Is your comment directed at me?abdur wrote:umm yeah, our site http://northerniraq.info states that "there is no northern iraq".
I think I understand, but why don't you have a different site name?Diri wrote:Hehehe
Don't worry Lorri... He is right...
This site is called:
http://northerniraq.info
But the opening page states:
"There is no Northern Iraq"
So he is right...
There is no "Northern Iraq" because it is "South Kurdistan" - and if there IS a "Northern Iraq" it will have to be south of Mosul...

Because the whole point is that the site informs people who google "Northern Iraq" or "North Iraq" that there is NO "Northern Iraq"... So it's an info-campaign in a way...
People don't know about "Kurdistan" - so they search for "Northern Iraq" on the net - and then they'll come here and see the statement...
Lol. He's not my boyfriend, but it's not out of the question, lol.UE_kurdophile wrote:Yes, i am Italian but my ex-boyfriend is from Sulaymanyia (oh God! I will never learn how to spell his city's name! ) and he "opened up my eyes" (the same that your boyfriend is doing I see) . I met him in Uk, where he lives. Then I came back here and found out I had many kurdish neighbours (families with loads of lovely and lively children ). Then I moved to another city for my university and met many Kurdish guys, great people(and great cooks !); then I went on holiday in France and met other Kurds, ...it seems like like everywhere I go there are Kurds ready to teach me something about Kurdstan!
It is very interesting to me, really, but quite confusing too,as everyone wants me to learn his own version of the facts.
So I think this forum is very good because it is objective and truthful ...apart from the post where Diri wants to convince us that Kurds are the best in the world and the rest is 2nd class! (Diri don't get upset I am just joking! ) . I am no more with my boyfriend, some of my Kurdish friends have been sent back to K or have left Italy for other reasons, but I am still very much interested in Kurdistan. I hope have answered enough to the question.
