As an acadamic person you should know that claiming victimization is not the same as being victimized . I would agree that there were plenty of frictions in the past between ethnic and religious groups that escalated to even massacres in the case of Armenian and Assyrians and yazidis who were forced into islam in the Ottoman's era , but in modern times , I believe the situation although not perfect , is as good as it can be . I grew up in a village surrounded by christain and Yazidi villages in kurdistan and not once did i feel the hostility from any side . It is customery to be circumsized with the attendence of a Yazidi who then become your Kirive which is something similar to a Godfather . The tradition then passed on to the next generation and the relation between the yazidi family and the kurdish family continue from generation to generation . It also involve visits by both families in religious occations and weddings . Yazidis are one of the most trusted worthy people you could meet once you get to know them .
