UK Barking shooting

Man fighting for life after being shot in broad daylight in east London

A man is fighting for his life after he was shot in broad daylight in east London.

Police were called to Wilmington Gardens, Barking, at 2.15pm on Thursday following reports a gun had been fired.

Armed officers descended on the scene and found two men, aged in their 20s, had suffered injuries.

Both were rushed to hospital. One is in a "critical condition" after he suffered gunshot wounds, police said.

The other has different injuries but his condition is not thought to be life-threatening. Police have not confirmed what injuries he suffered.

A Met Police spokesman added: "At this very early stage there have been no arrests.

"An extensive crime scene is in place as officers work to fully establish what happened."

Hackney shooting:

Murder arrest after man in 20s gunned down in back garden

A 22-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a young man was gunned down in the back garden of a home in Hackney.

Police and paramedics scrambled to Brackenfield Close at around 11.30pm on Friday to reports of shots fired.

A man in his 20s was found suffering gunshot injuries "outside an address he had just left," police said.

Emergency services put police tape around the area and a white tent was erected in the garden of the property.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and formal identification awaits.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at an east London police station.

The shooting is being investigated by Homicide detectives from the Specialist Crime Command.

Detective Chief Inspector Paul Considine said: “Following initial enquiries we know that there were people in Brackenfield Close at the time of the shooting.

"I would urge those people, and anyone else who has information that could progress this investigation to get in contact immediately.

“This is a tragic incident that has resulted in the loss of a young man’s life and has left his family and friends devastated. If you can help us find those responsible, then please get in contact.”

Many years ago I had the GREAT PRIVILEGE of becoming friends with and working with Renee Webb - a fantastic Jamaican gentleman who set up assorted charities including:

Advise, the first 24 multi-cultural advice service in the UK

Melting Pot originally started with another Jamaican - Ashton Gibston - to encourage people of all different cultures to work together and share their crafts and to promote and share different cultures

Melting Pot evolved into the Melting Pot Foundation and ran housing projects

I also had the GREAT PRIVILEGE of becoming friends with and working with Jag Kharabanda - a well known Ghandi follower who attended world peace conferences and did his best to promote community activities including:

One World Week in Croydon (which lasted for 2 weeks)

One World Week was supported by all local MPs, police and local organisations, many of which gave their premises freely for assorted functions including:

A mini United Nations; festivals representing cultures worldwide; multi-cultural functions in almost all Croydon schools; churches; community centres and restaurants with representatives from almost every country in the world from Japan to Scottish Sword Dancers
Croydon English Language Scheme set up to teach newcomers to the UK our language and culture

Multi Faith Meetings to share each others religious beliefs

These 2 people were LOVE PERSONIFIED their tireless dedication to helping others, of promoting the sharing and understanding of different cultures had a huge influence on me

Through these 2 wonderful people I met and worked with almost every culture and nationality living in England :x

I have worked with and made friends with a great many people from MPs (both English and Kurdish) to pimps and prostitutes - at one stage in my life I rescued prostitutes

I am privileged to count among my friends, an Italian lady, Kurdish freedom fighters, and Rastafarians, my favourite music is Bach and Bhangra and especially Farid Farjad (famous Iranian violinist)

Do I support Black Lives Matter

NO

I do NOT support anything that sets different cultures/ethnic groups apart

I do NOT support the term Black and Ethnic Minorities
To me ALL lives matter

At this moment in time, I have no interest in American police other than to state: Floyd and anyone else - whatever their colour - should be able to turn to the police for help, not risk being killed by them

In my valued judgement, anyone in both the UK and US found carrying a weapon should mediately be imprisoned - to save lives we have to get weapons off the streets

My main concern is black children killing other black children and terrorizing entire housing estates and neighbourhoods

I feel to mention DRUGS

The campaign to legalise marijuana is having an adverse effect. Dealers are obviously well aware of the campaign and therefore well aware of the posibility their livelihoods will diminish

As with all businessmen under threat from of loss of income, they are diversifying

The once small time weed seller is now selling CLASS A drugs

Passersby take selfies as
police wrestles with suspect

Shocking footage appears to show a police officer being punched in the head as he wrestles a suspect to the ground in East London this afternoon

Image

Passersby could be seen posing for selfies as two officers were allegedly assaulted while trying to speak to a suspect in Hackney.

As a crowd gathered around one of the officers, a second man could be seen arriving with a baseball bat. Footage appeared to show one officer being punched in the head, while another officer was kicked by a group as she came to her colleague's aid.

Home Secretary Priti Patel has condemned the attack, describing it as: 'Sickening, shocking & disgraceful. My thoughts are with the outstanding officers who were subject to this disgusting violent attack.'

Hackney's own borough commander, Marcus Barnett, said: 'This is truly despicable & society should never accept such behaviour - we are here to protect you! The officers are safe, but clearly shaken & incredibly brave too. Arrests will be made... this must stop.'

Two men are in custody at an East London police station tonight following the incident, with both officers suffering minor injuries. Neither required hospital treatment.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said: 'I utterly condemn the disgraceful attack on two Metropolitan Police officers this afternoon.

'These brave officers were doing their duty and assisting the public. We owe them a debt of gratitude and I wish them a full and speedy recovery.

'Attacks on our police will not be tolerated. I urge anyone with information to come forward to ensure the perpetrators of this disgusting attack feel the full force of the law.'

Priti Patel condemned Wednesday's attack as 'Sickening, shocking & disgraceful'. The Home Secretary's response came just hours after she visited police horses deployed during London's Black Lives Matter protests

Two officers were responding to an assault just after 3.30pm today after they were flagged down by a member of the public. According to Met Police, the victim pointed out their attacker and officers went to speak to those involved.

A Met Police spokesman said: 'As an officer attempted to speak with those involved, one of the men resisted and a struggle ensued. A number of other people became involved whilst the officer was on the ground.'

While police were battling on the streets, there were other concerns raised today:

A leading scientist on the Sage panel warned job losses and racial inequality concerns could lead to riots

Police attended the home of a museum curator who told her Twitter followers how to destroy bronze statue

Black Lives Matter protesters Bristol's Edward Colston statue are 'likely to escape prosecution'

BLM supporters have drawn up a list 60 'racist statues' across the UK they want to see pulled down
One man charged toward the altercation in Hackney, East London, carrying a baseball bat. Moments later the officer was punched in the back of the head

As the officer gets to his knees, one of the crowd appears to place him in a headlock, while a second officer at the scene tries to intervene

SAGE ADVISOR WARNS RIOTS COULD BREAK OUT IN THE UK

Riots could break out across the UK this summer as the effects of the coronavirus pandemic take hold, a scientific adviser to the government has warned.

Professor Clifford Stott said there is a risk of disorder on a scale last seen during the London riots in August 2011

Professor Clifford Stott — a member of Number 10's SAGE panel — said that urgent efforts are needed by police forces to quell any potential unrest in the local areas they serve and called for more 'bobbies on the beat'.

He claimed mass job losses and rising unemployment due to the effects of Covid-19, coupled with concerns about racial and economic inequality, could all contribute to rioting.

The social psychologist, based at Keele University, warned a possible divide between poorer and more affluent areas brought on by local lockdowns, if brought into force, could also have an effect.

He told PA: 'If the police don't invest in building positive police-community relations now, there is a potential for serious and large public disorder to emerge this summer.

'I think in the worst case scenario it's not inconceivable that we could have disorder on a scale equivalent to August 2011.

'What we need to do is to make sure we start addressing the underlying causes now, so the conditions that led to the 2011 riots are not in place should we get a precipitating incident.

'Put simply, the most effective thing that the police can do is put bobbies on the beat.'

Chief Supt Roy Smith tweeted this evening: 'I can confirm colleagues are aware of this horrific attack on our officers simply doing their job to protect Londoners.'

Both officers suffered minor injuries but did not require hospital treatment. Two men, aged 20 and 38, were arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

Both men remain in custody at an East London police station.

Superintendent Martin Rolston, from the Central East Command Unit, said: 'This incident, which was captured on someone's mobile phone is truly shocking.

'My officers went to the assistance of a member of the public – who asked for their help – after stating that they had been assaulted. What happened next is a reminder of the risks our officers take whilst going about their duties.

'It is fortunate that their injuries are not more serious. There is no place for this level of violence on our streets.

'We are engaging with our community partners to discuss what happened and I hope that anyone who witnessed what happened comes forward and speaks with us.'

The Metropolitan Police Federation, which represents rank-and-file officers, said attacks on officers seem to be increasing, adding: 'Yet again this starkly shows the dangers @metpoliceuk face and the bravery they show each and every day keeping Londoners safe.'

Chairman Ken Marsh said: 'We are not society's punchbags. We have families we want to go home to at the end of every shift. But the dangers are stark. And seemingly escalating.'

John Apter, chairman of the Police Federation, said: 'Horrific, stomach churning scenes.

'Disgusting behaviour from those who attack the officers, those who film what's going on and those who do nothing. They are cowards, the lot of them.'

Shaun Bailey, the Conservative candidate for next year's London Mayoral elections, tweeted this evening: 'This is appalling. Police officers attacked in Hackney today. This is what happens when you try to appease the mob. You lose control of the streets.

Mayor of Hackney Phillip Glanville told followers: 'Anyone seeing these videos tonight will be as shocked & horrified as I am by this attack on two Hackney police officers. My thoughts are with both officers & praise their bravery when faced with this situation. Our police are here to protect us & scenes like this are unacceptable.'

Arrests after horrific attack

Four people, including a 13-year-old boy, have now been arrested after two police officers were attacked in Hackney East London

Home Secretary Priti Patel is among those to condemn the incident in Hackney, which saw two Scotland Yard officers set upon after they stopped to help an apparent assault victim.

Footage shared online shows a male officer being kicked as he is pinned to the ground, while his female colleague is pushed when she tries to intervene.

Several men, including one with a baseball bat, surround them swearing, shouting and filming on their phones, with one even dancing around and taking a selfie during the assault.

Two men, aged 20 and 38, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker, following the incident which took place at around 3.30pm on Wednesday on Frampton Park Road.

On Thursday afternoon Hackney MPS confirmed a further two arrests: that of the 13-year-old boy, who was arrested later on Wednesday evening, and a 34-year-old man.

Detective Chief Superintendent Marcus Barnett said in a video update: “Two of my officers were horrifically attacked having tried to undertake a very lawful and necessary arrest on the street.

“They were subjected to violence which has been seen by thousands of people and is completely unacceptable.

“Fortunately both of the officers are well – cuts and bruises and are obviously shocked, as are all their colleagues and I.

“And I just want to say that we’ve done an amazing job - four arrests we’ve made and an investigation ongoing.

“Attacking police officers in London and anywhere else is completely unacceptable and can never be right in society’s eyes and it must stop.”

John Apter, the national chairman of the Police Federation, described the attack as “truly stomach churning”.

“It was horrific to watch because you didn’t know what was going to come next,” he told the BBC.

“In 2018/19, there were over 30,000 assaults on police officers across England and Wales alone. That’s 85 police officers a day, every single day, being assaulted.

“And many of them are videoed. It’s almost like a hobby for some now to video an attack on a police officer and put it on social media.

“Not to assist an investigation, but to mock my colleagues and to almost encourage violence against them.”

A police van drives past the scene of the attack on two Scotland Yard officers on Frampton Park Road (PA)

A witness, who gave his name as Mukir, 38, said the scene looked like a “mad street fight”.

“I was up the road a bit walking home when I saw these fellas surrounding a man on the floor, some of them were kicking and hitting him from what I could see. There was a woman shouting at them,” he said.

“I thought at the time that it was some kind of mad street fight, I didn’t know it was the police, so I didn’t really take any notice until I saw it later on Facebook.

“I’m not really surprised by it, I know some people think badly of the police in this area and since the whole Black Lives Matter movement it’s quite dangerous for them.”

Mr Apter said he raised the incident personally with the Home Secretary, who tweeted: “Sickening, shocking & disgraceful.”

“My thoughts are with the outstanding @metpoliceuk officers who were subject to this disgusting violent attack.”

Superintendent Martin Rolston said: “This incident, which was captured on someone’s mobile phone is truly shocking.

“My officers went to the assistance of a member of the public, who asked for their help, after stating that they had been assaulted.

“What happened next is a reminder of the risks our officers take whilst going about their duties.

“It is fortunate that their injuries are not more serious. There is no place for this level of violence on our streets.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said in his own public message: “I utterly condemn the disgraceful attack on two Metropolitan Police officers this afternoon.

“These brave officers were doing their duty and assisting the public.

“We owe them a debt of gratitude and I wish them a full and speedy recovery.

“Attacks on our police will not be tolerated.

“I urge anyone with information to come forward to ensure the perpetrators of this disgusting attack feel the full force of the law."

Ski mask rapist

A rapist wearing a ski mask who kidnapped a woman as she walked home from work and subjected her to a terrifying attack has been jailed for more than 15 years

Desmond Atumkeze, 23, grabbed the victim from behind as she took a shortcut through a basketball court, claiming to have a gun pressed to her back as he threatened to kill her.

He forced the woman to strip naked before raping her twice in a secluded part of Gallions Park, Thamesmead, then forced her to climb down into a partially-drained canal to wash for ten minutes, Woolwich crown court heard.

After the attack, Atumkeze forced the terrified woman to deleted the contents of her phone, and told her “I’m local, I know your face, I know where you live” as he demanded that she did not go to police.

When caught, Atumkeze told a string of lies to attempt to distance himself from the rapes including falsely claiming to be blind.

Jailing him for 15 years and two months, Judge Keith Raynor said Atumkeze had been “lying in wait” on the route the woman regularly used to walk home and believed was safe.

“It was not safe. You were waiting to rape a suitable victim”, he said.

“You chose her and ended up subjecting her to a horrifying ordeal. You raped her repeatedly, you brutalised her.”

The court heard the woman heard footsteps behind her before being grabbed at around 8.45pm on November 8 last year, and frog-marched to a secluded patch of concrete next to the canal.

Atumkeze, wearing a ski mask to hide his face, asked the woman if she had a boyfriend and was a virgin as he was raping her and told her to call him ‘daddy’.

The woman was then forced to wash herself in the canal water, and hurt her legs as she clambered out again, the court heard.

Atumkeze, who moved with his family to the UK from Cameroon when he was nine, was arrested two days later and claimed to be a virgin and blind, maintaining his lies for several months before eventually pleading guilty.

He was linked to the rapes by DNA, and detectives discovered he had researched “rape kits” on the CPS website the day after the attack.

In a victim impact statement, the woman said she now suffers from panic attacks and flashbacks, she avoids being out alone at night, and worries her dream of getting married and starting a family has been shattered.

“I became terrified of going out alone. I would not go out at night on my own and still to this day will avoid being alone at night outside”, she said.

“l couldn't sleep. I would hear the slightest noise and be awake. I have become afraid of the night.”

She added: “I've lost my independence and self-reliance. I'm not like I was before and am now more reliant on others.”

Daniel Geller, from the CPS, said: “This was a horrific attack on a lone female who was simply returning home from work. The victim was in fear of her life and has since been left terrified to go out alone.

“Desmond Atumkeze had shown no remorse for his actions. In fact, during police interview he claimed to be a virgin and said that he was blind, and so could not have been responsible for the rape. But faced with the DNA and phone evidence against him, Atumkeze eventually changed his mind and pleaded guilty.

“This conviction will ensure he is finally held responsible for his actions and will spend a long time in prison where he will no longer be a threat to women. I hope the victim will take some comfort from this.”

Atumkeze, from Thamesmead, admitted two counts of rape and a charge of kidnap. He must serve at least two thirds of the 15-years-and-two-months sentence, and will spend an extra three years on licence.

This is the first picture of a young man gunned down as he walked home from his local shop in west London.

Alexander Kareem, 20, from Shepherd's Bush, died after a gunman opened fire at 12.40am on Monday .

He was walking home along Askew Road after a trip to a convenience store.

A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest and abdomen.

Murder squad detectives have appealed for information about a white Range Rover found burned out near the crime scene.

No arrests have been made.

Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley said: “Alexander was just 20 years old when his life came to an end in such a tragic way.

“We are determined to bring those responsible for this unnecessary and terrifying violence to justice. We continue to appeal for witnesses who may have seen or heard what happened to come forward.

“The white Range Rover seen in the area and later found burned out is also a key part of the investigation.

“We send our heartfelt condolences to Alexander’s family at this time.”

Stoke Newington Stabbing:

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in broad daylight on Stoke Newington High Street

Witnesses at the scene say members of the public held the suspect to the ground before he was arrested by Met Police.

The victim, a man in his 50s, remains in hospital. He is reportedly Jewish. The incident is not being treated as terror-related.

Hackney Police said in a statement: "At 10:54hrs on Friday, 12 June, police were called to reports of a male being restrained in Stoke Newington High Street, N16.

"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended. A man, aged in his fifties, was found suffering stab wounds."

Police added: "Another man, aged in his forties, had been restrained on the floor by members of the public. A man aged in his forties, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has been taken to hospital after suffering what is believed to be minor head injuries.

"The victim, aged in his fifties, has also been taken to hospital. We await further updates on his condition. We are not treating this as terror-related."

Construction site manager Lazar Friedlander and his brother Matt ran towards the alleged attacker and restrained him after hearing a “serious scream”.

He said: “We ran outside, I saw a Jewish man covered in blood. I’m Jewish myself, and I can see another Jewish man shouting ‘hold him, catch him, he’s got a knife! Stabbing!’

“There were a couple of other people trying to grab him. Me and my brother managed to force him down and put his hands behind his back until the police came.”

“I wouldn’t call myself a hero. You act in the heat of the moment,” added Mr Friedlander, who lives locally.

The suspect, a man in his forties said to be of Asian descent, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He was taken to hospital with minor head injuries.

Community Security Trust (CST), a British charity concerned with the security of Jewish people, has said that there is no current assessment on whether the attack was or was not anti-semitic.

Officers said the incident was not being treated as terror-related but some onlookers, including Mr Friedlander, believed he may have been targeted because of his religion.

“Why he stabbed the Jewish man? I reckon it was a hate crime,” Mr Friedlander said.

He added that he tried to speak to the assailant after pinning him down but “he just blanked me and wouldn’t say anything”.

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/s ... 67556.html

You will notice that the victim is Jewish and the perpetrator appears to be of Asian descent

Had the perpetrator been black, his colour/ethnicity would NOT have been mentioned

That fact is racist and does not help in finding witnesses or capturing perpetrators

PS:
Strongly suspect that if ever a perpetrator has bright ginger hair and freckles, the fact will be well reported

4 charged with attacking 2 police

Three of the four suspects charged with attacking two police officers in Hackney appear at court as boy, 13, admits hitting female Met officer and kicking her colleague

They were arrested after a video of the male and female officer being attacked was widely shared on social media.

The footage showed the male officer pinned to the ground and being kicked while his female colleague was pushed as she tried to intervene.

A fourth defendant, a boy aged 13, who was not pictured at court and cannot be named for legal reasons, claimed he attacked the officers out of fear after watching footage of Black Lives Matter protests.

The boy admitted to kicking the male officer's head, hitting and poking his female colleague and shouting abuse in the 'completely random' and 'unprovoked attack.'

He said he thought he was helping another man who he saw in a headlock and was scared after everything he had seen in the news regarding Black Lives Matter.

PC McPherson and PC Ali sustained minor injuries after they were attacked along with one member of the public on Wednesday.

On Friday the boy, accompanied by his aunt, admitted two counts of assault by beating at Thames Magistrates Court.

Prosecutor Varinder Hayre said: 'This is related to an unprovoked attack on two serving police officers who were simply conducting their daily job.

'The officer was dealing with one of the defendants who was resisting arrest.

Group attack police officer as he wrestles with suspect in East London

The trio were arrested along with a 13-year-old boy after a video of the male and female officer being attacked was widely shared on social media

'PC McPherson was involved. He was dealing with that person.

'He [the teenager] then kicked PC McPherson's head and he kicked PC Ali in the head and he poked PC Ali.

'He was shouting abuse. He was subsequently arrested and he was interviewed by police.

'When he was interviewed by police he made full admission to the offence. He identified himself on the video footage.

'He admitted to kicking both police officers.

The footage showed the male officer, PC Macpherson, pinned to the ground and being kicked while his female colleague, PC Ali, was pushed as she tried to intervene. A passer-by who joined in the attack was seen taking a selfie on his phone

'He said he heard Mr Kabemba shouting 'I am innocent' several times and he believed he was helping Mr Kabemba who he saw in a headlock.

'He said he was scared with what he had witnessed with everything he had been seeing and with the news with regards to Black Lives Matter.

'He said he was sorry for kicking the officers and he felt he shouldn't have got involved in the way that he did.'

The boy will be sentenced at Stratford Youth Court on July 8.

District Judge Jonathan Radway said: 'You have pleaded guilty to these two assaults.

'You will get a youth court sentence because of your guilty plea and I am going to send this to the youth court because you are 13 years of age.

'To make sure you stay out of trouble, I am going to say you must be indoors between 7 o'clock in the evening and 7 o'clock in the morning.

Off-duty cop attacked by gang

An off-duty police officer has been left with broken bones after he revealed he was a cop to a gang of thugs in Bolton

The victim, 46, was at home at 9.30pm on Saturday night when a family member told him there had been an assault close to his home.

The policeman headed out to help when he encountered a group of around 10 to 15 youths on Lower Leigh Road in Westhoughton, police said.

When he told them he was an officer they began “brutally attacking him".

A white BMW then arrived at the scene. A woman got out and began hitting the PC with a tennis racket.

As fellow officers arrived, the offenders ran away.

The 46-year-old was rushed to hospital where he was treated for injuries to his face and ribs as well as a broken arm.

Two boys, both aged 16, and a 40-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assault. A second 40-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

While making one of the arrests, another police officer was attacked. A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker.

All five people have since been released under investigation.

Chief Inspector Stephanie Parker, of Greater Manchester Police, said: “This is a shocking incident where an officer has been viciously attacked after identifying himself as a police officer whilst trying to help another person.

“This is disgusting behaviour and will absolutely not be tolerated. Our officers are committed to protecting the public and keeping our streets safe and absolutely do not deserve to be treated in this way.

“We are treating this incident seriously and our investigation is still very much ongoing. We are committed to ensuring that those responsible face the justice they deserve.

“If anyone has any information at all that could assist officers in their enquiries, please do not hesitate to get in touch with police.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 5757, quoting incident number 3163 of 13/06/2020.

2 year old shot in Harlesden

A mother whose son was stabbed to death three years ago made an emotional appeal today over the “indiscriminate” shooting of her two-year-old grandson

The boy was critically injured when a gunman on a motorbike opened fire outside the family home in Harlesden on June 3. Doctors found that the bullet hit just a millimetre from a major artery, and he remains in hospital in a stable condition.

It is the second tragedy to strike the family of Lillian Serunkuma, whose son Quamari Serunkuma-Barnes, 15, was stabbed to death walking home from school in January 2017.

Ms Serunkuma, who has since become a vocal anti-violence campaigner, today called for anyone with information about the attack to come forward. She said: “My grandson is two. He has never hurt anyone. The person who did this doesn’t deserve your protection or friendship.”

The boy’s mother, who is Mrs Serunkuma’s daughter, was struck multiple times as she tried to shield him. Two young men in their late teens were also wounded in the attack in Energen Close at around 9.45pm.

Ms Serunkuma added: “The gunman could clearly see that a woman and child were present in the car, and fired towards them without any regard for their safety, seriously hurting them both.

“My daughter didn’t deserve to be shot multiple times protecting her child. If you know the person responsible for this incident, you need to come forward and speak to the police.”

Quamari Serunkuma-Barnes was chased and stabbed three times outside Capital City Academy in Willesden. His 15-year-old killer was detained for at least 14 years after being found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Wallis said of the gun attack: “This little boy has spent more than a week fighting for his life and his family have been put through a great deal of trauma, so please, don’t think anything you may have seen that night is unimportant.”

Four people have been arrested over the shooting. A 19-year- old man has been bailed on suspicion of attempted murder. Three men, aged 20, 29 and 36 were released under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to call 101 or contact via Twitter @MetCC. Please quote CAD 8326/03JUN.

Murder squad detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed to death in Hornsey. The victim, 48, was found at an address in Waldegrave Road, near Turnpike Lane station, on Saturday. A 42-year-old man has been arrested.

Time to ignore the loony left and

    SAVE THE CHILDREN
Give people who live areas of drug violence a

    A FEAR FREE LIFE
Difficulties:

People not facing up to the fact that there serious problems

Most people who see acts of violence, even murder, are far too frightened to say anything and do not want to have to move

Witnesses being moved for safety have to:
    Break contact with extended family
    Leave homes
    Leave jobs
    Leave friends
    Leave schools and colleges etc
    Close social media accounts
For many young people the violence in video games and music has become a way of life

Due to calls to legalise weed, drug dealers have started diversifying and many now sell class A drugs rather than losing their revenue stream

With the distribution and sale of class A drugs comes a far higher financial turnover and a far higher level of violence as dealers try to move up the chain

McDonald's shooting

A man has been injured in a shooting at a McDonald's drive-thru on the Wirral

Emergency services were called at 5.30pm on Thursday to reports that a 21-year-old man had been shot as he sat in the passenger seat of a car in the drive-thru on Welton Road, Bromborough, Merseyside.

He was taken to hospital suffering leg injuries.

Detectives are appealing for information, saying the suspect is an Asian male, around 5ft 8in tall with a beard and wearing a black hooded jacket.

They believe he fled on foot in the direction of a nearby Asda.

Officers are carrying out enquiries at the scene and a cordon is in place, the force said.

Detective Inspector Paul Parry said: “We are in the very early stages of our investigation, so I would ask anyone who was in the area this afternoon and has information to please get in touch as soon as possible, so we can establish the exact circumstances.

"I understand the alarm this incident will cause, as it happened in broad daylight in a busy area with a number of people around, but rest assured we are doing all we can to locate the person responsible and patrols will remain in the area to provide reassurance and gather information.

"If you witnessed the incident, or have any CCTV, dashcam footage or information, please let us know, as it could prove vital to the investigation.

"Gun crime will not be tolerated on the streets of Merseyside and we will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of those involved in serious and organised crime.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Merseyside police via @MerPolCC, by calling 101 quoting ref. 20000355196 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Media always gives descriptions of any suspects unless they are black, so we know any shooting or stabbing where the suspect was seen but not described then that suspect was black
