You do not need an invitation to visit Kurdistan . All you have to do is to apply for a visitor visa in the Iraqi embassy or you could just go to Kurdistan directly and obtain a visa at the airport .

Is that reliable though doing it at airport? I think going to Iraqi embassy is better, because some people can get turned down if they do it at airport.

i can vouch for getting a visa at the airport as long as you are not from Arab iraq (sorry to my Arab brothers but alot of terrorist do come from there).
