How old is South Kurdistan?

Ahmed's topic got me thinking about just how old is South Kurdistan? I've heard and read different info regarding this. I think Kurds settled around South Mesopotamia in 875 and that Türkmen truly settled around the time of the Selçuk era when Tuğrul and his army entered in 1055...
I do know it's Kurdish land and not Türkmen land okey. :D

I believe the earliest settlements of Kurds in what is known now as Iraq was in 612 BC when the Median and Babilonian conqured and divided the Assyrian Empire .The land south of Ninava was taken by babilonian and from Ninava going north was taken by the median . The median empire lasted around 60 years and was later destroyed by Achaemenid Empire or Persian Empire .

Thanks, I've read about your Median ancestors settling in 612 BC, but also that the first mention of Kurds in history was around 3,000 BC, under name of Gutium (Kurti), when they fought the Sumerians... Later around 800 BC, the Median tribes settled in the Zagros mountains and coalesced with the Gutiums... I'm somewhat confused, as I think Kurds maybe settled as far back as about 3,000 BC.

I really want t know what kind of crack you are on , because I definitly want some . :D

We are not saying that tukman are sub-human or they are any less than any othere nation , So do not take a defensive stand , because no one is attacking you . Any nationalists with half a brain can write some artical therorizing such and such for the main purpose of propaganda to expand their national identity or creat a sense of belonging. That however does not make it a fact . There is similarities between the pyramids in Egypt and suoth America , Does that mean they were build by the same people ????

The most interesting part about what you wrote was "The turks being the pre-sumerian in mesopotamia" , Therorising that is not only rediculous , it is also mind numming . You could be right though , but only in a parallel world .

It is just an expression used when someone makes no sense , It does not mean that I think you are on drugs .

You have Stockholm syndrome my dear Nuray , it is a psychological condition mostly can be found in people whom have been kidnaped or abused for a long period of time . People with your condition shows signs of loyalty to the abuser regardless of of any logic .

Your symptoms are classic and easily recognized even for a blind/deaf person . I will explain it to you .

1-You identify with the aggresser : which is an unconscious process in which a person adopts the perspective or behavior patterns of a or abuser. You act , Behieve , identify , agree , disagree ...etc 100% with turks with Zero room for any doubt .

2-Regression : Most of what you write is child like writing , Just flat deniel , Yes , No , etc .

3-You have negative feeling about any authority that undermind the authority of the abuser .

4-You have a positive feelings toward Your abuser .

5-The abuser (turks)develop positive feelings toward the abused(tukified ) . As you mentioned most turks like you .

I hope you would read more .

kak talsor - what can i say... i am proud of you, however it sounds. my big and special respect for you.
nuray - tell me, if you can, why you are against us? why you think the big nation, of about - at least - 40 milion population - has no right for the independent country? cause it means that the occupiers will loose the richest regions? do you know why in 1923 england broke all promises from sevres (1920)? maybe we will have independent country if there wasnt any oli in kerkuk. if kurdistan was poor region of the world - maybe would be independent now. but we are rich. but you know what? the richest things that we have is in our hearts - that nobody can occupied.
