You mean the "following suras from QURAN"... Not "Islam"...

PS - it isn't hard at all - just yahoo or google for an "online Quran"...

oh man i just typed in it Koran Quoets

"O Prophet! Make war against the unbelievers [all non-Muslims] and the hypocrites and be merciless against them. Their home is hell, an evil refuge indeed." (Koran, 9:73)

"When you meet the unbelievers in jihad [holy war], chop off their heads. And when you have brought them low, bind your prisoners rigorously. Then set them free or take ransom from them until the war is ended." (Koran, 47:4)

When we decide to destroy a population, we send a definite order to them who have the good things in life and yet sin. So that Allah's word is proven true against them, then we destroy them utterly." (Koran, 17:16-17)

"In order that Allah may separate the pure from the impure, put all the impure ones [all non-Muslims] one on top of another in a heap and cast them into hell. They will have been the ones to have lost." (Koran, 8:37)

by the way did you guys know that Mohammed had a teacher he was a monk of the Assyrian Church better know for the old times as Nestorian Church :D

Do not take verses from the Quran out of context Mr. Assyria... when studying a religion you must take everything it teaches into account. Here are some more quotes:

(In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful...)

[Quran 5:32] "......, we decreed for the Children of Israel that anyone who murders any person who had not committed murder or horrendous crimes, it shall be as if he murdered all the people. And anyone who spares a life, it shall be as if he spared the lives of all the people. .............."

[Quran 60:8]"God does not enjoin you from befriending those who do not fight you because of religion, and do not evict you from your homes. You may befriend them and be equitable towards them. God loves the equitable."

[Quran 6:151] "..You shall not kill - God has made life sacred - except in the course of justice. These are His commandments to you, that you may understand."

[Quran 8:61]"If they resort to peace, so shall you, and put your trust in God. He is the Hearer, the Omniscient."

[Quran 4:90]"...... Therefore, if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then God gives you no excuse to fight them."

I really dislike criticizing any religion because I feel people are entitled to their own beliefs, however, Mr. Assyria, your ignorant comments amaze me...

These following passages came from YOUR Christian text:

Exodus 32:27 "Thus sayeth the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, . . . and slay every man his brother, . . . companion, . . . neighbor."
I Samuel 6:19 " . . . and the people lamented because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter."
I Samuel 15:2,3,7,8 "Thus saith the Lord . . . Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. . . . And Saul smote the Amalekites . . . and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword."
Numbers 15:36 "And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the Lord commanded Moses."
Hosea 13:16 "they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with children shall be ripped up."

In reality, the Bible is more terrible and hateful than Quran. :o And during manies centuries, there were Christian and Jewish ppl in Islamic empires, but Muslims and Jews did no live quietly in Christian Europa during the same period.

Sorry i am not a fan of the old testament the old Testament is finished and i dont care much about it.

However the New Testament is the one you should talk about and Assyrians became Christians as Jesus Christ came not at the time of Judaism.

you know Christians is devlopet from the name Jesus Christ.

p.s. Please make that Assyrian Propaganda Picture a little bit smaller. It is making it difficult to browse this topic.

K.. thx
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.
