Hi there everyone, i am new so i thought i would introduce myself!

My name is Prinny, and i am from UK. I am engaged to my fiance, he is Kurdish Sorani, he was born in Mosul.

We are to be married in March 2011 and i come on here to learn some Sorani and more about his culture as a suprise for him.

One thing we find hard is he might be deported in the next 2 months, we are waiting for decision from home office but we pray that he will stay. We love each other very much, he has shown me more respect than any english man and i respect him and his religion 100%.

I love his Kurdish culture and everything he has told me, but i wish to know more.

I look forward to learning :)

Hey Prinny20!

Welcome to RBK! :)

I only know basic Soranî, but don't understand it quite fluently.
Feel free to ask for translations though. If I can't help ya, then someone else here will.

Also hope he won't be deported. Keep us up here on details...

Welcome!

its not safe if Home Office know the real address of someone, it would be better for this boy to move to a place that Home Office doesnt know. but i am suprised that they consider deporting him, if he is from Mosul.
where about in England you both live, if dont mind me to ask?

regards.

Hi :)

We live in Hastings, in East Sussex. He has indefinate leave to remain in UK, he has been here 8 years but we were getting trouble from some other kurdish, his friends let him down and got him involved with police. We have now given home office all his details about his family and why he had to leave Kurdistan and about his childhood, we also sent them a copy of my passport and a letter of why i want him to stay, we just waiting for their reply. We have solicitor who thinks we have good case, especially because what happened to him in past and we have evidence to prove his friends are lying to police so we hope it will be ok. We just hope they let him stay, it's just horrible waiting around for 2 months until they tell us.

Thanks for making me feel welcome! :)

Hello again, i haven't been online in a while just thought i would give an update about my fiance.

We heard from Home Office last week, they are saying he might be able to stay as he has 2 children with his ex partner who is english, we just have to get copies of their birth certificates and send them to home office to prove he is the dad and see what happens. If they still want to deport him he will have to go to deportation centre in Dover or London which is very far away from me, until we get a date for court with Home office.

We have now cancelled our wedding in March 2011 as we do not know what is going to happen with this. It is very upsetting but we hope something good will happen for us soon.

I also have been learning little sorani, he teach me a little but he is very happy and impressed that i am learning :)

Prinny - dont let them to take him to detention center, they have no right to keep any Kurd in place like that. you should get marreid as soon as possible - so even if he will be back to Kurdistan, you will be able to take him to Uk as his wife.

Hi,Prinny20
I just wanted to wish you the very best, and hope everything works out for you.
I'm in a somewhat similar situation myself, and I know what it feels like. the waiting, the calling, the fight with the authorities. I'm not sure how it is done in England, but it shouldn't be too far from what happens in Norway.

I'm currently learning kurdish, from the internet, talk now software, dictionaries and my fiancee, as I want to be able to speak with his family and friends when i go to Kurdistan.

and of course: welcome=)

this topic is so intresting :-) I would like to know what english girls see in kurdish boys, I see many english girls married to kurdish boys.
I have been told that kurdish boys are more caring than english boys, is that true?
