Anthea kindly refrain from excessive derogatory and provocative remarks. Remember there are millions of Kurds who love and respect Ocalan.

They loved anf respected Ocalan when he offered FREEDOM and UNITY - he no-longer offers that X(

Ocalan has stated that he does NOT want a Kurdish state - the people died for NOTHING X(

Several of my friends joined the PKK and fought and died for an INDEPENDENT KURDISTAN

They did NOT give their lives so that Kurds could remain a part of Turkey

They did NOT give their lives for a few rights that Turkey has to allow then anyway in order for them to continue with the EU application

They did NOT give their lives for a few rights that Turkey has to allow then anyway in order to comply with UN requirements

They gave their lives - they died - they are no more - they left behind mothers - father - brothers - sisters - husbands - wives - sons - daughters - in order to fight for Kurdish INDEPENDENCE

Am I the only person who remembers those courageous young people ?

Flame of Hope
By Chiya Muksi

You are the burning flame of hope

To those broken souls,

Denied of existence

Stripped of their pride and dignity

Victims of constant assimilation

Tortures and executions

The fear of being who you are

One''s very birth right

Banned from the mother tongue

Separated from the roots

And from one''s very own identity.

To those who yearn for freedom

Children of the fire worshipers

Saladin and Ehmede Xani

Legendary Barzani

You are the burning flame of hope

Burning in one corner of Kurdistan

Source of courage, dignity and pride

Stomped by the cruel rulers

Homes turned into rubble

Bombed, gassed, ripped apart.

Resisted to countless attempts of genocide

Cultural and Physical

You are the flame of hope

Burning in one corner of Kurdistan

The land that was ripped apart

By the borders of our cruel rulers,

Filled with land mines,

Electric fences and watch towers

Each took a brutal turn

To extinguish the flames of hope

As it tried to become alive.

You are the long lasting flame

That will spread throughout our land

Beyond the imposed borders of our cruel rulers

To bring dignity and pride to our nation

To be able to say

I am a Kurd again.

Who knows which famous Kurd wrote this much loved and often quoted phrase ?

Even if dying of hunger or from poverty
Still I will not serve strangers all my life long,
I have no fear of chains, ropes, rods, or the prison
Should they hack me into pieces, should they kill me?
Still I will say: I am a Kurd!

I will give you a clue:

It certainly was NOT Ocalan :ymdevil:
