It was Spring yesterday but today it has been Summer

Lovely weather to sit I the park and count ducks only that lake did not have any duck. Daddy Swan has chased them off the lake because Mummy Swan is egg-sitting. Daddy Swan paddles around close to the nest with his neck up straight and his wings half open ready to attack anything that dares to land on HIS lake. He will become even more aggressive when the little babies hatch, then he will even attack people if they get too close to his family

Yet another day of non-information on Firat News Actually it has become totally useless to most non-Turkish speakers recently, as it prefers to write everything in Turkish the beloved language of the Mountain Turks

Soon there will be no more Kurds in Turkey

Nothing makes any sense to me:

The PKK spent years awakening pride within the Kurdish community, and promised an Independent Kurdistan. That was the reason THOUSANDS of people left their families and friends to join the PKK.

All those brave people who have lost their lives fighting for freedom have been betrayed

Are the PKK totally MAD?

2 years ago erDOGan, under pressure from the EU, promised to change the Turkish constitution. There was NO change. Several months ago erDOGan supposedly entered into peace talks with Ocalan. There was NO change. Further promises of a rewritten constitution were made. There was NO change. Only now is Turkey starting to rewrite it's constitution, and that is mostly due to erDOGan's desire to be president.

The PKK are surrendering because an out of touch pensioner, who once promised Kurds their freedom, has decided he LOVES Turkey

If the PKK all move into South Kurdistan they will NOT be made welcome. At one time the SK government wanted the PKK to leave but the Kurds in South Kurdistan supported them because they were fighting for Kurdish freedom the same way the Peshmerga had done and the Kurdish people believed in a United Kurdistan. Now that the Kurds in Turkey have decided to remain Turkish the dream of an Independent Kurdistan has been totally destroyed.

The PKK are STUPID to trust Turkey and should remain on Turkish soil until Turkey provides positive proof of inprovement.

I do NOT believe in fighting, I believe in peaceful protest, but even I do not think that the fighters of the PKK should leave Turkey. I cease-fire is more than enough

The PKK have let Kurdish people down. They have destroyed the Kurdish dream.

Worse than that the PKK have destroyed all chance of future generations to live in freedom

If the PKK are STUPID enough to leave Turkey who will be there to control the Kurdish youth?

These young Kurds have grown up on promises of freedom, or at least some form of self government, I do NOT believe that they will suddenly turn into Turkish loving zombies as the older generations of Kurds appear to be doing

Due to the Internet, young Kurds are not longer uninformed as their parents were. They know exactly what happened to their parents and grandparents generations. They also know about the growth of South Kurdistan.

Young Kurds will ask WHY

WHY cannot they have the same freedom as Kurds in South Kurdistan
WHY have their hopes been destroyed
WHY have they been betrayed
WHY has the sacrifice of their friends and relations who died for freedom, been forgotten

SUMMER has arrived

We seem to have missed spring altogether and gone from minus 5c to 22c almost overnight

My freckles are coming out and my nose has turned red

The earth is 92.96 million miles from the sun. My nose catches the sun more than the rest of me WHY it is only an inch closer to the sun than the rest of my face

I have NEVER heard that expression before. Is it an old French saying

Yeah in French we say that about a heavy rain : It rains like a cow pissing (il pleut comme vache qui posse). I think you say 'it's raining cats and dogs' but our saying is more… vulgar.

I wonder why it is that we use animals in order to emphasise heavy rain

I am not happy with the PKK.

I understand that Karayilan has to do what he has been told are Ocalan's orders, so as to prevent in-fighting within the PKK

I think that it is a great shame the PKK does not back up Karayilan, show him the support he richly deserves and totally ignore the conjoined twins erDOGan/Ocalan

I appear to be the ONLY person who thinks that it is odd Ocalan's lawyers have been prevented from seeing him for almost 2 years

I still think something is seriously wrong and I think that the PKK are making a great mistake in leaving Turkish soil for a multitude of reasons all of which I have listed on previously on this site
