Kurdistan Government adopts a special plan for the development of Kurdish study in the Kurdish separated areas

Image

Erbil, July 19 (KRG) - The Minister of Education, Government of Kurdistan, on Wednesday announced for the adoption of a special plan for the development in the kurdish language study in the disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad, noting that the study of Kurdish in those areas is suffering because of the reluctance of teachers for teaching.

According to Esmat Mohamed, The Ministry of Education, "the Kurdistan Government had adopted a plan to develop the study of Kurdish in the disputed areas between Erbil and Baghdad, but the plan is not yet complete", pointing out that "the Council of Ministers has adopted a special plan for the development and resolve obstacles to the study of Kurdish in those areas, because the solution to these constraints is greater than the capacity of the Ministry of Education".

Mohammed said that "the main problems faced by the Ministry of Education Government of the Region regarding the development of the study of Kurdish in disputed is the reluctance of teachers for teaching in those areas, at this time the Ministry administratively can not force teachers to teach in the disputed", adding that "the share of the Ministry Education of the total number of appointments provided by the Government of the Territory for the current year amounts to about 4 thousand degrees and careers mostly dedicated to teachers".

He added by saying that "The ministry will seek through the grades available to us to address the shortage of teachers in the Kurdish language study in the disputed areas".

And the international and arab media shows only shias and sunnis as victims, but the Kurds are the biggest vigtims before and after the Iraq war. Look at Diyala, Ninawa and Kirkuk, every bomb is against Kurds. Thousands of Kurds die and thousand kurdish families have been forced to leave their homes before and after 2003.

The only diffrent is that before 2003 the Regime kill Kurds and now Terrorists with the backing of the iraqi government kill Kurds.

The genocide and arabisation in this areas will continue if this area will not return to Kurdistan. We have not much time, because one day this area will be completely Arabized.

Gorran Movement: Kirkuk is a Kurdistani city

PostAuthor: alan131210 » Wed Jul 25, 2012 5:38 pm

i think they are losing support in KRG after Nawshirwan visit to iran and not giving their vote to withdraw confidence from maliki so they come out with this

The director of the Gorran (Change Movement) in Kirkuk says Kirkuk is Kurdistani and no compromise is allowed over its statu.

Gorran is the biggest opposition party in the Kurdistan region with 25 seats out of 111 in the Kurdistan parliament. Adil Kakaiyie, director of Gorran in Kirkuk told Sbeiy.com, “Although the two ruling parties firmly challenged us, we have an organization and formation now. That’s why we’ll have our own observers for the next election.”

Kakaiyie said their relationships with other parties is ‘good’ in order to make progress in the city. “We’ll be tough on national issues.”

“We’ll never compromise over the Kurdistani status of Kirkuk. Although all the ethnic groups and factions are part of this city, but it’s Kurdistani and we’ll try to return it,” Kakaiyie said.

The Gorran Movement announced its formation on July 25, 2009, the first day of the elections where it got 25 seats. On July 3, 2010 Gorran took part in the Iraqi parliamentary elections where it got eight seats. It’s an opposition block both in the KRG and Iraq.

Peaceful Solution in Sight to Standoff between Armed Forces

PostAuthor: alan131210 » Thu Aug 02, 2012 1:37 pm

Image

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region -- Following days of tension between Kurdish and Iraqi armed forces close to the Syrian border, a peaceful solution might have emerged.

Discussions have turned to activating a joint committee that would coordinate the movement of Kurdish and Iraqi troops in the so-called disputed territories.

Shwan Taha, a Kurdish lawmaker in Iraqi Parliament, said the committee’s role has been weakened since the departure of U.S. troops late last year.

Calling the advancement of the Iraqi army units toward areas that have been under Kurdish control since 2003 a “violation,” Taha added that “it is expected that in the coming days the problem will be resolved.”

Thousands of Iraqi troops tried to cross Kurdish lines in and around the district of Zumar in northwest Nineveh province last Friday, but were blocked by Kurdish Peshmerga forces.

A tense standoff followed, sparking fears that a military conflict between the two sides might break out at any moment. Kurdish forces threatened to respond with force to any attempts by Iraqi troops to move into areas under their control.

Zumar is one of the “disputed territories” that both Kurds and the Iraqi government lay claim to. The majority of the population in the district is Kurdish.

The Iraqi government said troops were dispatched to control the border with Syria where the ongoing battle between armed rebels and President Bashar al-Assad’s army is taking place.

But Kurds suspected the deployment of forces was meant to assist Assad’s regime, and part of a larger plan to gradually take the “disputed territories” out of Kurdish control.

In a meeting yesterday between the heads of parliamentary blocs in Iraqi Parliament and Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, MPs asked the PM to resolve disputes with the Kurdish government through dialogue.
