Have I discovered something

PostAuthor: Londoner » Thu Dec 08, 2016 10:41 am

Does cold and flu cause high blood pressure? Since last summer I got a mild cold and flu twice. Each time my blood pressure increased to dangerous point before I became ill. The first time I didn't take notice to it. But the second time I became aware of it after I became ill and recovered. Every day I take my blood pressure and it is always more than ideal, it is around 120. On the second time my blood pressure jumped to as far as 150 once. After that it was playing around between 130 and 140+. I was scared and went for my blood check, which comes back after 4 weeks. But now I have recovered and so did my blood pressure. This morning my blood pressure was 108 on both arms on the first check. On the second check the right arm was111 and left arms was 116.

Blood pressure goes up and down many times during the course of a day - even at 150 it is nothing to worry about

If I have been exercising my blood pressure goes down :D

If I have been arguing with certain Kurds - my blood pressure goes up

Nothing at all to worry about UNLESS you have heart problems - which I sincerely hope you do not :ymhug:

Arguing causes strong stress, which generates a massive amount of free radicals. Free radicals electronically not balanced. Most probably this increases blood pressure.

So far I have enjoyed a good health for the last four years except sometimes I got a mild cold or flu each now and then. My blood test came back. Next week I see my doctor about it.
