Slaw Kurdish brothers

PostAuthor: Ozgur » Tue Dec 03, 2013 12:49 pm

Hi I am new. Are Turks welcomed in this forum? :)

Just to be clear I am not one of those racist Turks, I believe in peace between Turks and Kurds. Our conflict, imo, only serves outside powers.

Also I have a Kurdish gf, so can't possibly hate you people :)

Thank you for the welcome, Piling.
I asked that question because I had a look at some of the threads here and I have to say some of you are not really fond of us Turks. Though, I don't blame you at all, we did treat many people wrongly over the last one hundred years. And we were in many cases the aggressor. I think I would feel the same if I were a Kurd.

As I am French and not Kurd I have not the same epidermic reactions. Kurds are anti Turkey for many good reasons but it is nit the same thing than being 'anti Turks' and as a moderator I try to forbid all sorts of racist reactions, anti Turks as

Ok that sounds like an interesting story. So you can speak Kurdish?

Could you tell me what it says here:

"txwaaj ama shta? fashlina xhhon aw zhnanawgli hamwtan hay7izna wa baw afrta naoxha raberen bron lasaxfr ker halren ewa qa7 pana walla dyara ba sarw chwtnwa ker wa halqm axon ow xoshyyan krdwa ba Gyan estja lanawyana nabe"

is it Kurmanji Kurdish?

No, this is soranî written with that fantasist Latin alphabet that sorans use to write Kurdish instead of using the better Kurmancî alphabet. So in with the real soranî alphabet I could understand a bit but with a such rubbish writing, I understand nothing.

Hi Anthea, thank you for the warm welcome.

Of course that guy is not me. He is Burak Ozcivit the actor. I have to say I look silently more handsome than him :) He is a good actor, do you watch his series? My gf is addicted to those tv series he is in.

What you mean you are mostly English? lol so far the french and english have welcomed me, are there any Kurds in this place?

j/k :)

by the way what does Nubar mean under my name?

Thank you Piling for the help. So the Soranis don't use the latin alphabet like the Kurmanjis, am I right? My gf is Kurmanji from Diyarbakir/Amed, that's what she told me.

Nûbar is the new plant, the earlier fruit. So = new member, newbie.

Soranî is written with arabic-persian alphabet but with particular adaptations to Kurdish sounds.
