Hello everyone

I have no idea how this works

I am an English lady and I have had Kurdish friends for over 30 years

My original 2 Kurdish friends, 2 brothers from northern Kurdistan, are still my closest friends, as are their families, friends and many members of their communities. The ladies are extremely welcoming and friendly

As a teacher and a community worker, I also made friends with many Kurds form Iraq, Syria and Iran, along with VERY MANY different cultures. Of all the different cultures I have had the pleasure of knowing the Kurdish people the people whose love and friendship I cherish the most

The saddest thing is that Kurdish people are the people who seem to know the least about their own history

My intention is to try and change that
