Just a reminder - article from 2 years ago:

Hunter Biden helped secure millions in funding
for military biotech research program in Ukraine

Moscow’s claim that Hunter Biden helped finance a US military 'bioweapons' research program in Ukraine is at least partially true, according to new emails obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com

The commander of the Russian Nuclear, Biological and Chemical Protection Forces, claimed there was a 'scheme of interaction between US government agencies and Ukrainian biological objects' and pointed to the 'financing of such activities by structures close to the current US leadership, in particular the investment fund Rosemont Seneca, which is headed by Hunter Biden.'

Intelligence experts say the Russian military leader's allegations were a brazen propaganda ploy to justify president Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine and sow discord in the US.

But emails from Hunter's abandoned laptop show he helped secure millions of dollars of funding for Metabiota, a Department of Defense contractor specializing in research on pandemic-causing diseases that could be used as bioweapons.

He also introduced Metabiota to an allegedly corrupt Ukrainian gas firm, Burisma, for a 'science project' involving high biosecurity level labs in Ukraine.

And although Metabiota is ostensibly a medical data company, its vice president emailed Hunter in 2014 describing how they could 'assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia' – an unusual goal for a biotech firm.

The Russian government held a press conference claiming that Hunter Biden helped finance a US military bioweapons research program in Ukraine. But emails and correspondence obtained by DailyMail.com from Hunter's abandoned laptop show the claims may well be true

Metabiota is a Department of Defense contractor specializing in research on pandemic-causing diseases that could be used as bioweapons

In April 2014, Metabiota vice president Mary Guttieri wrote a memo to Hunter outlining how they could 'assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia'. 'Thanks so much for taking time out of your intense schedule to meet with Kathy [Dimeo, Metabiota executive] and I on Tuesday. We very much enjoyed our discussion,' Guttieri wrote

Four days after Guttieri's April 2014 email, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi wrote to Hunter revealing that the then-Vice President's son had pitched a 'science project' involving Burisma and Metabiota in Ukraine. 'Please find few initial points to be discussed for the purposes of analyzing the potential of this as you called, 'Science Ukraine' project,' Pozharskyi wrote

Government spending records show the Department of Defense awarded an $18.4million contract to Metabiota between February 2014 and November 2016, with $307,091 earmarked for 'Ukraine research projects'

Emails and defense contract data reviewed by DailyMail.com suggest that Hunter had a prominent role in making sure Metabiota was able to conduct its pathogen research just a few hundred miles from the border with Russia.

Burisma adviser Vadym Pozharskyi (pictured). 'As I understand the Metabiota was a subcontract to principal contactor of the DoD B&V [Black & Veatch],' he wrote in an email in 2014

The project turned into a national security liability for Ukraine when Russian forces invaded the country.

Metabiota has worked in Ukraine for Black & Veatch, a US defense contractor with deep ties to military intelligence agencies, which built secure labs in Ukraine that analyzed killer diseases and bioweapons.

Earlier this month US officials warned congress that 'Russian forces may be seeking to gain control' of these 'biological research facilities', prompting fears that deadly and even engineered pathogens could fall into Russian hands.

Hunter and his colleagues at his investment firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners (RSTP) routinely raised millions of dollars for technology companies, hoping the firms would take off and make them all fortunes.

Metabiota was one of those firms. Emails between Hunter and his colleagues excitedly discuss how the company's monitoring of medical data could become an essential tool for governments and companies looking to spot outbreaks of infectious diseases.

The president's son and his colleagues invested $500,000 in Metabiota through their firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners.

They raised several million dollars of funding for the company from investment giants including Goldman Sachs.

But emails show Hunter was also particularly involved in Metabiota's operations in Ukraine.

Hunter's pitches to investors claimed that they not only organized funding for the firm, they also helped it 'get new customers' including 'government agencies in case of Metabiota'.

He and his business partner Eric Schwerin even discussed subletting their office space to the firm in April 2014, their emails reveal.

That month, Metabiota vice president Mary Guttieri wrote a memo to Hunter outlining how they could 'assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia'.

'Thanks so much for taking time out of your intense schedule to meet with Kathy [Dimeo, Metabiota executive] and I on Tuesday. We very much enjoyed our discussion,' Guttieri wrote.

'As promised, I've prepared the attached memo, which provides an overview of Metabiota, our engagement in Ukraine, and how we can potentially leverage our team, networks, and concepts to assert Ukraine's cultural and economic independence from Russia and continued integration into Western society.'

Former senior CIA officer Sam Faddis, who has reviewed emails on Hunter's laptop, told DailyMail.com that the offer to help assert Ukraine's independence was odd for a biotech executive.

'It raises the question, what is the real purpose of this venture? It's very odd,' he said.

Russia's Defense Ministry put out a diagram with arrows connecting Biden, Soros and the Democratic Party to Ukrainian biolabs
The president's son and his colleagues invested $500,000 in Metabiota through their firm Rosemont Seneca Technology Partners. They raised several million dollars of funding for the company from investment giants including Goldman Sachs

Guttieri had a leading role in Metabiota's Ukraine operations, meeting with other company executives and US and Ukrainian military officials in October 2016 to discuss 'cooperation in surveillance and prevention of especially dangerous infectious diseases, including zoonotic diseases in Ukraine and neighboring countries' according to a 2016 report by the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine.

At the time, Hunter was serving as a board member of Ukrainian gas firm Burisma, owned by former top government official and allegedly corrupt billionaire Mikolay Zlochevsky
Four days after Guttieri's April 2014 email, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi wrote to Hunter revealing that the then-Vice President's son had pitched a 'science project' involving Burisma and Metabiota in Ukraine.

'Please find few initial points to be discussed for the purposes of analyzing the potential of this as you called, 'Science Ukraine' project,' Pozharskyi wrote.

'As I understand the Metabiota was a subcontract to principal contactor of the DoD B&V [Black & Veatch].

'What kind of partnership Metabiota is looking for in Ukraine? From potential non-governmental player in Kiev? Rebuilt the ties with respective ministries in Ukraine, and on the basis of that reinstate the financing from the B&V? Or they look for partnership in managing projects in Ukraine, PR with Government institutions here, financing of the projects?'

Faddis told DailyMail.com that the attempt to get Metabiota to form a partnership with Burisma was a perplexing and worrying revelation.

'His father was the Vice President of the United States and in charge of relations with Ukraine. So why was Hunter not only on the board of a suspect Ukrainian gas firm, but also hooked them up with a company working on bioweapons research?' Faddis said.

'It's an obvious Russian propaganda attempt to take advantage of this. But it doesn't change the fact that there does seem to be something that needs to be explored here.

'The DoD position is that there's nothing nefarious here, this is pandemic early warning research. We don't know for sure that's all that was going on.

'But the question still remains: why is Hunter Biden in the middle of all this? Why is the disgraced son of the vice president at the heart of this – the guy with no discernible skills and a cocaine habit.'
Pozharsky said in his email to Hunter that he had encountered such biological research projects before in his former job as a Ukrainian government official, and claimed that B&V worked on 'similar or the same projects' as the proposed contract for Metabiota.

Government spending records show the Department of Defense awarded an $18.4million contract to Metabiota between February 2014 and November 2016, with $307,091 earmarked for 'Ukraine research projects'.

The US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) also commissioned B&V to build a Biological Safety Level 3 laboratory in Odessa, Ukraine in 2010, which 'provided enhanced equipment and training to effectively, safely and securely identify especially dangerous pathogens' according to a company press release.

Such labs are used to 'study infectious agents or toxins that may be transmitted through the air and cause potentially lethal infections,' the US Department of Health and Human Services says.

B&V was awarded a further five-year $85million contract in 2012.

In a May 2014 email, RSTP partner Schwerin suggested: 'there are obviously some real potential synergies between Xiaoying's husband's work at the CDC and what Metabiota does. Something else to think about'

In another sign of the deep ties between Metabiota and the Department of Defense, Hunter's RSTP business partner Rob Walker said he would 'have a friend reach out to DoD on the down low', in order to prove the company's bona fides to top prospective investors Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley in October 2014

In another sign of the deep ties between Metabiota and the Department of Defense, Hunter's RSTP business partner Rob Walker said he would 'have a friend reach out to DoD on the down low', in order to prove the company's bona fides to top prospective investors Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley in October 2014.

RSTP was a subsidiary of Rosemont Capital, an investment company founded by Hunter and former Secretary of State John Kerry's stepson Chris Heinz in 2009.

Metabiota also has close ties to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), suspected to be the source of the COVID-19 outbreak.

WIV was a hotspot for controversial 'gain of function' research that can create super-strength viruses.

Chinese scientists performed gain of function research on coronaviruses at the WIV, working alongside a US-backed organization EcoHealth Alliance that has since drawn intense scrutiny over its coronavirus research since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Researchers from the Wuhan institute, Metabiota and EcoHealth Alliance published a study together in 2014 on infectious diseases from bats in China, which notes that tests were performed at the WIV.

Shi Zhengli, the WIV Director of the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases who became dubbed the 'bat lady' for her central role in bat coronavirus research at the lab, was a contributor to the paper.

Metabiota has been an official partner of EcoHealth Alliance since 2014, according to its website.

NOTE: although their is no mention of the illegal coup that removed the legally elected President from office, a great deal of US activity was taking place in Ukraine at the time of the coup

ALSO NOTE: that for many months US denied the existence of biolabs in Ukraine, turned out that there were 46 US military funded biolabs in Ukraine

Russia wants end of conflict

Ukraine ready for ceasefire with Russia on certain fronts

President Vladimir Putin stated that “Russia is in favor of a complete and final end of the conflict" with no additional conditions enabling Ukraine to "recover losses, regroup, and rearm."

Ukraine could be ready to cease hostilities with Russia in certain areas on the front, the German tabloid newspaper Bild reported, citing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's apparent revised strategy.

The key points of the plan include a “demand to be allowed to deploy Western long-range weapons deep inside Russia, as well as Ukraine’s readiness to accept local ceasefires along certain portions of the front, and thus a provisional freezing of the situation,” according to the German newspaper.

Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in July that Moscow is not interested in a “ceasefire or some kind of pause that the Kiev regime could use to recover losses, regroup, and rearm, asserting “Russia is in favor of a complete and final end of the conflict."

Putin proposed an immediate ceasefire in June, on the condition that Ukraine provide legally binding guarantees that it would not seek NATO membership, and withdraw its forces from all forces claimed by Russia. However, Kiev and its Western allies rejected this proposal.

Zelensky aims to present 'victory plan'

Bild reported on Saturday that Zelensky plans to visit the US later this month, presenting his revised strategy to President Joe Biden, as well as Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and her Republican counterpart and former president Donald Trump.

The Ukrainian leader disclosed last month his intentions to reveal his “victory plan” to Biden in September, suggesting the plan likely included asking the US for further financial and military aid, claiming that victory is dependent on Washington granting Kiev “what is in this plan.”

The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday, citing unidentified European diplomats, that US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and UK British Foreign Minister David Lammy informed Ukrainian officials behind closed doors that a “full Ukrainian victory would require the West to provide hundreds of billions of dollars worth of support, something neither Washington nor Europe can realistically do.”

Kiev is allegedly being called on to “come up with a more realistic plan.”

I strongly believe that Boris Johnson should be charged with MURDER because HE is legally responsible for twice intervening and preventing the Russia / Ukraine peace agreement from going ahead, that makes Johnson a MASS MURDERER

UK Loony Left Wing Government
    Supports Ukrainian NAZIS
The long-range weapons Ukraine wants to use against Russia

Ukraine using long-range weapons provided by its Western allies, including UK, has been a contentious topic of discussion in recent months, with Kiev urging for the use of Storm Shadows and ATACMS against Russia.

Ukraine has been urging its Western allies for permission to use their supplied long-range missiles to strike deep into Russia for months, claiming it needs these munitions to target military sites that store Russian warplanes and missiles used amid their ongoing conflict.

This contentious request was discussed in Friday's meeting between US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, with the latter pushing Washington to provide more leeway to Ukraine. Additionally, Starmer especially seeks Biden's support to allow Kiev to use British Storm Shadow missiles in Russian territory.

The meeting concluded with the White House suggesting a "holding pattern" until Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky visits New York later this month to present his "victory plan."

So what exactly are these weapons?

Storm Shadows and SCALPs

Known as Storm Shadows in Britain and SCALPs in France, the two nations have sent Kiev air-launched cruise missiles that have attacked Russian targets in the Black Sea and Crimea.

These missiles have a range of around 250 kilometers, and have been launched from Ukraine's Soviet-era fighter jets.

The UK is aiming to obtain approval from the US to authorize Ukraine's use of the missiles across the border with the intention of the allies presenting a united front
For its part, France has previously expressed support for Kiev's deep strikes into Russia, on the condition they target military sites directly linked to Moscow's war efforts against Ukraine.

Some analysts speculate the United States is following its pattern of allowing its allies to take the initial actions in providing Ukraine with new capabilities or permissions, with Washington later potentially following suit.

ATACMS

The Army Tactical Missile Systems, or ATACMS (pronounced "attack 'ems"), are US-made long-range missiles composed of 170 kilograms of explosives. Depending on the model, the missiles can strike targets at a range of 305 kilometers.

Despite Washington providing Kiev with ATACMS last year, the Biden administration has withheld its authorization to use the munitions to strike deep into Russia.

US and European military officials stated that, in anticipation of potential approval, Russia moved 90% of its air bases that store bomber jets out of the missile's range.

Initially developed in the 1980s to hit Soviet targets deep into enemy territories, ATACMS could also be used to strike Russia's ground-based air defense systems that can target Ukraine's new batch of F-16 fighter jets, experts said.

JASSMs

Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missiles, known as JASSMs (pronounced “jazz ’ems”), are air-launched missiles that can strike as far as 370 kilometers.

These missiles also contain 450 kg warheads that can be fired from F-16 fighter jets, allowing Kiev to fire deep into Russia without leaving its own airspace.

These long-range missiles have not yet been supplied to Ukraine. However, according to a US official, the Biden administration is considering providing them amid the conflict.

The official added that even if Biden approves the provision of these munitions, delivery could take months, and it remains unclear if the US president would allow Ukraine to use them to strike into Russia.

Trump: US will get along great with
    Russia, China if re-elected
Donald Trump reiterates that he aims to resolve the Russia-Ukraine war if he is re-elected into office in the upcoming US presidential elections

The US under Trump would get along well with Russia and China if he wins in the upcoming presidential elections, the former president said on Tuesday,

"I don't know that they're enemies. I think we'll get along great with China. I think we'll get along great with Russia," the Republican candidate said in an interview with blogger Farouk Sarmad, broadcast on X.

"I want to get Russia to settle up in Ukraine," Trump added.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated it is premature to evaluate Trump's preparedness to become a mediator in resolving the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, asserting the necessity to wait until the end of the presidential elections.

Good thing for US to get along with foreign leaders

It is "a good thing" for US presidents to develop relations with foreign leaders despite their differing policies, Trump said on August 12 in a live-streamed interview with Elon Musk on X, citing his political relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and claiming the leader "respected him."

“I know Putin very well. I got along with him very well. He respected me and it’s just one of those things,” the former president said, accusing the current US administration of failing to develop ties with international leaders.

“I hope to get along well with him again," Trump said on his rapport with the Russian leader, adding, "You know, getting along well with them is a good thing, not a bad thing,” referring to China's President Xi Jinping and DPRK leader Kim Jong Un.

The Republican presidential candidate's statements follow Musk's suggestion that "evil dictators" and "real tough characters" need to be intimidated by the US government to achieve world safety.

In western countries most of our household and electrical goods come from China, it is unwise to follow US's attempted war against China

I have a theory on the recent anti-Russian propaganda, US lies are intent on giving people someone to hate rather than the sheeple in US paying too much attention on the FACT that US is supporting/enabling the genocidal slaughter of THOUSANDS of PALESTINIANS

Also, the US government is allowing MILLIONS of undocumented, often criminal, migrants into the country and fast-tracking their right to remain on condition they vote for the democrats X(

West discussing negotiated peace

As Russian forces advance in Donbass and Western support for Ukraine faces new limitations, Le Figaro reports that a negotiated peace solution is being quietly discussed among Ukraine’s allies

Le Figaro reported that Kiev’s setbacks are leading Western backers to reconsider how to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. After 30 months of fighting, the idea of a negotiated settlement is being "discreetly" discussed in the US, EU, and even Ukraine, the French newspaper said on Monday.

The paper wrote that Russian forces are advancing “slowly but steadily” in Donbass, nearing the strategic town of Pokrovsk. Le Figaro notes that “in the West, it is increasingly openly acknowledged that Donbass and Crimea are beyond the military reach of the Ukrainians.”

Although Kiev’s incursion into Russia’s Kursk Region may have met its political goals, it did not prompt Moscow to withdraw forces from other areas of the frontline, the newspaper stressed.

The article notes that Washington is blocking Kiev from conducting long-range strikes into Russian territory due to fears of escalating tensions with Moscow, including the risk of nuclear conflict. An unnamed French official told Le Figaro that "Whoever the US president is [after the election in November], the aid will decrease and the war will not be sustainable for the Ukrainians."

Germany recently cut military aid to Ukraine, and France “lost the initiative” after President Emmanuel Macron dissolved parliament in June. Additionally, the West “misjudged” Russia’s strong ties with allies in the Global South and Asia, including China, Iran, and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the paper added.

Moreover, a senior French diplomat told Le Figaro that Paris is now advocating for a "lasting and negotiated solution to the war, with Ukraine in a position of strength to assert its rights and security against Russia."

The outlet noted that a new "peace summit" on Ukraine could now take place in Abu Dhabi after the US elections in November, following an unsuccessful gathering in Switzerland this summer.

A French official emphasized that the West must decide "what could be considered a victory for Ukraine," asking whether it should be a "territorial victory" to reclaim allegedly regions now under Russia's control or a "political victory" under the notion of "a free and democratic country, turned towards the West, engaged in the EU and NATO, even if it means giving up, temporarily, the occupied territories?"

Ukraine's corruption is long term and well noted, please read this article from 8 yeays ago:

The IMF’s Christine Lagarde in Davos

IMF warns Ukraine it will halt $40bn bailout unless corruption stops

Christine Lagarde says it is hard to see the programme continuing ‘without substantial effort’ to improve governance

The International Monetary Fund has warned it will halt its $40bn (£28bn) bailout programme to Ukraine unless the conflict-torn eastern European country takes immediate action to tackle corruption.

The IMF’s managing director, Christine Lagarde, said on Wednesday that “without a substantial new effort” to improve governance, it was hard to see how the Washington-based organisation could continue to provide financial help.

“I am concerned about Ukraine’s slow progress in improving governance and fighting corruption, and reducing the influence of vested interests in policymaking,” she said.

“Without a substantial new effort to invigorate governance reforms and fight corruption, it is hard to see how the IMF-supported programme can continue and be successful. Ukraine risks a return to the pattern of failed economic policies that has plagued its recent history. It is vital that Ukraine’s leadership acts now to put the country back on a promising path of reform.”

Lagarde’s comments follow the resignation last week of Ukraine’s economic minister, Aivaras Abromavičius, after he accused a senior aide to the country’s president, Petro Poroshenko, of blocking anti-corruption reforms.

The IMF’s programme involves disbursing money in stages and has always been contingent on economic and political reforms. A third tranche of assistance has been held up since October because IMF officials have grown increasingly concerned that the financial assistance would be squandered or stolen by corrupt officials.

Latest figures, for the third quarter of 2015, show the Ukrainian economy contracting at an annual rate of more than 7%, and IMF support has been vital in preventing a bigger collapse in output and in brokering a debt relief deal with investors.

But interest rates on Ukrainian bonds have risen sharply and the currency, the hryvnia, was trading close to a one-year low against the US dollar.

Responding to the IMF statement, Pavlo Klimkin, the Ukrainian foreign minister, said: “I do not consider it as a warning but as a message. Our IMF programme is critical for us - the main task and challenge is to make the whole system of tackling corruption operational and effective. It has just started. You cannot expect it to work over days but we don’t have time to develop the system over years and years.”

Ukraine urges Congress to
    reject China's peace plan
Ukrainian officials has circulated materials opposing China's peace plan ahead of the UN General Assembly, where global leaders, including Zelensky, will gather

An unnamed senator revealed that Ukraine is lobbying US Congress members to oppose a peace plan proposed by China, Punchbowl News reported on Monday.

Over the weekend, Ukrainian officials distributed materials to congressional representatives opposing the plan, ahead of the annual UN General Assembly in New York, where global leaders, including Volodymyr Zelensky, are set to convene.

Chinese officials are also expected to present their proposal, calling on Western countries to halt their support for Ukrainian strikes into Russian territory.

Meanwhile, Congress has been urging the Biden administration to remove restrictions preventing Ukraine from launching deeper strikes into Russia.

Ukraine reportedly criticized China's plan as self-serving, accusing Beijing of attempting to bolster its relationship with Moscow.

In February 2023, China released a 12-point document titled "China's Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis," which outlined measures for a peace process in Ukraine.

It called for respect for the sovereignty of all countries, the cessation of hostilities, and the resumption of peace talks between Moscow and Kiev.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that some of the provisions of the plan could be a basis for a peace settlement "if the West and Kiev are ready for it."

Beijing has consistently reiterated its support for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict in Ukraine and expressed opposition to actions by countries that align with one side.

Earlier this month, Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong said that China will continue engaging with all parties to facilitate peace talks on Ukraine.

Trump vows to end US involvement in Ukraine

Former US President Donald Trump pledges that he would stop Washington's involvement in the Ukraine war were he to become President

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, in a speech delivered on Tuesday in Georgia, criticized the Biden administration's approach to the ongoing Ukraine war.

Trump argued that the United States needs to end its involvement in the war, claiming that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris lack a viable exit strategy.

"Biden and Kamala got us into this war in Ukraine, and now they can't get us out. They can't get us out," Trump stated, emphasizing his belief that the current administration had failed in its efforts to manage US engagement in the war.

While the US has not publically deployed troops to Ukraine, it has provided billions of dollars in military and humanitarian aid to support the country's defense against Russia.

Trump also highlighted his own plan to resolve the conflict if he were elected president, asserting that he could bring about a swift resolution.

"I think that we're stuck in that war unless I'm president. I'll get it done. I'll get it negotiated, I'll get out. We gotta get out," he proclaimed. He further criticized Biden's stance, quoting the president as saying,

"We will not leave until we win."

Trump's comments reflect his long-standing position on reducing US involvement in foreign conflicts, as he continues to campaign for the 2024 Republican nomination. Zelensky thinks Trump's promises as unrealistic

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has dismissed US Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s promise to immediately end the war with Russia, describing it as typical election rhetoric unlikely to come to fruition.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that if he returns to the White House, he would secure a peace deal between Moscow and Kiev "within 24 hours."

"Just get it done. All right. Negotiate a deal," Trump said during last week’s presidential debate with his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Harris responded by accusing Trump of planning to "just give up" on Ukraine, and she proceeded to highlight her own efforts to secure military support for Ukraine.

In an interview with CNN’s "Fareed Zakaria GPS" on Sunday, Zelensky downplayed Trump’s statements, describing them as typical election rhetoric that may not be realistic.

"My position is that election rhetoric is often just that—rhetoric," he said.

"While acknowledging that Trump’s comments "can make us, all our people nervous," the Ukranian president noted that a recent conversation with the former president had conveyed a different sentiment.

Sergey Lavrov blasts Western foreign policy ahead of his visit to the UNGA's 79th session in New York

Russia will emerge victorious in Ukraine because that is the only language that the West understands, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.

Lavrov, who flew to New York to participate in the 79th plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), spoke to the Russian news agency TASS before his departure from Moscow.

"Wherever the West infiltrates to 'fix' a crisis things only get much worse," the top Russian diplomat explained

He said that "thousands of victims, devastation and socio-economic problems follow," follow Western interference.

"In my years of work in the international arena, there has not been a single case of the West’s intervention resulting in anything good," he added. :))

"And now we’re seeing the same thing with Ukraine and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict," Russia's foreign affairs minister underlined.

He said that the only solution to the problem in Ukraine is "victory."

"Victory. They don’t understand any other language," Lavrov underlined.

He stressed that Russia has "no doubt whatsoever" that it would achieve victory.

"We have truly united in the face of the war that the West unleashed against us with Ukrainian hands," he stated.

West seeks to subjugate the world to its international order

According to the minister, the collective West seeks to "subjugate" the globe to its "rules-based international order."

Yet, he said that no one has ever explained what these "rules" might be, aside from allowing the United States to do what it wants in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, the Balkans, Ukraine, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and the South China Sea.

"They have tried to act everywhere like a hegemon, like an elephant in a china shop," Lavrov underscored.

UK depletes weapon stockpiles
    after supplying Ukraine
According to Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces Luke Pollard, supplying Ukraine with as many weapons as possible was the "right thing" to do

UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces, Luke Pollard, announced on Wednesday that the UK has depleted its weapon stockpiles after nearly three years of supplying arms to Ukraine.

He stressed the urgent need for the country to replenish its military resources.

"We have depleted our own stocks in order to do that," Pollard was quoted as saying by The Times on the sidelines of a Labour conference, adding that national stockpiles were so "threadbare" that the government had to cut supplies to Kiev in mid-2023.

Pollard asserted that supplying Ukraine with as many weapons as possible was the "right thing" to do, adding that the Labour government must not only focus on replenishing the depleted stockpiles but also ensure a steady and reliable supply of arms for Ukraine.

"I think most Western nations have gifted most of the deployable resources they have … so we are seeing a greater trading relationship being formed," Pollard added.

Since the war in Ukraine began, the UK's economy has faced significant challenges, including a sharp rise in energy prices due to global sanctions on Russia.

Additionally, the UK's commitment to providing military aid to Ukraine has put further pressure on public finances, exacerbating the country's rising debt.

Russia has repeatedly warned that providing arms to Ukraine hampers efforts to achieve peace and essentially involves NATO members in the ongoing conflict

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that any cargo containing weapons destined for Ukraine will be considered a legitimate target for Russian military strikes :ymapplause:

UK faces £2.71Bln bill to replenish stockpiles

A report released by the National Audit Office (NAO) earlier this month revealed that the UK is set to spend £2.71 billion ($3.6 billion) to restore its military stockpiles.

The report also noted that, by the end of March 2024, the military equipment donated to Ukraine had a current value of only £171.5 million.

The gap between the value of the donated equipment and the replacement cost is largely attributed to the depreciation of older equipment, as well as the Ministry's plans to acquire more advanced models in certain cases, further increasing the overall cost.

In addition to stockpile donations, the UK has rapidly procured military equipment for Ukraine from the defense industry, bringing the total value of aid—combining stockpiles and newly purchased equipment—to £2.59 billion as of March 2024.

However, the NAO report highlighted that since 2023, London has scaled back donations from its own arsenals to avoid compromising the UK's military readiness.

Overall, the NAO reports that the UK has committed £7.8 billion in military aid to Ukraine between January 2022 and March 2025.

The increased military aid to Ukraine has also significantly impacted the UK's spending on combat operations. The NAO noted that spending reached £2.9 billion in the 2022-2023 financial year, the highest level since the UK's deployment in Afghanistan in 2011-2012.

Biden issues $8bln military aid for Kiev

US President Joe Biden unveiled over $8 billion in military aid for Ukraine on Thursday, emphasizing that the support is aimed at helping Kiev "win the war" with Russia

The announcement coincided with a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the US. The Ukrainian president will meet with Democratic and Republican leaders at the Capitol prior to his meeting with Biden.

This assistance package includes the first delivery of a precision-guided glide bomb, known as the Joint Standoff Weapon, which has a range of up to 130 kilometers.

This would significantly boost Ukraine's ability to carry out strikes further inside Russian territory, a move Moscow has warned could escalate the conflict and expand the war. It also suggests a shift in Washington's policy, indicating unannounced approval for Kiev to utilize US-provided advanced weaponry to target areas deeper within Russia.

A global cryptocurrency network

The bulk of the new aid, $5.5 billion, is to be allocated before Monday's end of the US fiscal year, when the funding authority is set to expire. Another $2.4 billion is under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative, which allows the administration to buy weapons for Ukraine from companies - primarily American ones - rather than pull them from US stocks.

"That is why, today, I am announcing a surge in security assistance for Ukraine and a series of additional actions to help Ukraine win this war," said Biden.

As part of his proposal, the President stated that the Defense Department will restore and deliver an additional Patriot air defense battery, along with extra Patriot missiles to Ukraine.

Biden also instructed the Pentagon to increase the training of Ukrainian F-16 pilots, with plans to train an additional 18 pilots in the coming year.

The United States, in collaboration with international partners, will take action to disrupt what President Biden described as "a global cryptocurrency network" used for Russian sanctions evasion and alleged money laundering.

Additionally, Biden announced that he will organize a leader-level summit of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Germany next month, aiming to unify the efforts of over 50 nations supporting Ukraine.

Firing Ukraine's ambassador to the US

However, it remains uncertain how many Republicans will agree to meet with Zelensky, as criticism of Kiev grows among party leaders, including Donald Trump.

Trump has been vocal in his criticism of the Ukrainian President and has so far declined Zelenskiy's request for a meeting.

During a campaign rally in North Carolina on Wednesday, Trump expressed strong disapproval of Zelensky, stating, "We continue to give billions of dollars to a man who refused to make a deal, Zelensky."

Additionally, many Republicans in Congress were outraged by Zelensky's recent visit to a munitions factory in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Biden’s hometown. The Republican-led House Oversight Committee has since launched an investigation into the Ukrainian President's trip.

Trump also held President Biden and Democrat presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris accountable for allowing Russia's war to take place
Rep. House Speaker Mike Johnson, who is not expected to meet with Zelensky on Thursday, called on the Ukrainian President to sack his ambassador to Washington over the planning of the Scranton visit.

However, he reassured the Ukrainians that this diplomatic issue is not linked to the provision of military aid to Ukraine.

An easy to understand breakdown of conflict in Ukraine:

By 2014 US were already in Ukraine doing dodgy deals with government and bio-labs

Remember US spent months denying the existence of such bio-labs, only to have the truth come out

US may well have been involved or party to the violent 2014 military coup

The Donbass voted not to support the illegal government and rightly so

After which the Ukrainian NAZIS attacked Donbass slaughtering thousands of innocent civilians

In order to return to a more peaceful co-existence the Minsk agreement was drawn up that allowed the Donbass to have a semi autonomous region and a certain amount of self government

In the meantime the new illegal Ukrainian government tried to destroy the Donbass people's national heritage and Russian culture/language

I have been watching Ukraine for many years because what it has done to the people of Donbass is very similar to that which assorted countries have done to Kurds

With the continued attacks on Donbass, the Donbass made MANY appeals to the international for help and support, even leading to articles in International Media

Eventually, due to the non-stop attacks, the Donbass appealed to Russia for help

Russia was invited in to stop the Ukrainian slaughter

Are there really NAZIS in the Ukraine;

YES

The Azov regiment is a NAZI regiment and as such at one time, even the US banned any support for them

Kiev supports the NAZIS, so much so that it has renamed many of it's streets after NAZI heroes

As for the Minsk agreements, countries such as Germany have recently admitted that the only reason they signed Minsk was to give Ukraine to build up it's supply of weapons

It is a disgrace that anyone should support the Ukrainian NAZI government, has everyone forgotten WW2 when Ukrainian government was happily supporting NAZI and became involved in some of the worst horrors committed by NAZIS

Donbass fought against the NAZIS and has a statue commemorating it's freedom from them

Now the people of Donbas are having to fight NAZIS again and given the history of the area I cannot understand why anyone would support Ukrainian NAZIS

Borrell admits US keeps war going

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell believes that were it not for the US and EU backing, Ukraine would be forced to surrender

Ukraine will be forced to surrender in the war with Russia without the assistance of the United States Union and the European Union, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, said on Friday.

Borrell stressed the "crucial role" that the EU and US play in Ukraine, saying, "Without us, Ukraine would have to surrender."

The European official made these remarks during a meeting of the European Council on Foreign Relations.

In the same context, Borrell said the US and EU cannot determine when a final resolution for the conflict will be reached.

Meanwhile, former US President and Republican candidate for the upcoming presidential election, Donald Trump, said ahead of a meeting with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky that the war has to come to an end at some point.
