Erbil airport reports one case of US-bound travel ban

PostAuthor: Piling » Sun Jan 29, 2017 1:34 pm

ERBIL, Kurdistan Region—In the wake of the US travel ban on people from several Middle Eastern and Muslim countries, authorities at the Erbil international airport report that so far there has been one case of stopping a traveler from boarding a plane while advising people to consult with the US consulate for details on their personal circumstances.

Head of the Erbil International Airport, Talar Faiq told Rudaw that clear instructions have been provided to airlines on the new US rules on travel by citizens of several countries, including Iraq and people from those countries who have dual citizenship.

Faiq said that most people who have bought tickets bound for the US could possibly be reimbursed by their travel agents.

Faiq explained that the US Consulate General in Erbil has not sent any instructions to the airport staff, only to the airlines flying in and out of the Erbil airport.

On Saturday there was one case of barring an individual from boarding a plane with the United States being the destination, she said.

In order to avoid complications, Faiq advised all intent on traveling to the US on tourist visas or Green Card holders to refer to details of the US travel ban or consult with the American consulate in Erbil before making travel arrangements.

US President Donald Trump signed an executive order which bans citizens of Iraq, Iran, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Libya and Yemen from traveling to the US for 90 days.

The ban has been criticized by many across the world especially civil rights activists in the United States.

I imagine how American people in Kurdistan should feel bad and ashamed with Kurds… I hope I will never feel the same shame as a French and UE citizen, when I think about the next elections in April/May.

With the increase of Sharia Law in UK and Islamic Fundamentalists taking control of many UK Mosques, the LARGE silent majority of UK MUSLIMS would agree with Trump and ban further Muslims from entering the UK

Due to the much hated POLITICAL CORRECTNESS people in the UK are afraid to speak out X(

Muslims are often far too FRIGHTENED of radical Muslims to say or do anything :-s

The liberal Muslims who came here because they liked the British way of life and the freedoms it afforded them, now life in fear of Radical Islam X(

Muslim families, who have been in the UK for years and have daughters who were born here, are now being told by their mosques they have to change and exert greater control over their wives/daughters

Many mosques are now telling men that they must treat their wives and daughters much stricter. Use physical force to discipline disobedient female family members. Make their wives/daughters cover themselves up. Restrict their wives/daughters movements outside the home. Stop girls seeking further education and marry them off young. Stop wives learning English

The above moves have NOT been popular especially with the wives/daughters who have been born here X(

If you born in Iraq, Syria, Iran and some other countries, whoever you are, Muslim or not, pro or anti ISIS-Sharia, etc., you are ban from USA.

They have even blocked a Yezidi refugee, and some Syriac Christians. Born in the bad place, guilty for ever. A new idea of the original sin.

But if you are a fanatic Saudi sheikh, no problem, you're welcome in Trumps' America.
