Why not? And then we transfer the Turks in North Kurdistan to Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan or Mongolia.

Well naturally the Armenians would be happy to get Kars and Trabzone and Georgia would LOVE to have their hands on the areas north of Kars

So we have more countries that WANT it than to NOT want it... And maybe we CAn send the Turks to Azerbaijan - tehy have the same way for worshipping their STUPID leaders there too so theyy would fit RIGHT in...
And Grece needs to reclaim Constantinopel... And not to mention ALL other lands that were taken from them.. They are the Kurds REAL neighbours... Smyrna was a Greece collonia... And Cyprus would ASLO love to get rid of the Turks... CAN YOU NAME ONE nation that would NOT want to get rid of them???

I can still remember the Shia Turks chanting against Kurds in Iran.

Okey... lett me clearify this: The "Turks" as you are calling them are not "Turks" - they are Echem - or as is said in English- Azerbaijani... They are many in Iran - yes - they are about 15-20 million of the population in Iran - even though official records do not record this... (It's politics - lets not get into that part... yet

)
And so they wouldn't mind "anything" as they per say are "persian" and persian is the same as "Iranian" and Iranians want there to be a "belte" of Shiism from Syria to Afghanistan... They are trying... And so they would't mind getting ALL that oil and rescources in South Iraq...

After reading this
http://www.kurdmedia.com/news.asp?id=6934, I seriously doubt that Kurds will even get Kirkuk back.
All these ethnic group are determine not to see Kurds in control of Kirkuk. I'm sure Arabs and Turkmens are bring in new settlers, as well as the Kurds to, but I think in the end Arabs and Turkmens will get there way.

But Kurds have Kirkuk back, and they negotiated with the Turkomen and that deal willl probably hold. The Arabs do not want to be in Kurdistan, except for work and vacations, they want to be in Iraq. That's fine.
I think Syria and Iran will eventually break apart...but Kurds are likely going to have to absorb those Kurds in Northern Kurdistan because they are not going to give up the territory and no one is going to make them. I can't see a way that this could happen...but you know...almost every nation has done things like this. Pakistan was created because the ultra-Muslims did not want to live in secular India, and that worked, but there was a lot of population transfers. Many people had to leave their villages and go to another place throughout history, in a compromise. I know one Uzbek whose farm is split in half with the new border that the Tajik's agreed on. It's NOT fair, but it's a real improvement over the current situation.

We will see if your "positive" ideas will become reality. The Turkmen and Arabs are way to stubborn to "give" Kirkuk away. And civil war is more likely.

Look at the people that came to the US, giving up their former homes and ask yourself if they had stood where they were, on pride, would they be better? Look at the pictures of the Kurds and Iraqi Jews that moved to Israel and ask if they are better off or not? Look at the Iranians that left Iran and moved to better places if they are better off or not.
One part of a free democratic land, is better than all of a repressive land. It's not fair, it's not right, it's not what every Kurd wants, but it is still so much better than anything in at least 90 years...and before that, it was even worse.

Emmunah - I disagree... It is not unfair - it is STUPIDITY! Yes... Kurds have not been the smart fox - they have been the dumb bear... They should have taken chances they had and done something about their situation...
If Kurds haden't helped atatürk to build the so-called "Turkish-Kurdish state" then today there would be a Kurdistan... It is THAT simple - and I am VERY sorry Emmunah that you seem to care little for the history of our people... it seems that you can't comprehend the importance that lies in the mistakes that were made by our forefathers... How can we forget the past? It is only by understanding our past that we can see where our future lies... I will never forget that Kurds were slaugthered and butchered - were killed, raped, kidnapped and assimilated - I can't forget ONE single person of those MILLIONS of Kurds who have suffered death at the hands of our oppressors and mentors...
I am not capeable of forgiveness of an enemy that EVEN today can not beg for forgivness from his victim...
I am the Kurd - Slaughtered in millions!
I am the Kurd - Sold for oil worth trillions!
I am the Kurd - Oppressed and abused!
I am the Kurd - Hated and accused!

Yes, the past is more important then you think Emmanuah. Otherwise we would forget the mistakes we once made and we are forced to repeat those mistakes.
