Take a crack at being a religious know it all.

Discussions about religion.

Take a crack at being a religious know it all.

PostAuthor: Darkseid » Wed May 09, 2007 1:27 am

Let see if one of us can take a crack at being a potential know it all by being asked religious questions.

What does this have to do with religion?

Well lets just say it would help pull out the potential likelihood one may have in the assertive fields of an oracle, prophet, or seer.

I'll take the first jab in this. Go and ask away. I'll let you know when I've had enough.

I'm not sure if I understand your intentions but I'll ask you a question.

Why do scientologists believe that aliens taken prisoners by some inter-galactic army were taken to Earth's volcanos, placed around the opening and blew them up with hydrogen bombs? I have always wondered.

I have no scientologist associates that share into digesting into such a study. But for those that are, they, like all other humans, are trying to open their mind to unthinkable possibilities. It is an associative practice founded in Hinduism and Buddhism. I don't think they actually believe in it. But most certainly there are people that may speak of things of uncertainty because the uncertainty of it is certainly a possibility.

Because it is likely to happen makes it credible as a possibility and even perhaps a reality. But I can assure you it is just a fantasy.

But why do they believe in it? If they truly do then I'd be shock, because there are no extraterrestrial prisons stationed on the Earth. But I am most certain they don't and are only digesting into theoritical possibilities.

Religion is bullshit, but as honorable atheistic men, we must tolerate it.

Athiesm is a variety of religion.

Nontheism is what you are talking about.

Nontheists are those that don't pertain to any faith.

Athiesm? Ever heard of Athiestic Buddhism? Yeah... see what I mean now? You can have athiesm in a religion.

Athiesm isn't the disregard in beliefs. It is just the disregard in there being a god.

So as an Athiest, your religion can be criticized.

Meaby I took something wrong, In this country Atheism can be/is confused with non theism. Sorry

And, I do not really look at Dharmatic ''religions'' as religions, rather lifestyles and philosophy, as no gods, holy books etc is a part of it.

And in the Norwegian ''Atheist'' group, there are two branches, those atheists who don't know about any existence of any god, and those who deny everything with religion (Non theists ?)

Well they just aren't Abrahamic religions.

Dharmatic faiths are faiths, but they aren't screwed up.

You see true Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and such were all at one time or another similar to Buddhism.

Sufism and Gnosticism are both Buddhist like faiths that were created from the true followers of the prophets.

Sufism came from Muhammad. Gnosticism came from Jesus.

Anti-Sufism is what had lead to the Islam most realised today. It is against the true ways of Muhammad, which are all Sufi-like.

Anti-Gnosticism is what had lead to the Christianity most realized today. It is against the true ways of Jesus, which are all Gnostic-life.

Scientology is a cult, where they brainwash you into thinking you need to be "fixed" when you are fine. They demand so much money, and for what? God can't handle their finances? They use you, spit you out, and leave you to rott! This is my intoloreance towards this organization. Criticese my religion, I don't belong to any!

Perhaps so, but you should never speak against any faith without the proper evidence to provide your great skepticism.

Also, every faith started as a cult.

Science isnt knowledge, it is media

Why are the theories of evolution put in "fact" books while religions are put in religionbooks, at school??

When there are thousands of great evidence against evolutions, such as Coal14 method (scientists way to find out how old an object/body is) turned out to give fake results

I'm well aware of the blunder of humanity. I'm in contact with god. He (the force) tells me what is true and what is not.

The Earth is well beyond a billion years old. Carbon dating has its limits and can only measure how old something is in the thousands of years. There are other chemical element dating that is less misleading and traces things much more far back on this earth. Such as Uranium and Radium dating.

There is also something known as a half-life. A half life is a period of time in which an element decays. You see elements decay throughout a certain period of time turning into another element. This is how scientists date things.

technically all churches, mosques, synagoges, temples, gurduwares can be called a cult. The evidence is in the testimonials. It's immportant that religions be put to the test. Just about every faith is a cult. As far as evidence take a look at this http://youtube.com/watch?v=rD9bCdHqU3s&mode=related&search=
