it is surely going to be their propaganda machine. they will also target young people not to join PKK. they'll say to Kurds, look your language is free, and you have freedom an so on on. this might even lower DTP votes.

Of course. Whoever pays for the broadcasts (Government) will try to spread their own propaganda. On the other hand, it is a good thing for Kurdish culture, as it will give it an air of legitimacy. The letters (W,X,Q) are already being used on the TV as I watch it right now, so the courts will have a hard time in the future arguing against using those letters.

I just watched Şivan Perwer, Ciwan Haco and Ayşe Şan songs on the TRT6. Just a few years ago people were being arrested for playing Kurdish music. It's true that Kurdsih TV is no big deal nowadays that there are tens of other channels out there, but the fact that government has come to the conclusion that it is in its interest to broadcast in Kurdish is quite significant.

Kurdish politicians should now push for Kurdish instruction at public schools, and They are already calling for that. That is going to be a hard and torturous path, no doubt.

1)Kurdish to become educational language where Kurds are a majority.

2)to use the historic name of ''Kurdistan'' instead of south, east and southeast Anatolia.

BTW Kurdish rights are not limited to these.
Also Turks owe a big apology to the Kurds for more than a century of political, cultural and economical persecution and discrimination; from destroying Kurdish self-rule by attacking Kurdish principalities in 1800s to banning Kurdish to this day.
