1980s Kurdish map: Long Live Kurdistan's Independence

According to the University of Exeter archives, this map was prepared by the Swiss Kurdistan Association (ASK) in the 1980s.
On this map, Kurdistan is symbolized by the sun, and the threats posed by occupying powers are depicted by tanks and soldiers.
It also features the phrase ❝Long Live Kurdistan's Independence❞ in four languages.
I wonder where ❝independence❞ is in the Kurdish vocabulary and agenda 50 years later?
