Thoughts of the day every day in 2013

This is where you can talk about every subject (previously it was called shout room)

Re the Paris shootings, I stand by my previous comments.

The police needed time to go go through CCTV footage for the night of the shootings and see if they could do a reverse trace on people leaving the country. Due to the influx of Kurds for the protest, the murderers will have easily been able to blend in with the protestors and leave Paris with them.

There is no way that they will be able to check every Kurds who went on the protest march and, sadly, it will have made that task impossible X(

13 January
Public outcry, protests followed by campaigns and then what?

I have seen it happen many times before, then the poor people are forgotten.

Many once happy playful children have died because of Turkey.
Many mother still cry for sons and daughters who have been murdered by Turkey.
Children have had parents killed by Turkey.

When KURDS living in NK think about giving up all ideas of freedom and say they want to remain living in Turkey remember this:

Image

Now hold this picture in your hand and repeat these words "I love Turkey so much that I want to give up any rights to a Free Kurdistan." Then get down on your KNEES and beg forgiveness from all the THOUSANDS of PROUD Kurds who died fighting for YOUR FREEDOM X(

I am still upset that any Kurd living in NK would ever so much as consider the idea of remaining under Turkish control after all the horrors that have been inflicted on Kurds by the Turkish government and military X(

HAVE KURDS FORGOTTEN ?

Let us remember the missing. Extremely difficult because nobody really knows how many THOUSANDS disappeared with the help of Turkey.

Let us remember all the Kurds whose bones were thrown into mass graves. From late 1980s onwards, the bodies of THOUSANDS of were unceremoniously dumped into mass graves. Bones from these mass graves, evidence of THOUSANDS of MURDERS, is still routinely being destroyed.

One well known mass grave site was used as a PUBLIC RUBBISH DUMP X(

14 January (part 2)

The word for the day is: prestidigitation (slight of hand) or (dexterity in the execution of tricks)
When Turkey hold out one hand in friendship watch carefully what the other hand is doing.

I feel strongly that Turkey is up to no good. The murders of those 3 unarmed ladies only go to reaffirm my original doubts as to the validity of these so-called peace talks.

I reiterate, Turkey is frightened VERY frightened, due to the strength of Kurdish nationalism in other regions of Kurdistan, and the soon to be Independence of South Kurdistan. Not forgetting the determination of Kurds in both West and East Kurdistan, to live in an Independent Kurdistan. There is absolutely NO WAY that the Kurds living in WK are going to give up their hard fought for freedom to become subjugated by a corrupt fascist country, such as Syria, ever again.

No one will ever convince me that during Ocalan's 13 years of isolation, his guards have spent hours chatting with him and keeping him abreast of current affairs. The conversation that did not take place:

"Good morning Sayin Ocalan, how are you feeling today? Would you like the morning newspapers? Very interesting article about the break-up of Sudan. Bit like you Kurdish chaps, fighting for freedom. They have won and the Sudan have been divided into 2 separate countries, still experiencing a few problems but early days yet."

"More sugar for your tea Sayin Ocalan? Have you heard the news about Scotland? Many people living in Scotland would like to be independent so they are going to vote on it". "No Sayin Ocalan they did not have to kill anyone"

"What would you like for your lunch sayin Ocalan? Would you like me to bring you the latest copy of Oil News so that you can read how well South Kurdistan is getting on"

"Sayin Ocalan, I have been meaning to ask you. What are your feelings on the large number of indigenous people worldwide, who have been given their traditional homelands back? The Maori in New Zealand have been granted good size portions of their traditional homelands. So strong are their rights that in many areas the white folk in New Zealand have to pay to cross Maori land."

"Sorry, Sayin Ocalan, thought you liked to keep in touch with what was going on in the outside world. Let me check your internet, soon have you connected again. An important person such as yourself cannot afford not to be kept well informed."

"Things change so quickly. All those countries that were once in the Eastern Block now free Independent countries in their own right, just to think that I never even knew they existed."

"Got to ask you, sayin Ocalan, but with every other indigenous people throughout the world being granted their freedom, or struggling to become free, WHY have you decided that your people should remain under Turkish control? I know that you are in continual and constant touch with your people. Just between the 2 of us, how many millions of tweets have you received from fellow Kurds wanting to remain part of Turkey?"

15 January

An example of exactly what Turks think of the Kurds living within their borders:

"I believe that the Turk must be the only lord, the only master of this country. Those who are not of pure Turkish stock can have only one right in this country, the right to be servants and slaves." Turkey's former Minister of Justice Mahmut Esat Bozkurt

As a non-Kurd myself, I try hard to keep up with the changing situation in Turkey and would very much appreciate it if someone could help me by answering a few quick questions:

1) Do Kurdish school children living in NK still have to chant "Happy is he who can call himself a Turk" at school?

2) Are Kurdish men still obliged to join the Turkish army and, in so doing, take part in action against other Kurds?

3) Are Kurdish children living in Istanbul more likely to be illiterate than their Turkish counterparts?

4) Do Kurds still have a lower average wage than Turks in a similar occupation?

5) Do Kurds living in the West of Turkey have the same opportunities for employment advancement as their Turkish counterparts?

I know that you are NOT going to like what I am thinking :ymdevil:

I started a topic: You cried you marched now help Kurdish Info Centres And stressed OTHER PEOPLE MAY WELL BE AT RISK

If you cared enough to have taken part in the protest marches then PLEASE care enough to HELP
I thought that was a fair comment

Could you spare ONE day a month to volunteer in one of these Information Centres?
Most of the people who help in these centres give their time freely

Would you give up the cost of ONE packet of cigarettes each week to help provide more security and better protection for the people working in these Information Centres?
Surely if people are so shaken and upset by the murders in Paris that they come out in their THOUSANDS to protest, they would want to help and make sure that nothing like that ever happens again

PLEASE help the Information Centres NOW so that nobody else is ever murdered in one of them again
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=11635&p=93699#p93699

I will re-word it and try to get a response

A Kurdish centre in Belgium was burnt down could there be a connection ? I think YES

Genk, Belgium, the Kurdish Cultural Association burnt down following a Molotov cocktail attack

Vienna, Austria, 11 January the Kurdish Tourist Information Office had windows broken

Avignon, Fance, 12 January the Kurdish Cultural Centre was set ablaze

Mulhouse, France, 25 December 25 the Kurdish Association was burnt down by a petrol attack

Even more reason for Kurdish people to support these centres. Or perhaps most Kurds are too busy watching TURKISH TV to take time out and give some support where and when it is needed. I am sure they will manage to switch off their TURKISH TV and go on protest marches next time innocent Kurdish ladies are killed. What we NEED is people willing to take action NOW to prevent any further killings.

Let us run away together :x

I think that you are VERY BRAVE you and all your friends risking your own lives, working in hospitals in Syria are TRUE HEROES :ymapplause:

If leaders want to fight send them all to an island in the middle of nowhere, let them fight among themselves and leave all the innocent people to live in peace, love and harmony :ymhug:

If a race of people have lived on the same land for thousands of years it should be THEIR land :D

Theft is theft, whether it is stealing another person's watch or stealing their land it is still theft X(

If someone breaks into your house and steals your chairs, are you going to invite him in to take everything else NO you are going to close your door

If someone steals your lands, your history, your language, your culture, are you going to reward him by paying HIM taxes for YOUR land, speak HIS language, use HIS names for YOUR children ?

18 January

It has been snowing in England. Only a few inches but enough to stop buses running and cancel flights and trains.

As I look out of my window, from my lovely warm centrally heated home, I think of all those poor suffering Kurdish refugees living in tents and wish that there was a way that we as individuals could send them something, and be certain that it got to them. Sad that anyone would take the food from people who are starving but we know it is happening :((

18 January (part 2)

What do Kurds living under Turkish rule really want?

Have they learnt enough about their past to even make an informed decision?

Kurds in Turkish schools are still learning how good it is to be TURKISH

It is not the fault of the Kurds that they lack knowledge. Knowledge is power and Turkey never wanted Kurds to have any power so they purposefully suppressed and forbade any and all knowledge of Kurdish history, language and culture.

Very few Kurds actually know very much about their history. They know only the little that was passed down to them through generations and has become distorted over a period of time. Much of the terrible things that Turkey has done to Kurds will never be known. The truth of the extent of some incidences are only now becoming known. This film shows a part of history that should be shown to all Kurds who believe WRONGLY that Kurds should remain living under Turkish control.

I would LOVE a copy of this film with English subtitles :D

Kurdistan means "Land of the Kurds" Turkey is a big fat bird with NO brain :ymdevil:

My main thought of the day is how to beat Piling at mah-jong Image

My other much more serious thought, is why cannot some of the more wealthy Kurds sponsor a starving Kurdish family in Syria ?

The big fat rich Kurdish politicians could make a start and show the world how united Kurds really are :D

I would like to know other people's thoughts on this :ymhug:

I doubt that the protest made any difference regarding the escape of the killlers. However, I think the protest showed that the Kurds are not going to take crap from anyone and it was a good message of showing solidaroty to the world and especially the enemies.

What would be an excellent time to protest would be on the anniversary of the signing of the Lausanne treaty. If Kurds worldwide united on that day I think many people would realise what has happened to them :D

Late again

I have been giving some serious thought to protests and what I wrote earlier about having a worldwide protest on the anniversary of the signing of the Lausanne treaty. ALL Kurdish groups joining in showing the world a UNITED Kurdish people. I like the idea. SERIOUSLY. Kurds from ALL parts of Kurdistan WHEREVER they are. Hundreds of thousands, perhaps even MILLIONS of Kurds holding silent marches and protests, giving out press releases, handing out leaflets and NEVER saying a single word.

Please tell me what YOU think :ymhug:

Help I have been robed

Where are all the comments regarding my last post about having a day of silence on the anniversary of the signing of the Lausanne treaty ?

I know that there was at least one comment and possibly more

I am not the only person missing posts. One person posted a lovely large article and it vanished Image

Yes this site is under alien attack. The contents of the topics keep vanishing into the unknown and the site owner has to reload everything each time that happens.

Perhaps it is Piling trying to delete my high score on Mah-jong 8-}

Tomorrow, or rather today depending on what time it is where you are, is an extremely important day in Kurdish History. I hope that it will be remembered and celebrated by Kurds worldwide. As it was originally such a great cause for celebration among Kurds :ymparty:

The people could not have known that their celebrations were going to be so short lived. We must never forget. The all to brief happiness. The lasting sorrow.
