Eel as in the fish? Of course it's halal hehe. Not that I really care, I'm a "kafer" I'll eat anything hehe.

Sometimes I have a hard time understanding Kurds prejudice towards sea food. I understand that we don't have any big lakes and that we're land locked. But we have rivers and I'm pretty sure they have fish (of course) and probably some cray fish or crabs.

Best thing when it comes to sea food, if you're muslim, it's all halal. Don't be afraid, try it :)

There is nothing wrong with sea food. For jewish people, yes. But not for muslims. But to be honest a lot of kurds I know (no matter their faith), that grew up in Kurdistan, are very narrow minded when it comes to trying new types of food.

Donkey is not forbidden to eat, but since they are important to farmers, it would be stupid to eat an animal that does so much work for you. Unless you're not starving of course.

And yes, consuming alcohol is forbidden in Islam. But the majority of so called muslim kurds I know, they all drink alcoholic beverages, but they don't eat pork hehe
