Kurdistan wants a TV !

PostAuthor: dyaoko » Mon Dec 19, 2005 7:14 pm

we Kurds dont have a TV, dont misundrestand me , Roj Tv, KurdSat, KurdistanTV , MeTV ,Zagros are not Reall TVs.
infact they are sattelite channells , which can be recived only by sattlie dish !
the thing which is forbiden in iran, and the thing that not everybody can afford to buy it ...
and we know kurds in kurdistan are not rich and only 10-20% of them can afford it ...and if they can afford it , governmetns like iran suspend it and punish ppl who have it.

cant Kurds in South Kurdistan [iraqi occupied Kurdistan] set up a tv which can be recived by normal TV Set , by every kurds , in the whole Kurdistan ? [turkish-iranian-syrian-armeinain occupied kurdistan ]

is that technically possible to broadcast from south kurdistan , to all of the kurdistan ? [or we would need to set up tower stations in each Kurdistan ?]

if techincally possible, is it legal to broadcast TV in another country's land ? [somebody please tell me if he/she knows]

we need an independecne TV which every kurd in all parts of kurdistan can get it with normal TV.... that would be a great way to fight with assimluation.

our currect TVs are more "Party's Propagenda Center" than a TV.

each nation's TV has things like this , the things that we dont have in our TVs:

TV Show Seriers
TV made movies
Education Prgorams [learn computer skills, coocking skills , Learning language]
Entertainment
Diffrent News sections [sport , science, politic] while our TVs just have one kind of news , and which are "More" Party's Propagenda News.

if we have a tv which can be recivied by all kurds and have all those programs we can hope to defend our language and our cluture and our existnace.

I don't think that a country could use hz channel of another country, only people who live at border can receive it. But by satellit, a channel can be watch very far.

In any case, state could have a channel satellit which broadcast their HZ nationnal program by this way too. For example the satellit channel TV5 broadcats French programms from many national channels, from France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Swiss, etc.

It costs money. Nut if one day Southern Kurds receive the money of their own oilfields (and don't hide it in their private pockets), perhaps they become rich enough...

Kurdistan is not that big... i mean...

if they set up a station just beside the border to broadcast waves to the other side of the border, most of the cities at the other side of the border would get the waves...

currectly in s.kurdistan kurd sat and kurdistan tv can be watched through normal TV sets without sattlite dish...

I am sure it is not that much Costy to make their waves come to the side of the border...

currectly I can listen to PKK's radio in Center of Iran.... if PKK can send its wave to here.... then southern kurds should be able to send their TV waves to me too.

[by the way where do PKK sends his Waves from ? that I can listen to it in center of iran? American Radios send their waves from Dubai]

I wouldn't think about "is it possible to do" - I would think about "will they let us do it": NO! :(

Damn them...

Satelite is the only way Roj TV, Kurdistan TV and all other channels are broadcast from Europe to the Middle East (and the USA - KurdSAT and Kurdistan TV)... Because it doesn't know broders... But normal antenna TV would know borders... And Turks, Persians and Arabs would never let us put up a TV channel with nationalist content AND not be a party/politically strong component in Society... I mean - Turkey and Iran WOULD shut down Kurdistan TV and KurdSAT too if they could - but they can't because of the power they have...
