2017 : a year in Duhok

This is where you can talk about every subject (previously it was called shout room)

I need exactly 15 kg to reach my ideal weight. How do I calculate ?

According to science, waist size should have in cm the half of the height. Now, as 1cm of waist size = 1 kg, it is simple to calculate how many I have to lose.

Fortunately, Lent starts on March 1st. It will help.

I know what the pigeon refuses to fly, He is afraid of Daesh :

http://geopolis.francetvinfo.fr/daech-i ... tion-63533

Daesh bans pigeons and condemns to flagellation any owners of such birds. Why ?

Their genitals would be "offensive" in flight.

Leurs organes génitaux seraient «offensants» en plein vol.

I wonder how Jihadists can see pigeons' genitals, under all their feathers and some meters above their heads.

Probably Allah gave them a SUPER EYE.

So the pigeon might be able to fly but it plays the cripple in case of a Daesh incursion in Duhok. :D

I translated the actual headlines:

The site Al Arabiya reports that the organization of the Islamic State has issued a decree, of which it reproduces a copy, prohibiting the breeding of pigeons on the territories that it controls. Their genitals would be "offensive" in flight. Offenders expose themselves to prison and public flogging.

You had better be careful because if ISIS comes your way you will be in BIG trouble :ymdevil:

I had a parrot named Reggi (a male name) then to my surprise he started laying eggs

I certainly could not see his genitals or lack there of from 6 inches away but I am not a Muslim with a SUPER EYE =))

What will ISIS do about unowned feral pigeons - catch them and put little pants on them :))

I hope enormous flocks of pigions fly over ISIS jihadists and shit on the lot of them :D

Prhaps that's the true reason of this ban. Once the Caliph of Mosul went out of his house and a pigeon shit on him. :D

Now we have a winter cold. Yesterday, some snow (but soon melt). Night at -2.

The sun is coming back today.

I made a mistake when measuring my waist, I need to lose only 9 kg. Notwithstanding, 15 is a good goal.

My diet diary :

Morning : black coffee.

Lunch : Green salad (1 tbsp oil, 3 tbsp vinegar), 300g of pipe rigate, tomato sauce, tuna can with oil.

Dinner : lens soup (1 bowl), pizza (150g), 1 malt drink (beer taste without alcohol).

less than 1400 calories.

If I am hungry at 4.pm, I could drink a coffee with milk.

What I miss in Duhok is physical activity. In France, I walked 1 h per day for going and coming back from the Institute. At home I had a bike for cardio training. Of course, I could not take it with me in Kurdistan.

Here in Duhok, it is not easy to walk, because that city is made for cars and not for walkers. Riding a bike in its streets is a suicide, Kurdish drivers are anarchists.

I feel the need to spend my energy but how ? I don't like gym nor fitness. If I find some kids' games to play alone, like Jokari (I remember when I were a kid I played hours). Or jumping rope. Or if anyone has an idea…

]Lost 1 kg, I think.

Yesterday, the school celebrated Students' Day. The younger class (7th) played a cute patriotic drama. It is easy to understand, even in Kurdish :

Kurdistan is a country of beautiful dancing ladies. Then Daesh gangsters came and killed them. A survivor cursed them, they threatened, but the brave Kurdish fighters arrive and make them prisoners, while Kurdistan raises up with its flag.

Final patriotic anthem with a sample of all Kurdish fighters.

I bought a jumping rope. 3 minutes : EXHAUSTING. I remember when I was 10, jumping during 1 hour. We should never pass 10 years.
