About christmas time..?

Can someone tell me..
When: for example people in Poland, have Christmas time.. in december, after that New Year etc...
How this time look in Kurdish culture.. I know, that they haven't something like we, but can someone tell me, what they do in this time, they have some another days to celebrate, for example with family.. ? (but now I ask only about time in december) I want know... cause I haven't really much informations about that.. :( I will be spend that time with my boyfriend, so I schould know more, and I want know more :) help me, help me :)
AAaaa.. and what they say if they have some days to celebrate, like Eid mubark? or something like this.. :?:

Most communities way before Christ was born, have celebrities that day. Usually in honor of the winter solstice. Pray to the Gods Righteous Sun God to come out, and grant them a long and bountiful harvest. I would not be surprised if The kurds or atleast the Yezidi and other sufi sect like Al Haqq have some kind of non christian celebration. Actually if Yezidi did celebrate it would probably be because of Christ. They do celebrate Easter
