Kurdish conference paris

How was it piling? Was it about West-Kurdistan or hole Kurdistan?

That Bernard Dorin sounds like an interesting guy.
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

There were 2 conferences : on 29/11 one about the ME and democratization in general and the Kurdish Question and the second, today, on Western Kurds. I suppose that some texts of the first conference will be soonly on line.

Bernard Dorin is a nice guy, an old diplomat, very "école française". He has made a conference in the Institute to present his book, and he has explained why he was so fond of Kurds :

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/kurdistannameh/ ... dorin2.htm

There was Jonathan Randall too, and he was there for Western Kurdistan today.

I think that the second was more important, for Southern and Northern Kurds have made a lot of conference in National Assembly with the Institute. But it was the first time that Western Kurds were the main topic of a conference, and it allowed to Arab and Kurdish opposition in Syria to meet each other, it is easier there than in Damascus ! Some politician Kurds never went in Europe before, I know some of them, it was great to see them here.

GOD damn that Yekiti guy. I would like to meet Jawad Mella and the leader of Azadi, Yekiti, etc. But thx for your information.

One day I will go to Paris, but it's very expensive to go there.
