By the way I am chestnut with pale skin and freckles. But I envy red hair people, or blonde or dark. Chestnut is a disappointing color, not a real one, just a compromise between brown and blond.

At least, being red makes you remarkable.

I am a revolting ginger rather than a rich red - when I was a child my hair was thinker and it looked as thought I was wearing a wig 8-|

We both have the same problems - we freckle - we need to be very careful in bright sunshine

Last year I had so many freckles they joined together and at a distance, I looked as though I had a sun tan

So far this summer I have had more goose pimples (due to the cold) than freckles 8-|

I have read a paper about Neanderthal race and apparently, they could have been mostly red-hairs with a pale skin and freckles. As they live during Glaciation Period, red people are like pale blond group, their absence of melanin help them to got all benefits from a cold sun.

As we know that many Europeans and Middle-Easterners have Neanderthal genes in their DNA, perhaps red hair is a Neanderthal legacy. So indeed the memory of another human race… that's fascinating.

Where it is agreed that ginger haired people suffer greatly in the heat and have to avoid strong sunlight, I feel that I must stick up for us as a minority group

We are still ridiculed

If the photo said blacks are exploding in the streets there would be a public outcry X(

Gingers are the most ridiculed, non religious group on the planet

Finally, weather I can enjoy :D

No longer am I confined to nocturnal wandering or thick wooded areas

No longer do I flit from tree to tree as my dogs wander freely

My lovely white skin is finally losing that gastly bright pink glow of summer

I AM WHITE AGAIN :ymparty:

I never tan, I just go a variety of shades of pink, from light bright pink to beetfoot

If I had black hair I would look like a Goth

Sadly, my lovely bright ginger hair is starting to fade :((

White hair is growing with years. My golden chestnut lighten with white threads, but not much. Too bad, I would like to have very snowy hair.

My hair seems to change colour with the seasons - or the bottle I use :ymdevil:

My natural hair seems to be light golden and silver :D

In summer the sun lighten our hair also. In winter, we are darker (and our skin paler, as vampires :ymdevil: )

In French we call it "teint laiteux" : literally a milky complexion. :-D
