I am NOT going to admit how much I spend on food - but as I cannot cook it is rather more than £1 a day :ymdevil:

You mean that you actually WEIGH you food

I am cutting down but do not think I could weigh my food :-o

Chocolate was the first thing to go
then my lovely toast with lots and lots of butter
also now eating smaller amounts of cheese - grated finely it goes further
not drinking very much fruit juice - I used to drink 2 litres every day
no more chicken curries with lots of thick creamy sauce
I have stopped eating cakes
stopped eating humus :(( :(( :(( :(( :((

I with my food because I have a calculator about the number of calories I have NOT to exceed (2100).

Soif I look at the table, they say : a cod (150g = 119 calories ; 20 g of milk chocolate = 112 calories, etc.

It is the best way to know exactly what we could eat or not :

I am using a different technique

As I mentioned before - I no longer eat chocolate or cakes

Today I will weigh myself at the doctor surgery - then start my diet properly

I intend to eat smaller meals - or snacks - at least 4 times a day - hoping to keep up my metabolic rate and burn off more calories

Less cheese - less rice - less friend food - more salad - cut out sweet black tea other than with one meal a day

As you have to make a diet for surgery, you could not take a nutritionist's advice ?

I only go to visit my doctor and use his professional scales - I have refused further surgery because I could end up in a wheelchair again :(

Losing weigh is good for you back issue, sure.

In my opinion you could eat chocolate if not in huge quantities. Chocolate has healthy effects.

I would not have the willpower to stop eating chocolate once the packet was opened - perhaps later when I have lost more weight :D
