'let them sleep, we don't want to bother them'."

Hind kept asking, over and over again, for someone to come and get her.

"At one point, she told me it was getting dark," Rana told the BBC. "She was scared. She asked me how far away my house was. I felt paralysed and helpless."

Three hours after the call began, an ambulance was finally despatched to rescue Hind.

In the meantime, the Red Crescent team had reached Hind's mother, Wissam, and patched her phone line into the call.

She cried more when she heard her mother's voice, Rana remembers.

"She pleaded with me not to hang up," Wissam told the BBC. "I asked her where she was injured, then I distracted her by reading the Quran with her, and we prayed together. She was repeating every word I said after me."

It was after dark when the ambulance crew - Yousef and Ahmad - notified operators that they were nearing the location, and were about to be checked for entry by Israeli forces.

It was the last operators heard from their colleagues - or from Hind. The line to both paramedics, and to the six-year-old girl they came to rescue, disconnected for good.

Hind's grandfather, Bahaa Hamada, told the BBC that the girl's connection with her mother lasted a few moments longer, and that the last thing Wissam heard was the sound of the car door being opened, and Hind telling her that she could see the ambulance in the distance.

"Every second, my heart burns," Wissam told the BBC. "Every time I hear the sound of an ambulance, I think, 'maybe it's her'. Every sound, every gunshot, every falling missile, every bomb - I wonder if it's heading for my daughter, if she's been hit."

Neither Red Crescent teams in Gaza, nor Hind's family, have been able to reach the location, which still lies inside an active combat zone controlled by the Israeli army.

"It's hard at night," the call operator Rana said, "when you wake up and hear her voice in your ear, saying 'come and get me'".

We asked the Israeli army for details of its operations in the area that day, and about the disappearance of Hind and the ambulance sent to retrieve her. We asked again 24 hours later, and they said they were still checking.

"Where is the International Court of Justice? Why are presidents sitting in their chairs?" Hind's mother, Wissam, asked.

A week on from her daughter's disappearance, Wissam sits and waits at the Ahli hospital, day after day, filling the absence with a resolute hope that Hind will be brought back alive.

"I've brought her things, and I'm waiting for her here," she said. "I'm waiting for my daughter any moment, any second. I'm begging from a broken mother's heart not to forget this story."

In my valued opinion Biden should be charged with Hind's murder because he uses American tax payers money to fund Israel's slaughter of Palestinian children

Hind Rajab 6 found dead after calls for help

A six-year-old girl who went missing in Gaza City last month has been found dead, along with several of her relatives and two paramedics who tried to save her, after they appear to have come under fire from Israeli tanks

Hind Rajab was fleeing the city in a car with her aunt, uncle and three cousins at the time.

Audio recordings of calls between Hind and emergency call operators suggest that the six-year-old was the only one left alive in the car, hiding from Israeli forces among the bodies of her relatives.

Her pleas for someone to rescue her ended when the phone line was cut amid the sound of more gunfire.

Paramedics from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) managed on Saturday to reach the area, which had previously been closed off as an active combat zone.

They found the black Kia car Hind had been travelling in - its windscreen and dashboard smashed to pieces, bullet holes scattered across the side.

One paramedic told journalists that Hind was among the six bodies found inside the car, all of which showed signs of gunfire and shelling.

A few metres away were the remains of another vehicle - completely burnt out, its engine spilling onto the ground. This, the Red Crescent says, is the ambulance sent to fetch Hind.

Its crew - Yusuf al-Zeino and Ahmed al-Madhoun - were killed when the ambulance was bombed by Israeli forces.

In a statement, the PRCS accused Israel of deliberately targeting the ambulance, as soon as it arrived at the scene on 29 January.

"The [Israeli] occupation deliberately targeted the Red Crescent crew despite obtaining prior coordination to allow the ambulance to arrive at the scene to rescue the child Hind," it said.

The PRCS told the BBC that it had taken several hours to coordinate access with the Israeli army, in order to send paramedics to Hind.

"We got the coordination, we got the green light," PRCS spokeswoman, Nibal Farsakh, told me earlier this week. "On arrival, [the crew] confirmed that they could see the car where Hind was trapped, and they could see her. The last thing we heard is continuous gunfire."

Recordings of Hind's conversations with call operators - shared publicly by the Red Crescent - sparked a campaign to find out what had happened to her.

Hind's mother told us - before her body was discovered - that she was waiting for her daughter "any moment, any second".

She is demanding someone be held accountable

"For every person who heard my voice and my daughter's pleading voice, yet did not rescue her, I will question them before God on the Day of Judgement," she told the BBC. "Netanyahu, Biden, and all those who collaborated against us, against Gaza and its people, I pray against them from the depths of my heart."

At the hospital where she waited for news of her daughter, Hind's mother, Wissam, still holds the little pink bag she was keeping for her. Inside it, a notebook where Hind had been practising her handwriting.

"How many more mothers are you waiting to feel this pain? How many more children do you want to get killed?" she said.

We twice asked the army for details on its operations in the area that day, and about the disappearance of Hind and the ambulance sent to retrieve her - it said it was checking.

We have asked again for their response to the allegations made by the Palestinian Red Crescent on Saturday.

The rules of war say medical personnel must be protected and not targeted in a conflict, and that injured people must be given the medical care they need - to the fullest practical extent and with the least possible delay.

Without US support Israel could not continue this genocide, charge Biden with MURDER

Newborn twins killed by US backed Israel's offensive

It was supposed to be a joyful affirmation of new life in Gaza’s ruins as proud father of twins, Mohamed Abu Al-Qomasan went to get their birth certificates

Instead, as Mohamed Abu Al-Qomasan waited to collect the birth certificates of his days-old twins, he learned the newborns and his wife had been killed in what local officials and witnesses said was an Israeli strike.

“The pain inside me is too big for me to express,” he told NBC News' crew on the ground in Gaza in an interview. “I still feel like I am in a nightmare.”

Holding up the birth certificates of Ayssel and Asser with tears in his eyes, he said how he had been racing to retrieve the precious documents Tuesday when he received the gut-wrenching call.

"Someone told me, 'The apartment you were living in was shelled,'" said Abu Al-Qomasan, speaking from Deir al-Balah, the city in central Gaza where he and his family had sought shelter in an apartment building during Israel’s monthslong military offensive in the enclave.

Abu Al-Qomasan said he raced to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, where he was told his loved ones had been taken, hoping to find them alive.

Instead, the worst awaited him: The children he and his wife had welcomed to the world just four days ago had been killed, along with their mother, Joumana Arafa, and the twins' maternal grandmother.

In video shared on social media, the father can be seen wailing as he falls into the arms of a companion, still gripping the twins' birth certificates as others gather around, trying to console him.

Later that day, he could be seen mourning with loved ones over the covered bodies of his family in video captured by NBC News' crew.

"I swear they preceded you to heaven," one man can be heard telling the grieving father. "Today we buried a woman and her husband."

Arafa, a pharmacist, had given birth to the twins on Saturday.

Abu Al-Qomasan told NBC News that he and his wife had done everything they could to stay safe during Israel's offensive in hopes of seeing their twins born safely.

"She was so scared, worried and wondering if the children would be fine," he said of his wife, whom he had married just over a year ago.

Abu Al-Qomasan said he had been working outside Gaza for years as an accountant before returning to the enclave for the wedding, with hopes of building a family with his wife. He said the couple had tried to flee Gaza after Israel launched its offensive, but to no avail.

After being repeatedly displaced inside the enclave, he said, he and his wife had understood the area they were staying in to be part of the "safer" humanitarian zone and had even been in touch with humanitarian groups that he said had told them "not to leave this area, as it is safe."

On a Facebook page appearing to belong to Arafa, the last post announces the arrival of her newborn twins with heart emojis around their names.

Since then the post has been shared thoisands of times with friends of the family and social media users mourning their deaths.

The Gaza Civil Defense Agency said in a statement that Israeli shelling had hit a group of apartment buildings in the area, while witnesses also described shelling early that morning.

The Israel Defense Forces told NBC News in a statement Wednesday that the "details of the incident as published are not currently known to the IDF."

The IDF reiterated past statements that it "only military objectives and employs various measures to minimize harm to civilians."

In a separate public statement Wednesday, the IDF said its troops continued operations in central and southern Gaza, with its aircraft striking more than 40 targets over the past day.

More than 40,000 people, including thousands of children, have been killed in Israel's monthsl ong military offensive in the Gaza Strip according to local health officials. The Health Ministry in Gaza has said that at least 115 newborns have been killed since the war began.

Israel has been accused in the International Court of Justice of genocidal acts in its deadly offensive, which it launched in the wake of Hamas' Oct. 7 terror attack, in which some 1,200 people were killed and around 250 others taken hostage, marking a major escalation in a decades long conflict.

Both Israel and the United States have rejected accusations of genocide in the Gaza offensive

Efforts to negotiate a cease-fire deal that would bring an end to fighting in the enclave and see hostages released have so far failed to yield results, with talks set to resume in Qatar's capital.

With no clear cease-fire in sight and his life shattered, Abu Al-Qomasan said he does not know what he will do now. And he noted he is far from alone.

"There are a lot of casualties who died in similar incidents," he said.

"My children won’t be the first, but God willing, they will be the last."

Iraqi Leaders Aim to Avoid Escalation

Despite efforts by Iraqi political and militia leaders to prevent escalation in the region, certain factions within Iraq appear to be intensifying the conflict

On Friday, a drone attack launched from Iraq targeted Israeli forces, killing two soldiers and wounding 24 others, according to an official statement from the Israeli military.

This development follows earlier reports that Iraqi militias had agreed to refrain from targeting US and Israeli interests amid rising tensions between Israel, Hezbollah, and Iran. Iraqi leaders, including Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudani, have been working to distance Iraq from the ongoing conflict to avoid destabilizing the country politically and economically.

However, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq has claimed responsibility for this latest drone strike, describing it as retaliation for Israel’s military operations in Gaza and Lebanon. This move marks a significant deviation from the stance taken by Iraqi leadership and more mainstream militias, which had sought to focus on humanitarian efforts rather than military actions.

The attack underscores the challenge Iraqi leaders face in managing internal divisions, as certain militant groups remain determined to engage in the broader regional conflict, escalating tensions and risking further instability within Iraq itself. While the Iraqi federal government continues to advocate for de-escalation, the actions of these factions threaten to draw Iraq deeper into the ongoing conflict.

Israel bombs hospital in South Lebanon

Israeli occupation forces directly shelled the Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil in direct violation of international law

Israeli occupation forces fired artillery shells at the Salah Ghandour Hospital in the city of Bint Jbeil, southern Lebanon on Friday, resulting in casualties among healthcare workers Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.

In detail, Red Cross emergency workers attempted to transfer the wounded from the hospital, however, Israeli occupation forces refused to guarantee the safety of ambulances. The decision to do so was communicated via the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL), which said that the Israeli military command said that the hospital was an "unsafe combat zone."

Nine of the 15 healthcare workers operating in the hospital were critically injured and Israeli occupation forces only okayed the transfer of five individuals to hospitals in Saida.

Medical workers evacuated their fallen co-workers using their personal cars and transferred the remaining casualties to the Tebinne Governmental Hospital, along with residents in the area.

The Islamic Health Society, one of Lebanon's leading non-governmental organizations dedicated to health and emergency services, said that seven of its paramedics operating in Marjiyoun Governmental Hospital were martyred in an Israeli aggression. This includes martyrs, Mohammad Jaafar Hreish, Jaafar Dawi, Hussein Suweid, Mohammad Hasan, Abbas Tarraf, Ali Gharib, and Ali Munther.

The Society's centers in Shaqra and Khirbet Selem were also targeted on Friday, where paramedics, Mu'in Tamim, Mustafa Ali Dib, Abbas Ftouni, and Hamza al-Tawil, were martyred.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Order of Physicians in Beirut issued an urgent appeal to the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and "anyone capable of ending the Israeli massacres against Lebanon's medical sector and ambulance teams."

In its statement, the Order emphasized that "this ongoing aggression on the medical sector and ambulance teams... blatantly violates the United Nations charters and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, particularly concerning the right to healthcare," as well as the Geneva Convention.

They stressed the need for immediate intervention to halt these criminal acts against the wounded and healthcare workers, affirming being "resolutely committed to our humanitarian mission, regardless of the cost."

The Order also expressed deep regret that "three hospitals have been forced to shut down their service due to Israeli aggression," referring to Marjayoun Hospital in South Lebanon, Sainte Therese Hospital near Beirut’s Southern Suburb, and Salah Ghandour Hospital in South Lebanon.

Middle East closer to all-out war

Over 2000 people have been killed in Lebanon since hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah began nearly a year ago

There have been many moments of extreme danger over the past year. This is the worst.

In the past seven days, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has been assassinated, Israel has launched a ground invasion of Lebanon, and Iran has fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles at targets across Israel.

Western and regional powers - led by the US - have pushed for de-escalation. The UN Security Council called for an "immediate end" to hostilities and the G7, which includes the US, UK and Germany, has called for “restraint”.

But so far those efforts have failed - and the Middle East stands closer than ever to all-out war.

Here’s how the last week played out

Friday evening: Nasrallah is assassinated.

As the sun set over Beirut on 27 September, the south of the city was hit by a series of huge explosions.

Several apartment buildings had been struck, leaving a huge crater in the ground. Plumes of dust and debris filled the skyline, visible from across the Lebanese capital.

The strike, aimed at an underground bunker, killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Seen as a prize-target, Nasrallah had not been seen in public for years for fear of being assassinated by Israel.

His death capped a week of ramped-up Israeli strikes targeting Hezbollah that had left more than 500 people dead.

The week before that, a series of walkie-talkie and pager explosions targeting the group left at least 32 dead and over 3000 injured.

Nasrallah’s death wiped all hopes of a de-escalation, which just hours earlier had seemed possible.

A US proposal for a 21-day ceasefire had been discussed on the sidelines of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York. Israel’s UN ambassador Danny Danon had even said his side was “open to ideas”.

But hours after the strike, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was on an early flight home from the UN - and any lingering hopes of diplomacy prevailing faded away.

Monday night: Israel invades Lebanon

Three days later, Israeli forces crossed into Lebanon, marking the start of a ground invasion.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said its operations would be “limited and targeted”.

Fighting so far has driven nearly 1.2 million people from their homes, according to Lebanon’s crisis unit. At least 8 Israeli soldiers have been killed.

Israel says the operation is aimed at stopping Hezbollah's ability to launch rockets and drones over the border – something it has done on an almost daily basis since Hamas, its Palestinian ally, launched a deadly raid into southern Israel almost a year ago, triggering the current Gaza war.

Now Israeli troops are fighting a ground war on two fronts simultaneously: Gaza and Lebanon. That hasn’t happened in decades.

The last war between Israel and Hezbollah, in 2006, ended inconclusively with UN Resolution 1701, which stipulated Hezbollah withdrew its forces from southern Lebanon.

That never happened, and with Iranian support, Hezbollah grew in strength.

Israel has not said that it wants to remove Hezbollah entirely from Lebanon’s political landscape (as it has with Hamas in Gaza), but for all its talk of this being a “limited and targeted” operation, it’s clear that Israel is ruthlessly determined to cut Hezbollah down in size.

Spurred by an astonishing two and a half weeks, Israel is in an ambitious frame of mind.

Map showing areas targeted in the Israel-Hezbollah conflict.

Tuesday evening: Iran attacks Israel

The next day, at around 19:30 local time, 10 million Israelis were sent running for bomb shelters across the country after Iran launched nearly 200 ballistic missiles at Israel.

The nation's air defence system sprang into action - and allies including the US and UK were involved in repelling the attack - another sign of the broadening scope of the conflict.

The IDF said most of the missiles were intercepted, but that a small number struck central and southern Israel. The only person reported to have been killed was a Palestinian man in the occupied West Bank.

With its biggest proxy group in disarray, Tehran calculated that to restore some semblance of deterrence it needed to do something more dramatic than its last well-telegraphed missile and drone attack on Israel in April.

Hence the larger number of ballistic missiles and the lack of advance notice.

But while the attack was more than purely demonstrative, it did not appear to signal Iran’s desire for an all-out fight.

That’s hardly surprising. If it came to a full-on war, Iran knows that it would lose, and badly.

It could even herald the end of the Islamic Republic. (obviously US propaganda)

Israel, with powerful western allies - and a smattering of Middle Eastern neighbours willing to help shoot down Iranian missiles - is a regional superpower. (how can any country support the Jews after the horrors it has committed against the Palestinians)

Iran, economically fragile and led by an unpopular government, is no match. Nor does it have the sort of allies that would be willing to spring to its defence in the event of a confrontation.

The supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, made suitably defiant noises at Friday prayers in Tehran, but Iran knows it cannot afford to escalate much further.

What next?

Despite Hezbollah’s devastating losses, it has vowed to fight on in Lebanon.

And history shows us it is easy for Israel to enter Lebanon, but difficult for them to leave.

As for Israel’s response to Iran, the region - and the world - has been on tenterhooks since Tuesday.

US president Joe Biden said he has discouraged Israel from striking Iranian nuclear or oil facilities as part of its retaliation.

A severe reaction seems inevitable, though, and some of Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent rhetoric suggests that he might be thinking, ultimately, of regime change in Iran.

But Israel’s immediate objectives are closer to home. “Total victory” in Gaza and removing the threat posed by Hezbollah along the northern border.

Israeli leaders point out that they at war on many fronts. Benjamin Netanyahu says there are seven: Gaza, Lebanon, the West Bank, Yemen, Iran, Iraq and Syria.

It’s true that over the past year, attacks have come from all these directions, even though pro-Iranian groups in Iraq and Syria have so far posed little real threat.

We’re not seeing an all-out regional war just yet, but with so many players feeling they have a stake in it, the war in Gaza has metastasised in a dramatic fashion.

41,825 killed, 96,910 injured by Israel

A number of the victims were transported to the few semi-operational hospitals, while unknown numbers of others are still stuck under the rubble as Israeli occupation forces continue to block their path

On the one year mark of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation committed three massacres against Palestinians and their families, murdering 23 and injuring 66 more.

A number of the victims were transported to the few semi-operational hospitals, while others are still stuck under the rubble as Israeli occupation forces continue to block their path and obstruct all rescue efforts.

For 365 days, the Israeli occupation with US support, has been massacring Palestinian civilians and wreaking havoc in Gaza, raising the death toll to 41,825 civilians killed, and 96,910 more injured.

Israel has killed about 17,000 children in less than a year

Israel has murdered around 17,000 children since it launched its genocidal war on Gaza in October 2023, local authorities revealed on Sunday.

Ismail al-Thawabta, the head of Gaza’s Government Media Office, told Anadolu that at least 16,859 children, including 171 infants, have been killed by the Israeli war machine since October 7.

He further added that "around 25,973 Palestinian children now live in Gaza without one or both parents due to the Israeli aggression."

The Israeli war on Gaza has left an unbearable mark on the enclave's children, ensuring a lifetime's worth of challenges if they survive.

Never forget newborn twins Asser and Ayssel who along with their mother were slaughtered by Israel, while their father was receiving messages of congratulations as he went to obtain their birth certificates

Never forget 6 years old Hind who cried for help for hours while sitting in a car full of dead relatives, only to be slaughtered by Israel along with the ambulance drivers who had gone to rescue her
