ofcourse it is, I know that because I remeber in a linux forum I asked the Gender of the users, 90% of them were male.

linux is mostly for Professional Users.

and in Kurdish socities, it is Even More obvious , in Kurdish society most of computer nerds are Male, and there are not much kurds who use linux.
and when Isee a kurdish Girl knows about linux, I wonder !

I'm a 23-year-old male living in Baghdad. I have a bachelordegree in Electronics And Communications Engineering from Baghdad university. I work in a cell phone company.

Actually my origins are too complicated to explain, but nevertheless I'll try my best. My father is actually born in Iraq, but my ancestors are from Diyar Bakir in Turkey. He's actually Arnaoot and as far as I know these (Arnaoot) descend from Albanian origins. As for Kurdish part, it actually comes from my mother who happens to be Kurdish. She's from Kirkuk, but it has been a long time since they came to Baghdad.

missIndependent>> I work with UNIX all the time. I work in a cell phone company in Baghdad. My work includes lots of UNIX/Linux. Besides I used to be a linux enthusiast before coming into my current job. I love linux. Do you like linux by the way? If you use linux, then what do you use?

Dyaoko>> I hope that my race paragraph answers your question about my origin, my friend. And by the way, I used to find it too hard to see a woman using linux, until I ran into a website called linuxchix. It's dedicated to promoting linux among women.

I've a lot of interests... I love programming. C, C++ & Assembly are my favourite. I love to read about computer security issues. I also like 3D graphics. I haven't accomplished much, but I keep reading about those things. I love Electronics, I do lots of reading regarding that as well. I love Heavy Metal music. And finally I'm trying to learn German all by myself, which makes me laugh at myself often. LOL.

I hope that answers most of your questions. If I happened to forget to mention something, I'd really like to know about it. Boy I talk too much.

Thank you all my friends

Very nice, Root... :) Bi xêr hatî - welcome...

Thank you for sharing that with us! It is good to have you here!

Yes, Arnavût are of Albanian origin - they settled in Kurdistan and Turkey during and after the fall of the Ottoman Empire...

Nice mix... :)

So what do you see yourself as? Kurdish or Arnavût?

:)

arnaoot or kurd

Diri>> Could be both. I had a rather stronger realtionship with my Kurdish family than with my Arnaoot famiy(except for my father of course) part.
