I was in Turkey 2 years ago.Turks hate kurds.
Millions Albanians and Bosnians live in Turkey ,too .But Turks love them.
But They hate kurds. Because kurds in Turkey are realy boor ! Belive me.

My cartoon is not representative of racism against the Turkish people. The bear does represent the Turkish government, as correctly implied. The reason why the cartoon uses the bear is to represent something large, powerful, and fearsome. The little person that was mauled by the bear represents Kurds, something weak with little defense against the bear.

I am simply trying to convey the political situation of the Kurds in Iraq (it can also represent Kurds in Turkey). Earlier this year, the Turkish government performed a military offensive into the Kurdish controlled regions of Northern Iraq claiming it was self-defense against PKK. Meanwhile, the threat of a military incursion sent a menacing message into the hearts of the Kurds in Iraq of the awesome might of the Turkish military and its ability to enter Iraq unimpeded. The original cartoon had the word "Russia" instead of "Turkey" on the bear, and the word "Georgia" instead of "Kurdistan" on the sash.

My message to all of you is that when Russia, one of the most powerful nations in the world, as well as a member of the UN Security Council, was performing military actions in Georgia, it was met with fierce worldwide opposition that forced them to turn back. However, Turkey acted with similar aggression along the border of Iraq and all that was heard was the mouse-like squeal of the Kurdish people against the backdrop of helicopters, marching footsteps, and dropping ordinances. This sends a chilling message to Kurds in Iraq, that they should live in fear of the massive "bear" that awaits for them in the future.

I would have hoped that the message implied by the cartoon would have been intuitively clear, however it seems I had over-estimated that effect.
