Yes, my friend has said that Braveheart is his fave film (mine too). He shows me pictures of Kurdistan, and it is so much like Scotland.Diri wrote:AlbaSaab wrote:No. Do I have to be?dyaoko wrote:so you re not kurd yourself ?
No - you don't have to be...
Scotish are a lovely people...
Kurds and Scotts share a lot of similar history... Being oppressed at the hands of the dominant and unified central government - English in your case, Syrian/Turkish/Iranian/Iraqi in our case...
Braveheart is like a Kurdish story...
I really need some help and advice, and am still googling everything, but I can't find what I need. I don't know whether I should post it here or not. It's about getting children back from Kusrdistan (I think). Soliemaniya (sp) LOL.Diri wrote:AlbaSaab wrote:No. Do I have to be?dyaoko wrote:so you re not kurd yourself ?

Ok, will do, thanks.Diri wrote:So! You can brows the many threads and topics we have made so far - or you can ask questions or ask for info...
There are many threads about different things - so perhaps before asking - maybe you should brows the different sections of the forum and see if you can find the answers yourself - if not, you can always use the Search engine at the first/initial page - which you can go to by clicking on the logo at the very top here...
On the left hand - it says "Search"... Write the word you wanna search! And you'll get a list of threads which discuss that word...

What matters interest you the most?
I have no political persuasion, therefore I am interested purely from a humanatarian perspective. I must confess that I knew very little of the plight of the Kurds, but have learned a great deal recently by listening to my friend. He has opened my eyes, once again to the horrors of our world - which I tried to shut out.Diri wrote:Yes... I knew I missed one...
Exactly - matters regarding Kurdistan...

Not only one; I am making sure that my children, their friends, and my friends are educated.Diri wrote:AlbaSaab wrote:Diri wrote:Yes... I knew I missed one...

Well, I am very glad that you are here and that you care to learn about our struggle and aspirations, past and present and culture...
We Kurds are a resiliant people - who've, despite Turkish, Persian and Arab assimilation policies, stood the test of time... We preserved our culture, language and legacy...
Now we wish for the world to hear about it and to learn a lesson to from it... We would more than anything like for the West to support our political struggle and to aid us in our battle against ethnic-cleansing/assimilation and discrimination based...
Thank you... Your presence is of great importance - and it matters... Now - one more person in this enormous world, knows of our plight and struggle...
