Whatcha think? Is the Media exaggerating how bad the swine flu virus is or what? Are ya gonna get vaccinated or not?

I haven't been vacinated, but someone close to me had swine flu and I did not contract it. Amazing huh?

I think the media is trying to scare you - it is not much worse than normal influenza but the mortality rate is slightly higher. Also when your body gets rid of the flu, the immune system is so 'tired' from trying to fight it that your body very easily picks up new infections afterwards. The biggest difference I saw with my friend who caught it was that he had some problems breathings, his lungs had been targetted by the virus, which is typical for swine flu.

Yea, I agree, haven't been vaccinated either. Hope your friend's lungs get back to normal. Does he smoke?

No a non-smoker, and very healthy. Swine flu is a little harsher on the body than regular flu, and tends to attack the respiratory system. Scary.
