It has been known for months FSA has chemical weapons

PostAuthor: Anthea » Fri Sep 06, 2013 9:43 pm

It is always wrong to kill

It is even more wrong to kill non-combatants especially women, children, the old and the infirm

Does it really matter to a dead person's family and friends how they were killed - dead is dead - unless that person was themselves a combatant they should still be alive

Did Assad's army use the chemical weapons?

Why is everyone keeping quiet about the FSA's claims from earlier this year to have access to chemical weapons - indeed the FSA army claimed to have used chemicial weapons on KURDS

Let me remind you dear readers of some of those claims:

RT January 02, 2013 19:25

Free Syrian Army claims chemical weapons capability

A prominent member of the Free Syrian Army claims the rebels have all the components to produce chemical weapons and have the know-how to put them together and use if necessary.

“If we ever use them, we will only hit the regime's bases and centers,” the political adviser of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), Bassam Al-Dada, was quoted by Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency.

FSA elements in the Syrian army to secure chemical weapons: rebel leader

Ahmed al-Naemah, head of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) in the southwestern city of Daraa, says there are opposition elements in the Syrian regime’s military, however, they are not declaring their defections to secure weapons from falling into the hands of extremist groups. (Al Arabiya)

Al Arabiya Exclusive -

Chemical weapons and armored vehicles were to be secured by Free Syrian Army (FSA) members that still remain in the Syrian regime ranks and have yet to declare their defections, the head of the FSA in the southwestern city of Daraa told Al Arabiya in an exclusive interview.

“The percentage of defections lately has declined, this is because we have asked some Syrian soldiers to stay in the regime’s army, and to cooperate with us to secure our armored vehicles and chemical weapons from falling into the hands of extremist groups,” Ahmed al-Naemah confessed to Al Arabiya’s Rima Maktabi.

Naemah was a colonel in Bashar al-Assad’s army but defected last year.

“We have about five to six brigades [in Syrian army] in Damascus who are working for the FSA,” Naemah added.

Alarming Footage: Syrian Rebels Used Chemical Weapons
By Ted on March 25, 2013 in General

In December of last year we revealed that the rebels had in their hands potent chemical weapons and were testing them on rabbits, and we predicted that they will use them on innocents.

Well now it is happening.

And now, new evidence translated from Arabic sources reveals the likelihood that it was the Muslim rebels (FSA) and not the Assad regime that carried out a chemical attack on the town of Khan al-Assal, west of Aleppo.

We have captured clips that were never translated (until now) showing rebels revealing heavy arsenals including weapons of mass destruction that contain chemical agents.

Russia says that it was the FSA that carried out the massacre while the White House says that there is no evidence that the rebels are responsible.

In the Arab circles, the blaming goes back and forth. The Syrian government blames the FSA and vise versa.

So who do we believe?

“The percentage of defections lately has declined, this is because we have asked some Syrian soldiers to stay in the regime’s army, and to cooperate with us to secure our armored vehicles and chemical weapons from falling into the hands of extremist groups,” Ahmed al-Naemah confessed to Al Arabiya’s Rima Maktabi.

Naemah was a colonel in Bashar al-Assad’s army but defected last year.

“We have about five to six brigades [in Syrian army] in Damascus who are working for the FSA,” Naemah added.

Nicknamed as Abu Jassem, the leader said most of FSA’s weapons were obtained after battles with regime forces and did not come from countries that announced their support for the revolution. He said most of the help they had received from those countries so far was merely logistical and financial.

Daraa is the cradle of the Syrian revolution, and Naemah said the FSA chose to take control of it for tactical reasons.

“Tactically we have chosen Daraa and strategically Damascus. The regime will not fall if it is not defeated in Damascus”.

The FSA is fighting a war with an army that is well equipped, but, the commander said the regime’s army gathered its strength from external elements.

“Assad’s forces are diverse. They have lately been joined by militias from Hezbollah and from Maliki in Iraq in addition to Brigade 15 and the Special Forces. There are also the thugs, some of whom are mercenaries and former prisoners that were recruited to fight against us” he told Maktabi.

Naemah said that Assad is trying to take Syria back in time and turn the country into another Somalia.

“They want the country to go back 50 years in time. No army, no infrastructure. If they are compelled to involve Al-Qaeda they will do so to spread chaos, and make Syria like Somalia.”

The leader lost his bother in the two-year war and declared that “Freedom has no price”.

At least 70,000 Syrian have been killed in the conflict which erupted in March 2011.

SYRIA: FSA Chemical Weapons

This FSA ("Free Syrian Army") terrorist video shows improvised chemical "rockets" in March 2013 at Aleppo.

Some gascontainers were filled chemical substances and in order to get some active chemical weapon, a terrorist seems to put an "igniter stick" into the bottle before it is fired into the suburbs.

It's very sure these mostly saudi-arabia (US proxy) funded terrorists commited also in the august 2013 attacks on Damascus a false flag terror attack, in order to get the zionist agenda a step further and create a basis for another illegal US-aggression

UN's Del Ponte says evidence Syria rebels 'used sarin'

Testimony from victims of the conflict in Syria suggests rebels have used the nerve agent, sarin, a leading member of a UN commission of inquiry has said.

Image

Carla Del Ponte told Swiss TV that there were "strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof".

Ms Del Ponte did not rule out the possibility that government forces might also have used chemical weapons.

Later, the commission stressed that it had "not reached conclusive findings" as to their use by any parties.

"As a result, the commission is not in a position to further comment on the allegations at this time," a statement added.

The BBC's Imogen Foulkes in Geneva says the statement was terse and shows that the UN was taken by surprise at Ms Del Ponte's remarks.

The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria was established in August 2011 to examine alleged violations of human rights in the Syrian uprising. It is due to issue its latest report next month.

Syrian Military seizes Sarin Gas from ” rebels “

Christof Lehmann (nsnbc),- The Syrian Arab News Agency SANA reports that the Syrian Army has seized two containers with Sarin nerve gas. The seizure of the banned chemical followed the recent seizure of two cylinders with Sarin from 12 members of the Jabhat al-Nusrah front by Turkish law-enforcement officers. The evidence trail may lead to Saudi-Arabia and Malaysia. Russia and Syria continue demanding full and independent investigations.

According to reports from the Syrian Arab News Agency SANA, the containers with the banned Sarin gas were seized together with automatic rifles, pistols and improvised explosive devices in the Faraieh district of the city of Hama.

Sarin, which according to UN Resolution 687 is classified as a weapon of mass destruction, and which was internationally banned in 1993, is when it is deployed, an extremely toxic, odorless, colorless and extremely lethal nerve gas. Contact with even minute amounts of Sarin disrupts the nervous system and over-stimulates muscles and vital organs.

Both the administration of US President Obama and other representatives of the anti-Syrian alliance have repeatedly warned against the use of chemical weapons, called it a “game changer” and have repeatedly accused the Syrian government and military for using chemical weapons so as to justify a military aggression against Syria. Russia and Syria have repeatedly demanded full, independent investigations into every single case of chemical weapons use by expert commissions.

The US administration and members of the anti-Syrian alliance continue using chemical weapons threats to position the Syrian government and military as war criminals. A UN investigation as well as other, mounting evidence strongly suggests that it is the foreign backed opposition, first and foremost the strongest of the fighting forces with al-Qaeda association, such as Jabhat al-Nusrah, which are using chemical weapons including Sarin. Further more, the trace of evidence is leading to Turkey, Saudi-Arabia and eventually Malaysia.

The head of the UN commission investigating the use of chemical weapons near Aleppo, Carla Del Ponte stated in her report, that she, much to her surprise, could not find any evidence that supports, that the Syrian government or military used chemical weapons. Del Ponte further more stated, that the chemical weapons used in Aleppo were fired from an area that was being held by “rebel forces” at that time, and that evidence indicates that the chemical weapons may have arrived via, or even have been provided by Turkey.

Turkey finds sarin gas in homes of suspected Syrian Islamists – reports

Turkish security forces found a 2kg cylinder with sarin gas after searching the homes of Syrian militants from the Al-Qaeda linked Al-Nusra Front who were previously detained, Turkish media reports. The gas was reportedly going to be used in a bomb.

The sarin gas was found in the homes of suspected Syrian Islamists detained in the southern provinces of Adana and Mersia following a search by Turkish police on Wednesday, reports say. The gas was allegedly going to be used to carry out an attack in the southern Turkish city of Adana.

On Monday, Turkish special anti-terror forces arrested 12 suspected members of the Al-Nusra Front, the Al-Qaeda affiliated group which has been dubbed "the most aggressive and successful arm” of the Syrian rebels. The group was designated a terrorist organization by the United States in December.

Police also reportedly found a cache of weapons, documents and digital data which will be reviewed by police.

Following the searches, five of those detained were released following medical examinations at the Forensic Medicine Institution Adana. Seven suspects remain in custody. Turkish authorities are yet to comment on the arrests.

Russia reacted strongly to the incident, calling for a thorough investigation into the detention of Syrian militants
in possession of sarin gas.

"We are extremely concerned with media reports. Russia believes that the use of any chemical weapons is absolutely
inadmissible,” Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said on Thursday.

In a separate incident in Adana, police reportedly received intelligence that an explosive-laden vehicle had entered the town of Adana on Thursday, the Taraf daily reports.

Ankara has attempted to bolster the Syrian opposition without becoming embroiled in the Syrian civil war, a policy which Damascus claims lead to the deadliest act of terrorism on Turkish soil.

On May 11, 51 people were killed and 140 injured after two car bombs exploded in the Turkish town of Reyhanlı, located near the country’s border with Syria.A dozen Turkish nationals have been charged in the twin bombings, and Ankara has accused Damascus of helping the suspects carry out the attack.

"This incident was carried out by an organization which is in close contact to pro-regime groups in Syria and I say this very clearly, with the Syrian Mukhabarat [intelligence agency]," Interior Minister Muammer Guler said.

Syria’s Information Minister Omran Zoubi denied any link the attack, saying his country "did not commit and would never commit such an act because our values would not allow that".Zoubi further charged the Turkish government had facilitated the flow of arms, explosives, funds and fighters across the country’s border into Syria, claiming that that Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his party bear direct responsibility [for the attack]."

Reports of chemical weapons use by both Damascus and the Syrian opposition have surrounded the conflict in Syria for months.

I am just stating the obvious which for some reason is now being overlooked #-o

Earlier this year it was strongly believed that the FSA used chemical weapons on KURDS so why would you wish to support them?

I did NOT see America rushing in to support the Kurds X(

Some of the earlier information points to Turkey being involved in supporting the jihadists :-?

Whatever the truth is one thing I know for sure - we the general public are NEVER going to find out

We know that in the fullness of time - at the appropriate juncture - someone somewhere will make the wrong decision and yet more innocent people are going to die - I personally think that it is wrong to kill anyone - especially the innocent

What will America achieve by killing a few more thousand innocent people - they have already stated that it is not their intention to remove Assad from office - so obviously Assad will not be the target

America are notoriously bad when it comes to fighting - during most conflicts more American troops die from friendly fire than from enemy attacks :))

What are you still doing up (that is very fishy :-?) ?? I do not support FSA, stop trying to tarnish my image, because I am on to you. And you just post all kinds of crap on here that is pure propaganda, like for example you said FSA attacked Kurds with chemical weapons, tha to.me indicates that you are a ASSed supporter. FSA never attacked Kurds with chemical weapons, they are not Al Nusra or Al Qaeda, I am not supoorting yhem or anyone, I only support Kurds first then moderate true muslims second.

Most of what is reported in the mainstream media is propaganda - but there is something to be said for the old adage "No smoke without fire" and earlier this years it was genuinely believed that parts of the FSA had access to chemical weapons and had used some of those weapons on KURDS - a great deal was written about it in the media

I know why I am awake - sometimes I am in too much pain to sleep - when I am in pain I sit and play games - why are YOU awake?

Anthea, instead of pumping out your propaganda for some unknown reason, you should go bitch at your spineless parliament for being so scared to do anything about chemicals weapons being used in the first place. Or that coward Obama, the US is turning into another UK, a cowardly country that only follows others instead of doing the right thing.

If your country has any guts, they would back somebody and support them, like Russia.

Nobody accused me of pumping out propaganda months ago when I mentioned that the FSA had used gas on the Kurds :ymtongue:

With modern technology it is now possible to trace exactly where chemical weapons are manufactured and trace them back to find out who used them - the fact that so much information about previous chemical weapon attacks in Syria has vanished makes me wonder exactly what is going on :-?
