Hello,

I'm Pavo from the Netherlands.
I'm desperately looking for a friend in Kurdistan, but all I know about his dwelling place is that he lives in Telkeber (near Zakho in Kurdistan). I don't have any other contact details, but I would like to speak with him.
So I joined this forum, hoping that there is someone among who lives in Telkeber or knows people in Telkeber, who can help me finding my friend. Please, help me by your response.

Thanks a lot in advance!

My friend I'm looking for is Maher Eyyup Sadi.

I really hope anyone can tell me how to find him in Telkeber.

Wow, every response will help me!

I'm a Dutch graduate classics at Leiden University.
To my regret, I still don't read Arabic, it's still one thing to be learned in future.

I suppose you are right with Tall Kabar. It is pronounced Telkabar / Telkeber, but it should be written like you say 'Tall Kabar'.
The 'Telkabar' of my friend is indeed near Zakho in Duhok and I remember that it has been merged with the great city of Zakho.
But originally it is a small village / city near Zakho (about 1hour driving from Karaula at the border).

I think it is northeast of Zakho: see http://www.worldplaces.net/de/irq/08/tall-kibar/

I'm looking for Maher Eyyup Sadi (maybe EyĆ¼p or something like this) in Tall Kabar. Can you help me further with finding him?
Does anyone of you live in Tall Kabar?

i cant help you much, but i will try to ask about your friends name from few people of zaxo and duhok, who are my friends on one website.
if you really like to learn foreign language - i encourege you to learn sorani kurdish - i think this language has the great future - South Kurdistan is in process of developing and will become an interesting business partner for a lot of countries - its already a great place for investing and making business - so sorani might be very usefull.
and by the - language - way. would you agree to do one volunteer job for Kurdistan - i mean translating something into dutch language, the report about Kurdistan (specially Western Kurdistan), about the country and its people. we would like to show it to different countries governments - we already sent it to France and UK. the text is noit very complicated - so if you would be so kind to spend some of your time - i will appreciate it very much.
