Brent stabbing: Man fighting for life after being knifed repeatedly near Willesden Magistrates’ Court

A young man is fighting for life after being stabbed repeatedly in broad daylight near a north-west London court

Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident near Willesden Magistrates’ Court, in Brent, shortly before 3.30pm on Tuesday.

The victim, believed to be in his early 20s, was found at the scene with multiple stab wounds.

No arrests have been made, police said.

A Met Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to Chapel Close at the junction with Chancery Crescent.

“The victim has been taken to a central London hospital in a critical condition.

“Next of kin have been informed. A crime scene is in place.”

Shepherd's Bush stabbing: Man fighting for life in hospital after knife attack in west London

A man in his 20s is fighting for his life in hospital after a daylight stabbing in west London

Police scrambled to Shepherd's Bush at around 3.30pm after receiving reports of a stabbing in Becklow Gardens.

A man in his 20s was found with a stab injury and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance at 3.32pm on Thursday, June 13 to reports of a man stabbed on Becklow Gardens, W12.

“Officers and London’s Air Ambulance attended. The man, who is believed to be aged 20, was taken to a central London hospital. He remains in a critical condition.”

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Man stabbed and robbed at home in Hackney

A man was stabbed by a gang who broke into his house to steal watches in a terrifying raid at a property in north-east London

The victim, 36, was attacked by the robbery gang on Wednesday night. Police said the men stole “a number of watches” from the property in Hackney before fleeing the scene.

Police are investigating after they were called to the residential address on Stamford Hill just before midnight.

Scotland Yard said in a statement: “Police were called at 23:35hrs on Wednesday, 12 June to a residential address

“A 36-year-old man reported being attacked by a group of men who entered his address and stabbed him before fleeing in a car.

“A number of watches were stolen.”

“The victim has been taken to hospital suffering from stab injuries to his leg.”

The victim's injuries have been declared “not life-threatening or life-changing”.

A crime scene is now in place.

No arrests have been made.

Plumstead and Wandsworth murders: 10 arrests after two teenagers killed within minutes in stabbing and shooting in south London

Ten people have been arrested after two teenagers were killed in separate attacks in south London within minutes of each other

The first was stabbed on Deeside Road, Wandsworth, at 4.42pm on Friday. He died a short time later.

The second teen was shot dead in a car park in Plumstead shortly before 5pm.

Scotland Yard said three men and a woman were arrested following the shooting, while six men have been arrested over the stabbing.

All 10 were arrested on suspicion of murder and taken to police stations for questioning.

Officers are working to formally identify the two victims.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said he was "sickened to hear that two young lives have been ended within minutes of each other".

“Our overstretched police are working around the clock to keep Londoners safe. They need our support to end this scourge of violence," he added.

Emergency services, including armed police and an air ambulance, were called to a car park in Hartville Road, Plumstead, at 4.54pm this afternoon.

A man, believed to be in his late teens, was found with critical injuries, police said.

He died at the scene soon after he was found.

Photos and video footage posted on social media show an air ambulance land near the scene.

Minutes earlier a young man was stabbed in Wandsworth, south-west London.

The man, also believed to be in his late teens, died at the scene in Deeside Road on Friday evening.

A Met Police spokesman said officers were working to notify both victims' next of kin.

Scotland Yard warned local residents in Wandsworth and Plumstead that they will see a heavy police presence following the attacks.

Two London teens die in spate of violence

Police made 14 arrests after four separate London attacks left two teenagers dead and three men injured in the space of 12 hours.

An 18-year-old man was stabbed to death at about 16:42 BST on Friday in Wandsworth, south London.

Police were called minutes later, at 16:54, to Plumstead, south-east London, where a 19-year-old man was shot dead.

In the early hours of Saturday two men were stabbed in Clapham and another was stabbed in Brixton.

The condition of two of the men is not yet known, while the third has injuries not deemed to be life-threatening or changing.

London mayor Sadiq Khan said he was "sickened" following the death of the two teenagers.

Six males - aged between 16 and 19 - have been arrested on suspicion of murder of the teenager in Wandsworth, who died from stab wounds in Deeside Road.

Tooting MP Rosena Allin-Khan said the killing was "heartbreaking" and "absolutely tragic".

After the shooting in a car park on Hartville Road in Plumstead, three boys aged between 16 and 17 and a 17-year-old girl were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Armed police, local officers, the London Ambulance Service and an air ambulance all attended, but the teenage victim died a short while later.

A section 60 order has been authorised in the Greenwich and Bexley areas.

Police were then called to a fight on Bedford Road near Clapham North Tube station in south-west London at 03:22, where two men suffered slash and stab wounds.

Four men have been arrested - two for violent disorder, one for carrying a bladed instrument and the other for possession of a Taser.

At 04:00 police were called by the ambulance service after an altercation at a pub in Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, south London, where two men were injured.

One was stabbed and remains in hospital while the other received minor injuries.

The two deaths take the total number of murders in London in 2019 to 55.

Last year there were 132 homicides - the highest level for a decade.

Though it does not mention the ethnicity of those involved, as the incidences took place in mostly black areas, one can assume those involved to be either all black or mixed race

I have no idea what the solution is but other than fatal or extremely severe injuries, those involved will NOT complain to the police or seek medical attention, nor will anyone come forward after witnessing such attacks

Perhaps a section 60 order should be enforced everywhere black people live

Tulse Hill shooting: Boy, 17, fighting for life after being gunned down as London crimewave continues

A teenage boy is fighting for life after being shot in a south London estate as the capital’s violent crimewave continues.

The boy, 17, was shot in the Tulse Hill Estate just after 9.30pm on Sunday.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and remained in a critical condition on Monday afternoon.

No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate at the scene.

It comes as a 28-year-old man was also shot in Leytonstone, east London, in broad daylight on Monday.

Officers were called to Birch Grove just after 11.30am and found the injured male.

He was taken to hospital, where his condition was assessed as non-life threatening and non-life changing.

Again, no arrests have been made as the Met stepped up reassurance patrols in the area.

Four people have died in suspected murders in the past four days in London.

The spate of violent crime also saw police attacked by 100 youths outside Westfield in Stratford on Saturday.

Scotland Yard offers £20k for information about Hackney killing

Detectives investigating the murder of Alex Vanderpuye offered a £20,000 reward today for information over his death

Mr Vanderpuye, inset, died from stab wounds after being attacked in Christie Road, Hackney, on December 7, 2017.

Police believe the 24-year-old’s killers arrived in a metallic green Mercedes, which has since been recovered.

Detective Chief Inspector John Marriott said: “Despite the passage of time, there are still members of the public who have information that is vital to our investigation.

“I hope that now that some considerable time has elapsed, someone may feel they can now come forward and assist the investigation.

“It is my hope that the reward will encourage anyone who can help to come forward. Some of Alex’s friends were with him at the time and we are also directly appealing to them to come forward as we believe they have vital information.”

In December 2017, officers arrested three men aged 21, 25 and 26 on suspicion of murder.

They were all released under investigation. Five further men who were arrested have also been released.

Tube passenger robbed and repeatedly punched at Waterloo station

Police have launched a manhunt after a passenger was followed onto the Tube before being robbed and repeatedly punched at London’s Waterloo station

The male victim reported two men staring at him on a London Overground service.

He was followed when he got off at Canada Water station and joined a westbound Jubilee line service. The men stood directly behind him on the Tube train.

At Waterloo station – the busiest in the UK – one of the victim’s Apple wireless headphones was ripped off his head on the escalators by the same two men.

The victim followed the two suspects, challenging them, but was repeatedly punched by one of the men in Mepham Street.

The two suspects then ran off towards Waterloo Bridge and the IMAX.

British Transport Police detectives have released CCTV images of the suspects. The incident happened at about 6.15pm on March 24.

DC Vanessa Cadrecha-Paolucci said: “This was a frightening incident for the victim who refused to let two men take his items, however this sadly resulted in him being punched a number of times.

“We simply will not tolerate this on the Tube network and are today looking to identify the men in this CCTV image.

“I believe they hold vital information so would urge anyone with information on who they are to get in touch.”

Two youths armed with SWORDS chase a moped rider through London

Stunned onlookers filmed a youth brandishing a huge blade outside a primary school as he furiously chased the driver, coming within inches of him to scream 'p****hole'

The incident outside Kingswood Primary School in West Norwood, South London, comes after the capital yesterday saw its 61st murder investigation of 2019 launched.

Mobile phone footage began circulating this morning, two days after London suffered its fifth killing in six days.

The video begins with a male sprinting after the moped rider with the huge knife.

The filming females scream in horror as the passenger shouts to the driver: 'Drive away! No! No! No! Do you want to die! Look at the big knife! Oh my god! The big chopper that the man.. the little boy's got you know! Nooo!'

She tells the driver to follow the young man and they drive towards a roundabout. The passenger then shouts: 'This guy's got a deathwish bruv! Do you see the big f***ing knife in his hand!'

The car catches up with the moped rider who astonishingly has stopped his vehicle to make gestures at the teen with the knife.

The bewildered passenger yells at the motorcyclist to ride away from the knife-brandishing thug: 'Are you all right? Drive! Drive off! No seriously drive! Who wants to get stabbed up?'

Suddenly the motorcyclist starts driving as the teenager manages to catch up with his huge weapon still in hand.

The women in the car then laugh in unison and yell: 'He's taking the p*ss! Look at the knife!'

In another clip which is filmed later on a nearby road, the women have parked their car and found the moped driver - who has stopped his vehicle and is now filming the thug chasing after him on a mobile phone.

The females suggest that the motorcyclist also has a weapon and admonish him: 'Exactly! You lot both have weapons!'

The teen is seen catching up to the moped with his gigantic knife still in his hand and the motorcyclist begins driving off.

The teen - who has arrived with a friend to confront the motorcyclist - screams: 'F*** off p****hole! F*** off p****hole!'

As the thugs continue chasing after him, the woman says in despair to the camera: 'These kids!'. The video then cuts to an end.

It is unknown who filmed the video and how the fight started between the motorcyclist and the young man. However the clash appears to be between rival gang members.

Social media users have been left appalled by the video. @itz.shenn wrote 'Hate this world' and @its-black-or-white commented 'F***ing animals'.

Other individuals couldn't believe the motorcylist's nonchalant attitude to the knife-wielding teen and the fact that he stopped to take photos of them. @young.hamza wrote in shock: 'Man started snapping them then whizzed off.'

It comes after a 38-year-old man was stabbed to death in Barnet, north London, at 10.50pm on Tuesday in a triple knifing that left two others injured.

That follows a man in his 40s being fatally stabbed in Stratford, east London, in the early hours of Monday.

There were three homicides in the space of 24 hours, including two teenagers who were fatally attacked at teatime on Friday.

Cheyon Evans, 18, was found stabbed on Deeside Road in Wandsworth, south-west London, at 4.42pm, and died at the scene.

In the second killing, Eniola Aluko, 19, from Thamesmead, south-east London, was shot dead in Hartville Road, Plumstead, shortly before 5pm.

On Saturday, a man in his 30s was stabbed to death in a field next to a nursery and a mosque in Alton Street, in Tower Hamlets, east London, just before 2pm.

As well as the violent deaths, another victim, 45, was left in a critical condition when he was stabbed in Enfield at about 3.30pm on Saturday.

A 17-year-old boy was also left fighting for his life after he was shot on the Tulse Hill Estate, south west London, at around 9.40pm on Sunday. It came hours after a 15-year-old was stabbed in the face in Tufnell Park.

Another man, aged 28, was also shot shortly after 11.30am on Monday in Leytonstone, east London, but his injuries were non-life threatening or changing.

Mother loses three of her sons in London murders

The latest victim of London’s violence epidemic is the third brother from the same family to be murdered, it was revealed today

David Bello-Monerville, 38, was stabbed to death when two groups attacked each other with blades, chains and broom handles during a street battle close to his family home in Barnet.

His mother Linda Burke-Monerville rushed to the scene sobbing and shouting: “Not another son!”, according to neighbours.

Six years ago, David was in a car with his 19-year-old twin brothers Joseph and Jonathan Burke-Monerville when a gunman fired three times.

Joseph was shot in the head and died in hospital in what police believe was a case of mistaken identity.

In 1994, a third brother Trevor Monerville, 26, died after being repeatedly stabbed in a Hackney street by five men.

None of the brothers’ killers have so far been brought to justice and there have been no arrests for the latest murder.

Reverend Shaun Saunders, from the Brookside Methodist Church in East Barnet, said: “A mother having one child murdered is terrible but three is beyond comprehension.

“The church will be offering support to the family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. The violence on our streets needs addressing.”

Trevor Monerville was stabbed to death in 1994

David, who has two sons aged seven and nine, was stabbed to death on Tuesday - the fifth person murdered in London in six days.

Relatives gathered at the Monerville family home 350 yards away from the scene in Welbeck Road.

One said David’s parents Linda and John were “beyond devastated” at the murder of the third of their seven children.

David’s father John Burke-Monerville told the Standard: “I am sorry we are grieving, we cannot speak at the moment.”

A family member said: “We just need justice, we’ve already been through enough. We’re all still in shock.”

Mike O’Doherty, whose son was close friends with David, said: “He had been in my home a number of times. He was a good, straight up guy and loyal friend to my son.

“He was a smashing guy, a family man and hard worker. We knew about his brothers dying, it’s a tragedy. His poor mother and father having to go through this, it’s terrible.”

Witnesses told how blood was left spattered on parked cars after the street fight raged.

Two other men, 25 and 34, were also taken to hospital after the clash and were treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.

In February 2013, David and twins Joseph, and Jonathan stopped at a newsagent in Hindrey Road, Lower Clapton.

Two masked men came up to the parked car and asked them if they were from the Pembury Estate, Pembury Road.

When the brothers said no, the gunman’s accomplice is alleged to have said “waste them anyway”, before the killer opened fire.

The gunman fired through the passenger window and a bullet hit Joseph’s head.

A second bullet struck David in the arm and a third grazed Jonathan’s arm. The shooter and his accomplice ran off.

Charges against three men accused of the murder were dropped days before a trial was due to begin in 2015.

The prosecution offered no evidence and said there was no realistic prospect of conviction after it emerged the case against the three men relied on the evidence of a single gang member.

In 2017, Linda Burke-Monerville, appealed for the parents of Joseph’s killers to help bring them to justice.

She said: “I’m appealing to these mothers to help us get justice. None of my children were ever involved with gangs – we brought them up in the church and they have Christian values about right and wrong.”

Twins Joseph and Jonathan had returned to Britain just six months before the murder to start a degree in forensic science at London Metropolitan University.

They had gone to Nigeria to study because of their parents’ fears over youth violence in north London.

Joseph and Jonathan were the youngest of seven children – Joseph was the last born.

Trevor Monerville was 26 when he was stabbed to death in Trumans Road, Stoke Newington on 19 March 1994.

He was found on the pavement by a passer-by.

“Trevor was a very nice boy, very loving,” his father Mr Burke-Monerville said in 2017. “He was loved by all his family.”

Investigations into David’s murder were continuing today.

Superintendent Tim Alexander said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this very difficult time. This is such a tragic loss of life and we urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We are conducting high visibility patrols and would encourage those from the local community to speak with officers about concerns they have or anything that they saw that could be of assistance.”

The spate of killings in London saw four people stabbed and another shot dead in the space of six days.

The victims include two teenagers attacked within minutes last Friday - Cheyon Evans, 18, who was knifed to death in Wandsworth, and Eniola Aluko, 19, found shot in Plumstead.

Three men arrested on suspicion of
murder after 25-year-old shot dead

Edward Simpson died following a shooting in a children’s park near a block of flats in Feltham

One man, age 27, was arrested on Monday while two others, 26 and 22, were arrested on Tuesday.

They have all been taken into custody and will be questioned, while enquiries into the incident continue.

Police were called to Exeter House on Watermill Way late on June 21, where Mr Simpson was found critically wounded.

He died at the scene a short time later, despite the efforts of emergency services.

A post-mortem examination determined his death as being caused by a single gunshot wound to the upper body.

A statement from Scotland Yard said: “Detectives would like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time of the murder or who may have heard the shooting. The scene is surrounded by homes and officers believe that someone will have information which could prove vital to the investigation.”

The Met said that while the body has not been formally identified, they are confident it is that of Mr Simpson, who lived in Feltham.

The 24-year-old was rushed to hospital by paramedics after he was knifed in Willesden shortly after 1.30pm on Tuesday.

He remains there in a critical condition.

“Officers attended. A male was found suffering from multiple stab injuries.

Murder investigation launched after
teen knifed to death in London

Police have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed to death in Shepherd’s Bush

Detectives were called to Uxbridge Road just before 9.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a stabbing.

A man believed to be in his late teens died at the scene.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and London Air Ambulance attended and found the man suffering from a stab injury. He died a short time later.

A large crime scene remains in place.

Officers said a post-mortem examination will be held and they are still awaiting formal identification.

Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command will lead the investigation with police in Hammersmith and Fulham.

Detective Inspector Luke Wyllie from Hammersmith and Fulham said: “A young man’s life has been tragically cut short. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this very difficult time. We are doing everything we can to apprehend those involved.

“Extra police and specialist units are working on the ground now to build a clearer picture of what took place and work to protect and reassure those in the local community.

A Section 60 has been authorised in the Shepherds Bush and Notting Hill areas until the afternoon of Thursday, 27 June.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed what took place or anyone with information about those responsible to contact police immediately.”
