I don't think i have seen a kurdish blonde, it's normal for kids to have blonde to light hair as kids. There are ginger kurds though.

this surprises me considering most weddings I have seen from Mahabad or other East Kurdish cities I have seen a significant number of blond and redheads. And considering that my mother is blond it would make no sense if I claimed there arent blond ones. Probably 10-20% (depending on the Region) of Kurds have lighter hair which is not only blond but includes other shades too (Blond, Red, Brown shades) the rest are Dark brown/Black.

My honest opinion? Blond hair/light eyes on woman has always attracted man because it makes the features appear softer. On males Brown or Black hair appears more masculine, yet light eyes are exception and look always good. On man if you have light hair, you have to have more masculine or sharper features because soft facial features + blond hair appears more feminine.

I'm not saying blonde hair looks better. I'm just asking how many % of us are because I'm curious  . My mother told me that some of our relatives are blonde so they weren't suprised that I was blonde as a child. My grandmother from my fathers side were also blonde when she was a child. It's funny how it can change so fast.

This video shows where there are blonde people in western asia and middle east, 4:07

Thats because he is not a Fayli, Faylis there is atleast 10% blondes I'd say, including my own family members. I have quite a few cousins who are dark blonde. Though I have more family with blue eyes. But remember blondness amongst Kurds isn't solely based on the Aryan invasions, it can be also be from native caucasian influence.

I wasn't say not only Faylis, but considering Sorani Eastern Kurds probably had more native caucasian input then the Faylis in South-east who are located in Media Proper and Parthia Exterior. Though North Kurds had Scythian influence.

I have watched the video, just saying some things might be right but a big portion is full of nonsense.

I ocne explained pretty well ( I think) How blond hair evolved. Its connected to farmind/pastoralist lifestyle and the lack of Vitamin D due that. Blond hair was recorded in the Middle East even as far back as 5000 b. c. The Sumerians and Assyrians described the Gutians and Urartians as light featured. The Gutians were even described as golden haired.

This map should you give an idea.

and thats another point. Now imagine these woman to have darker features. If I imagine my mother black haired she would look like a masculine woman. :-D

Yet thats not true blond haired woman can have more masculine as well feminine facial features and the light hair gives even the masculine one some kind of more femininity compared to the darker haired masculine featured woman.

Of course dark haired woman with soft features will also look more feminine than masculine featured blond girls, yet what I am simply saying is that blond hair gives an extra advantage. Light is simply linked to feminine in our awareness while dark always stays for more masculine. This is in our instincts.

Where did you get the map from Kurdistano and when did Assyrians descrbie Uratarians as light? The Assyrians only described Gutians as having light haired people, not all.
