I have also watched it in 95-96 when it came in France. 3 years ago I enjoyed Twin peaks and then it stopped so I was glad to have one other good series.

X-Files reached its apex around seasons 3-5, which was in 1995 to 1998 right before the first X-Files movie (a good film). Everything else after this is kind of.. (-|

I think that sometimes the best films are the ones that you "stumble upon" by accident - recently I saw a movie called "Everybody´s fine" with Robert De Niro. It´s about a retired man who travels around USA to visit his grown up children:

I recommend it!

Have a nice weekend,

I agree! Peter O´Toole, Alec Guinness, Omar Sharif, Anthony Quinn... They don´t make that kind of actors anymore!

Today's actors rely more on special affects than any real ability to act

They also lack personality :(

However, Norway and Sweden have some really excellent actors :ymhug:

The last gem I watched is Le huitième jour, a discover I owe to my 7B class (they are choosing on Internet French comedies for our weekly cinema seance).

Currently they are enjoying Un indien dans la ville, which is a cute movie.

Concerning my own pleasure I have finished with X FIles (the last were afwul) and I am starting the 2nd season of Downton Abbey.

The last season is terrible. Gillian Anderson has lost all her personality, she could be any of American actress who became blonde and lost too much weigh and was too lifted. David Duchovny is a better funny Mulder.
