My Kurdish diet

A simple lunch in a resturant of Duhok, for 1 person. I did not order a coke, but it was a gift from the patron because I learnt Kurdish.

Macaronis are served cold. There were also beans (not on the pic) which are drowned in a tomatoes sauce.

What is the temperature out there?

It is nice now during the day, between 20 and 22ºc. At night, 12ºc.

Yesterday I ate at lunch :

a simple meat roll. But for dinner I bought chicken wings and I made a delicous rice soup.

Concerning the cakes, they are just horrible Violent chemical vivid colours and when you taste them they are… tasteless. Nothing to compare with European succulent crème Chantilly, crème pâtissière, crème anglaise, etc. with real cream and eggs and butter.

Eastern pasties and sweeties are so fine (if you like sugar) : halva, baklava, börek, lukul, etc. But their copy of Oz land -Disneyland false cakes are too bad, for they have real extraordinary dairy : kaymak for example, which make our crème fraîche something very light and austere…

I am already very busy to give French lessons to everybody but who knows, once I could open a French Cook School
