Why isnt kurdistan on the map at the ottoman empire time?

Why isnt it there? Ive always known that kurds existed in these areas but how come they were never on the map at the time of the ottoman empire?

Ive read that kurds existed in mesopotamia but when were they in turkey?

Turkey isn't the Osman Empire. Only Western people used the term "Turkey" and "Turk" in the past. The Osman state didn't define themselves as Turks, Turks were feudal backward peasants for them living in rural regions. Actually it was a bad word, untill the rise of Turkish nationalism.

Because their ancestors are Ogzhuz Turks. (Of the Osman sultans).
