The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

HI fortuna,welcome!!!!!!!!!
You reminded me on when I was 17 in UK,I met a phantastic handsome boy and he told me:"I am a Kurd from "Iraq"...I felt so embarassed, no idea there were Kurds in Iraq,I thought only in Turkey!!! Then he explained me everything,it took him days and weeks!!!
